  1. Hopkins is just an old cash register wanting to go "cha-ching" one more time. Would Arizona accept a sweet sweet bag of Cool Ranch Doritos for him? If not, I think I'd pass. Let someone else WAY overpay for him. Now, if they cut him and he comes in for a decent deal, then I would think about him.
  2. I'd like a franchise to start implementing the QB position just like the RB position. Keep drafting a QB every year and see if they pan out. Have 2-3 QBs always competing for the job and see who rises to the top and then build a great offense and defense will all the extra money you save on cheap QB. If a Josh Allen (ELITE) comes along... You sign him long term and change your philosophy on the position for 15 years. Anything less than Elite, you trade them away and get the extra draft capital out of them to make the team better. A strong team with a "serviceable" QB can win in this league. Lamar, Kyler, Wilson (in current state), Carr, are not elite IMO.
  3. Sounds like a problem for the dumb teams. I agree some team will pay out the wazoo for him. Trade him! His backup is just as good as he is.
  4. IF we had a big battering ram and an offensive line that could get us 3-4 yards when the JETS are flooding ppl up to the line, then I'd say ok. BUT with our offense, we are at an advantage at that time to throw the ball. The LB's will be coming in and will leave gaps for players to run into. WE JUST HAVE TO CATCH THE DAMN BALL!!! Don't take the foot off the accelerator.
  5. Chiefs Def isn't very good. Take the over on that one. Bills 40 Chiefs 28
  6. Maybe we could trade for Tribusky and get him back? Do you think the Steelers would pay most of his remaining salary and only take a 12 pack of Labatt's Blue for him?
  7. We got the 2 pieces to make a SB run for multiple years. Josh and Von. A superstar on both sides of the ball. Enjoy the ride.
  8. I'm already done w/ the rest of the NFL... I only care and watch the Bills!
  9. Don't need YAC w/ Josh Allen. He throws the ball all the way to the WR!
  10. If the USFL teams can keep continuity with their coaching staffs and the QB, the offenses should be better next year. Also, the USFL was smart and saved costs so they would survive. Hopefully they succeed.
  11. IMO, This is all in response to the USFL and XFL. Weakening their products even more by stashing more able bodies away from them.
  12. Can you make a deal with someone on here to buy you the shirt and then send it to you????
  13. love the pick, hate giving up a 4th. wish we could have given up less to move up, but happy w/ CB.
  14. The board is totally open now. I'd be ok with another CB. Make a weakness a strength.
  15. @Virgil Picks 16 and 19 went to the Jets correct?
  16. CMC, often broken RB, way overpaid... what's not to like here??? We are the one taking all the risk here by trading for CMC. It would have to be like a 4 or 5th round pick for me. (we could put an incentive based second pick for the 23 draft that could go from a 4-7 round pick)
  17. We have ALOT of contracts coming up in the next couple of years and we are going to need cheap players to fill holes when we resign Oliver, Diggs, Davis, Edmunds (not saying we resign them all). We need as many chances to pick good players in the draft. Going up to get sauce takes away picks that we need to fill upcoming holes. I’d draft a WR in the first, just for the 5th year option. DB and RB are priority after that. Sometimes we get so caught up in the first round that we need to get good players in the majority of the rounds to maintain a strong Bills team. Keep the picks.
  18. I consider Allen to be Elite, so I would keep him and build around him, just like Beane is doing. Just like the best coaches frame their gameplans to the players they have, I would do the same as a GM or owner. If you have an elite QB, ride that guy till he retires, if not, then you have to come up with a plan to put the best field on the team. In regard towards the picks, If the QB you want to trade isn’t good, you’re not going to get much. Darnold hasn’t shown he can play, wentz got traded the first time for a 2nd and a third. Cleveland in their ineptitude blundered the whole Mayfield situation. should have traded Mayfield earlier before Watson (or at same time). Cleveland has no leverage now.
  19. I kinda see your point here, but before Beane, I never thought the Bills were ran well. We kept taking RBs in the first round… took a texas lineman ( they all are weak). For this to work, you would need to focus on having a great defense and a offense to compliment it.
  20. I agree with you. This would have to be a decision from the owner on down agreeing to this type to team building. And if/when you get a guy like Allen fall in your lap, it would take agreement from all 3 (owner, GM, and coach) to keep that QB and transition to a more ‘normal’ team configuration.
  21. With the rise of the MEGA QB contact, unless the QB is ELITE, IMO it is not worth it to pay the QB. I would love to see a team treat the QB role like teams do right now for the RB role. Keep drafting QBs and play the best one that you have. Once they get close to the QB getting to his 5th year, trade him for a boat load of picks. Spend that 40+ million on making the rest of the offense and defense strong.
  22. Lockett is great! He would be a great pickup for the right price. No more than a 4th though. Too many good players in this draft to give up a 1-3rd for him.
