  1. We have ALOT of contracts coming up in the next couple of years and we are going to need cheap players to fill holes when we resign Oliver, Diggs, Davis, Edmunds (not saying we resign them all). We need as many chances to pick good players in the draft. Going up to get sauce takes away picks that we need to fill upcoming holes. I’d draft a WR in the first, just for the 5th year option. DB and RB are priority after that. Sometimes we get so caught up in the first round that we need to get good players in the majority of the rounds to maintain a strong Bills team. Keep the picks.
  2. I consider Allen to be Elite, so I would keep him and build around him, just like Beane is doing. Just like the best coaches frame their gameplans to the players they have, I would do the same as a GM or owner. If you have an elite QB, ride that guy till he retires, if not, then you have to come up with a plan to put the best field on the team. In regard towards the picks, If the QB you want to trade isn’t good, you’re not going to get much. Darnold hasn’t shown he can play, wentz got traded the first time for a 2nd and a third. Cleveland in their ineptitude blundered the whole Mayfield situation. should have traded Mayfield earlier before Watson (or at same time). Cleveland has no leverage now.
  3. I kinda see your point here, but before Beane, I never thought the Bills were ran well. We kept taking RBs in the first round… took a texas lineman ( they all are weak). For this to work, you would need to focus on having a great defense and a offense to compliment it.
  4. I agree with you. This would have to be a decision from the owner on down agreeing to this type to team building. And if/when you get a guy like Allen fall in your lap, it would take agreement from all 3 (owner, GM, and coach) to keep that QB and transition to a more ‘normal’ team configuration.
  5. With the rise of the MEGA QB contact, unless the QB is ELITE, IMO it is not worth it to pay the QB. I would love to see a team treat the QB role like teams do right now for the RB role. Keep drafting QBs and play the best one that you have. Once they get close to the QB getting to his 5th year, trade him for a boat load of picks. Spend that 40+ million on making the rest of the offense and defense strong.
  6. Lockett is great! He would be a great pickup for the right price. No more than a 4th though. Too many good players in this draft to give up a 1-3rd for him.
  7. If the Giants new GM and Daboll are smart, they will jettison all the crap (high cap numbers) from the team, suck up this coming year, and start building a successful well fun franchise.
  8. Anyone know why he wasn't utilized in Arizona? Was their QB not good enough to get it to him? Does he have stonehands?
  9. The main area of concern is the offensive line and strengthening that position: to protect Josh when passing better and running the football better. Beane is gonna have to make some critical decisions about the line about who is salvageable and where to play them. I think we have RT figured out for sure, other than that, the line has been pretty suspect this year. I would have no problems with our first 2 picks in the draft being OL. Bring in youth to fill those spots.
  10. Which RB will do the best today? I'm thinking Brieda might be able to get some nice runs on the outside and get some catches out of the backfield.
  11. First off, let’s just say there are so many variables in this process that we might not draft a CB or G at all if we sign enough FA’s to fill the void. Also, we really need to see how the rest of the season goes, specifically Dane Jackson. If our DBs can relatively hold up w/o White, then maybe a top flight DB will not be needed. Also, McD is a defensive minded coach. His defenses play alot of zone, which will protect your DBs. So I bet McD can squeeze more potential out of lower round DB’s than other coaches. Finally, we (mostly) all applaud Beane’s dumpster fire player pickups to finding those low cost diamonds because we all recognize that we cannot have All Pro’s at every position in a salary cap league. It turns out this year our low cost Guards are being exposed and Ford isn’t panning out. Let’s pray every night Spencer Brown stays healthy the rest of the year. With that all said, not taking the value of positions into account, we really need a big fatty DT and more OLine help in the draft. We also need to draft a CB and RB (which we should do every year IMO) somewhere in the draft. I think we can get good WR’s and a blocking TE in FA. I think the offensive skill players recognize that playing with Josh Allen will help their career stats and have a legit shot at the Super Bowl every year. We need to protect our most valuable asset, Josh Allen. When he gets a ‘solid’ OLine in front of him (like how our OLine played last year), the sky is the limit for this offense. So, we need Big Fatty DT, OLine (at least 2 in draft), CB, RB at a minimum. I’ll let Beane decide when to take them. Haha.
  12. You would NOT want garrett anywhere around the Bills. If you think we are too conservative now, garrett is 10 times worse and terrible playcalling. only good thing about garrett is he kept dallas mediocre for 10 years!! Haha
  13. 2021 Round 1 • Pick 30 (30) • DE Greg Rousseau Round 2 • Pick 29 (61) • DE Boogie Basham Round 3 • Pick 30 (93) • OT Spencer Brown Round 5 • Pick 17 (161) • OT Tommy Doyle Round 6 • Pick 19 (203) • WR Marquez Stevenson Round 6 • Pick 28 (212) • S Damar Hamlin Round 6 • Pick 29 (213) • CB Rachad Wildgoose Round 7 • Pick 8 (236) • G Jack Anderson 2020 Round 2 • Pick 22 (54) • DE A.J. Epenesa Round 3 • Pick 22 (86) • RB Zack Moss Round 4 • Pick 22 (128) • WR Gabriel Davis Round 5 • Pick 22 (167) • QB Jake Fromm Round 6 • Pick 9 (188) • K Tyler Bass Round 6 • Pick 28 (207) • WR Isaiah Hodgins Round 7 • Pick 25 (239) • CB Dane Jackson 2019 Round 1 • Pick 9 (9) • DT Ed Oliver Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) • G Cody Ford Round 3 • Pick 11 (74) • RB Devin Singletary Round 3 • Pick 33 (96) • TE Dawson Knox Round 5 • Pick 9 (147) • LB Vosean Joseph Round 6 • Pick 8 (181) • S Jaquan Johnson Round 7 • Pick 11 (225) • DE Darryl Johnson Round 7 • Pick 14 (228) • TE Tommy Sweeney 2018 1 Josh Allen 1 Trumaine Edmunds 3 Harrison Phillips 4 Taron Johnson 5 Siran Neal 5 Wyatt Teller 6 Ray Ray Mc Cloud 7 Austin Proehl After listing all these out, it looks like the dude can draft… but you can’t hit them all. Busts: 2019 Cody Ford. I wanted DK Metcalf in the first or second round when he was still there. Honorable Mention Bust: Oliver. I wanted Hockenson, but he was taken right before us.
  14. I’m sorry but 4-3, star, and Edmunds would not have changed that game… Did you see how that Oline physically DOMINATED our DLine? All game they controlled the LOS and pushed us backward, then throw in the runs of Taylor pushing the pile… man that was a beating. We have no answer for any team with a strong RB that has a great OLine in front of him. We needed to draft a big fatty DT in the last draft to anchor that line for teams like this one.
  15. Bruce hands down! The dude is the ultimate gamechanger.
  16. Like I said in another post, the only RB that would do well behind this OLine is Sanders, Barry Sanders.
  17. Until the Oline gets fixed we will continue to struggle run amd pass. the only RB that could run w this OLine is Sanders…. Barry Sanders.
  18. Thanks Doc for doing this. The 1 time I need the damn Cowboys to win…
  19. Week 9: Dallas over Denver This pick hurts.
  20. Dude is a head case. I think he just wanted to take a year off…
  21. Hahahahahahahahahaha.... The New York Giants got the WAY BEST end of this deal! hahahaha... OBJ to Bills...
  22. The Fins have 2 really good CBs. Cole drew CB #3 and burned him all day long. We need Cole.
