Chaos, Interesting analysis, but for your breakdown graphic, I do not understand why NYG, MIN, and DAL are not higher up in your graphic. I would assume one of the columns would show an easy linear breakdown of the field that was filtered on to make the list. Taking in all of your data, I've come up with a different conclusion on some things. While the RZ efficiency of the Bills offense is average, what is the real cause. Before that though, I'd like to point out 2 things: 1) Based on your data, I would assume that Buffalo is the #1 offense to score OUTSIDE of the Redzone? Is this true? Or at least close to the top in that stats bc the points have to come from somewhere. 2) Josh Allen's arm makes 75 yards out of a potential 110 yards available to him on every play (of course depending on where we are on the field). His arm strength makes every defense honor the WHOLE field. There are not that many QBs that can do that. Josh Allen also have the stats to prove he has zero problems throwing a bomb on a 3rd and 2 play. Josh Allen's propensity to go for the homerun ball has opened up the field for the team to move down the field to the opponents 25 yard line easier than other teams. Now, once we are in the RZ things change, why? IMO, it is because the Bills do not have a good enough RUNNING game to complement JAllen's throwing ability. Look at the teams at the top in points per RZ drive, in order (top 10), DAL PHIL KC TEN NYG DET MIN CIN CAR LAR... You can make a case that 8-9 out of 10 have good running games. The Bills do NOT. Unless we improve our running attack in the RZ (which I hope we do with 12 personnel (2 TE's, did I say that right. ) ), the Bills will continue to struggle in the RZ. The Bills need to start taking some of the burden off of JAllen. He needs an adequate running game and that will improve the RZ immensely.

Virgil, I would also include TE's for the 1st Round. The right TE could help out in both the passing and running game and produce mismatches for our offense. I really like Kincaid myself. My logic. Unless some freak Defensive person drops thru like a true pass rusher or CB I would pass on them in the first. Bijan is the only RB I'd look at in the 1st Round and if he's available take him. After that, the BPA at WR, TE, or OLine or Trade down. 2nd Round: BPA of WR/Oline/TE/LB If we take 2 WRs or Oline in the first 2 rounds I would be ok with that. Josh needs weapons and protection. I'm willing to weaken the defense to protect Josh Allen.

Well, the draft pick value chart says to get a roughly equal value would be with Atlanta for #44 and 75. So anything above #44 that for a 2nd and 3rd swap, Buffalo would be making out well with that trade. Around that area, best Guard, WR, LB or Safety. I think there is alot of good potential WRs and Oline in this draft. Let's get 2. Those 2 positions I wouldn't mind doubling up on.

Brady could read defenses and get his team into the right play to take advantage. He didn't have a problem dumping the ball for a 5 yard gain... Belicheat can coach a defense REALLY WELL!

Gunner, thanks for all the hard work on this mock. I love reading your posts. As for the first round, too bad Bijan didn't fall farther. I NEVER want a RB in the 1st, but this guy is an exception if he could fall to us. I would rather see Buffalo draft Dalton Kincaid, Tight End, Utah. With Kincaid and Knox, I think we would start running more 2 WR/2TE/ 1RB sets. Also having 2 TEs on the field will help protect Josh and the run game at the same time. IMO, Kincaid is a beast.

If he was available at our pick I'd take Bijan Robinson in the first. The dude is legit. OR Jammal Williams would also be cool.

I always liked the idea of a subsidy of the QB position. Basically you could deduct lets say the first 15Mil of the QB position from the salary cap. So if you have 3 QBs on the roster and they are 40, 10, and 5 Mil cost (or 55Mil total), the cap hit would be 55-15 = 40 Mil. And if you are under the 15Mil cost, then you can use the excess on other positions.

I am firmly in the boat of having a group of RBs that you pick up in the mid rounds to share the RB position, BUT if this dude drops to 32 I think Buffalo should pick him up. He is a very good RB and would add a great dimension to our offense. A formation with Cook and Bijan in the backfield, Diggs, Gabe, and Knox... Whoa!

Hopkins is just an old cash register wanting to go "cha-ching" one more time. Would Arizona accept a sweet sweet bag of Cool Ranch Doritos for him? If not, I think I'd pass. Let someone else WAY overpay for him. Now, if they cut him and he comes in for a decent deal, then I would think about him.

I'd like a franchise to start implementing the QB position just like the RB position. Keep drafting a QB every year and see if they pan out. Have 2-3 QBs always competing for the job and see who rises to the top and then build a great offense and defense will all the extra money you save on cheap QB. If a Josh Allen (ELITE) comes along... You sign him long term and change your philosophy on the position for 15 years. Anything less than Elite, you trade them away and get the extra draft capital out of them to make the team better. A strong team with a "serviceable" QB can win in this league. Lamar, Kyler, Wilson (in current state), Carr, are not elite IMO.

IF we had a big battering ram and an offensive line that could get us 3-4 yards when the JETS are flooding ppl up to the line, then I'd say ok. BUT with our offense, we are at an advantage at that time to throw the ball. The LB's will be coming in and will leave gaps for players to run into. WE JUST HAVE TO CATCH THE DAMN BALL!!! Don't take the foot off the accelerator.
