  1. As someone who usually does not hear the real commentary team as broadcast in English live (watching from Europe), I thought that Nantz and Romo were just awful. The BBC showed the Super Bowl free to air but was obliged to cut any sponsored audio commentary and they cut out quite a bit. Also the half-time show was underwhelming. The performer I think has 1 well known hit and appears to be a synth voice musician who would not have had any kind of broad appeal. I'd speculate that a good amount of people watched the first half and then just stopped watching.
  2. From the list I think Brown, Butler and Jefferson stand out as the best candidates to cut – 4.1M Dead Cap with Savings of 21.2M for these 3 players. I would give the opportunity to Davis to become WR2 and see what Hodgins has got – can he become WR4? Potentially draft another WR as well, additionally bring back McKenzie. Brown is going to be 31 soon and coming off injuries and I just do not think he can handle a WR2 workload now. In 2019 he was really good. Butler seems to be a 3T like J. Phillips previously was. Ed Oliver is the starter and back him up with Zimmer. I am not sure what Jefferson’s natural or best position is and he is not a starter. I understand that you get flexibility with him but where should he align? At DE there is already Hughes, Addison, Epenesa and D. Johnson. At DT there is already Star, Oliver, H. Phillips and Zimmer. Cutting Jefferson saves Buffalo 5M by himself after factoring in the Dead Cap. I think Buffalo has to find long term answers at 1T given Star’s age and there is doubt as to whether H. Phillips can become a starter and a solid dependable 1T will help Oliver. Thinking of 2022 our DL could very well be Epenesa – H. Phillips – Oliver – D. Johnson given the ages of the veterans we currently have.
  3. Derek Watt was knocked out on Monday Night Football in December with a concussion against the Bengals and he returned in time for the following game against the Colts. I believe that Mahomes playing will benefit the Bills. If Henne starts the narrative changes and there is potential that we mentally feel under less pressure and sloppiness and penalties creep in, plus Kansas City would be in "let's do this for Patrick" mode raising their game. I wish that our wide receivers are all ready to play on Sunday as well. The two best teams are squaring off in the AFC. Should be a great game - I have faith in our players, coaches and fans. We can beat KC fair and square.
  4. I have not read all the comments here but just want to say that, watching in Germany, the commentator was Bjorn Werner the ex Colts DE. He said it is a fumble in real time - "das ist ein fumble - GAME OVER" the capitals he spoke in English . I just want to send good vibes to him because he called it without any bias to his former team. If only the NFL officials could be as sincere. I might be wrong and his co-commentator said it (they we not pictured on screen) but they both agreed it was a fumble after watching Pascal's knee and White's clear recovery. Haven't heard the commentary in English yet but I am exhausted and super happy that we won and now going to sleep. I was so crushed after Houston last year, this is my first Buffalo playoff win as a fan.
  5. Should Daboll be offered the Jets job and decide to take it he knows that he is in for a tough road ahead. Bills won 13 games this year, Miami 10 and the remaining team has BB who know doubt will be determined to show that this past losing season is a blip. In all probability the Jets will finish 4th in the AFCE next year. If I was him, I'd be patient and wait for the Chargers opening and relish the opportunity to work with an old friend and do battle with Reid and Mahomes - if not stay in Buffalo and continue the good work.
  6. I think that right now Duke is WR#5 after Diggs, Brown, Beasley and Davis. With Davis being above him purely on the draft capital spent plus upside. It wouldn't shock me if the Bills have 7 receivers active with Roberts as the #7. McKenzie, Hodgins, Foster, the others plus Duke more than likely will have an open contest for the two spots available. I am hoping the competition brings out the best in Duke, he is a fighter and fits the current team well alongside characters like Hughes, Josh and Feliciano. We are in a position now that we will be cutting or trading players we want on the team.
  7. My attempt QB Allen QB Fromm (R) HB Singletary HB Moss (R) WR Diggs WR Davis (R) WR Brown WR Williams WR Beasley WR Hodgins (R) TE Knox TE Kroft LT Dawkins LT Nsekhe LG Spain LG OC Morse OC Long RG Feliciano RG RT Ford RT Williams HB Jones K Bass (R) FB Gilliam (R) P Vedvik TE Sweeney LS Ferguson RS Roberts DE Hughes DE Addison DT Star DT Butler DT Oliver DT Phillips DE Jefferson DE Epenesa (R) OLB Klein OLB Thompson MLB Edmunds MLB Matakevich OLB Milano OLB Joseph CB White CB Gaines CB Norman CB Wallace FS Poyer FS J. Johnson SS Hyde SS Marlowe DE D. Johnson CB Neal CB T. Johnson CB Jackson (R) The above is a 53 man roster. If it is a 55 man squad then add OG Boehm and DE Murphy. I think Barkley has served his purpose and we can go forward with Fromm as the backup QB. Yeldon loses out to Taiwan Jones. McKenzie is supplanted by the two rookies. DiMarco isn’t a significant player can be replaced by Gilliam. Lee Smith is no longer needed. Replacement at both kicker and punter. Hauschka is getting old and doesn’t look the same post the Jets injury. Murphy is the odd man out on the defensive line I think, Ryan Bates is unlucky on the OL unless he is retained over Boehm. Ultimately my 53rd man choice was between Yeldon and Darryl Johnson. I also wanted to keep all 7 draft choices we made this year on the active roster.
  8. Anyone value Thaddeus Moss? Surely he can replace Lee Smith as the blocking TE? Thought he would have been chosen by round 4. Moss, Prince and Jonathan Garvin stand out to me. Also like Divinity Jr and Trey Adams. Penisini is a good pick by the Lions
  9. I will be in the minority on this one but I really hope Buffalo drafts one of Cole Kmet or Thaddeus Moss. Tight End is still a position of need. Dawson Knox was not reliable last year and yet managed to be TE1. I am optimistic about his future. Tyler Kroft was injured most of the year and most likely has one season left in Buffalo. Can he bounce back? Tommy Sweeney I like but he was mainly inactive. Lee Smith simply put, he is not worth a roster spot in 2020. Croom and Becker will not make the final roster. We have a top flight defense already. Wide receiver 4 and Tight End 2 will show their value or lack of in crunch situations, especially the postseason. Last year Duke was WR3 against Houston when he was mainly inactive, McBeane I don't think trust him as WR4 this year either. Round 2 - Laviska or Claypool Round 3 - Cole Kmet or Thaddeus Moss Round 4 - Zach Moss or A.J. Dillon Round 5 - DE/LB e.g. Derrek Tuszka or Michael Divinity Jr Round 6 - CB and S e.g. Madre Harper/Dane Jackson and Tanner Muse Round 7 - P or K - best available at 239 Looking forward to see what the Bills do!
  10. These are the players that interest me: Rounds 3 - 4 Thaddeus Moss TE LSU - the blocking tight end we need with a NFL bloodline and championship pedigree, no need then for penalty flag #85 Rounds 4 - 5 Jonathan Garvin DE Miami - if he is available in round 5 it'd be great value long term developmental prospect Rounds 5 - 6 Michael Warren II RB Cincinatti - a hard runner who seems undervalued, in case we miss out on someone more favored earlier Rounds 6 - 7 Danny Pinter OL Ball State - 4.91 40 at the combine, formerly a TE, he'd offer position flexibility and upside Round 7 - UDFA Cole McDonald QB Hawaii - 6 foot 4, decent arm, similarish to JA, at worst a camp body, with experience a future backup qb? Five others who may be of interest: Stanford Samuels III CB Florida State Casey Toohill LB Stanford Joseph Charlton P South Carolina James Lynch DT Baylor Isaiah Hodgins WR Oregon State
  11. In real life I'd wonder what Gettleman would do? Okudah? Simmons? OT? Trade back with a team that wants a QB. Or do something maverick and choose a WR
  12. Happy that Levi is doing his bit for the community, he is trying to make the world a better place in a true time of crisis. Some other more famous people just seem to have got it wrong - https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/mar/31/the-coronavirus-crisis-has-exposed-the-ugly-truth-about-celebrity-culture-and-capitalism
  13. Given the most recent additions I went RB - WR - Edge - K - P - TE - QB In reality I think CB and OL could replace the K/P/TE/QB come April but I'd take a chance on Keene and Tate with the last 2 picks we have. I used the predicted draft order versus player rankings.
  14. I would have thought that the marketing department would hope Diggs chooses a different number to 14 to have maximum sales. I think the numbers that are available right now are 11, 13, 19, 83 and 87 with 83 having reduced circulation and/or special permission needed to wear it. If 83 is available to Diggs I wouldn't mind seeing that number in use by a good player on gameday, not sure what others think.
  15. Mine is pretty unrealistic, as you can I see I have given priority to the height, weight and speed in the Al Davis method of thinking. I really would push out the boat and risk the first pick on Kmet, I think he will pair well with Knox. Wilson is a massive OT with potential who doesn't need to start right away. Claypool had a great combine and is the biggest receiver in the draft. Fotu will replace Star eventually and Dillon is the biggest back by far. Onwenu appears to have great weight and arm length. I like Jonathan Garvin, young with upside, McDermott and Frazier can mould him well. Muse is a big safety who could be a late round round steal. I'd like the 2020 Bills to be physically imposing, knocking the stuffing out of our opponents.
  16. I agree with DFT - Lamb to Arizona at pick 8 makes too much sense. If Buffalo really wants Lamb, imo they'd have to get to 7 (Carolina) and Carolina will be receiving a lot of calls from all the teams interested in Lamb. Would Rhule really entertain a trade back with, for example Simmons being there? They may be in a full rebuild but in our case a drop from 7 to 22 would be too steep I think. I think a trade up to 12/13/14 is much more feasible for a similar deal to what Pittsburgh gave up for Devin Bush. I think Lamb is a top 10 pick, the Jets would be tempted by Jeudy at 11 and we'd need to make a trade to land Ruggs within the next 3 picks (before Denver). Is Kmet a luxury pick at 22? Or slightly later with a small trade down? Is he the number 1 TE this year? I think he'd work well with Knox and we can run 2TE sets frequently. Just my attempt to think a bit outside the box.
  17. The problem for Higgins is that his decision and how he worded it adds fuel to the fire that he is 'soft' when this was already being mentioned by other posters and pundits. It raises questions it both his physical and mental preparation, especially in comparision to his peers. He could have done 2 or 3 of the exercises I am sure. Woe me, I had the national championship game to prepare for whilst other guys were preparing for the combine at home/gym, how unfortunate am I? This will be a red flag for him and it'll put further pressure for him to have a really good pro day or private workout. I give Shenault credit for giving it a go, attempting to run the 40 even though he may not have been 100%, shows his willingness to gut it out even though things may not go well.
  18. Using The Draft Network. I see Andrew Thomas and/or Mekhi Becton making it to number 22 in recent days. I think my first 3 choices will all go betwen picks 20 to 40 in real life, Aiyuk and Kmet are already trending upwards after the measurables at the combine. Swift and Kmet would give the Bills real offensive firepower in 2020, I wouldn't mind those two in lieu of a wide receiver since they are plentiful in comparison. I could not find a CB and instead went offense with Gandy-Golden and Dillion who I very much assume will not make it to round 6 in April. Any idea when the compensatory picks are announced?
  19. Since 2012 - 8 years - Seattle has always had a winning record and finshed 1st or 2nd in the NFC West, qualifying for the playoffs in 7 out those 8 years, only missing out in 2017 when they finished 9-7. They have won the NFC West 3 times in that span. We cannot compete with that culture of winnning at all, yet..... If Buffalo can win the AFC East in 2020 it will really show to other free agents that Buffalo is truly on the rise with a core of young, hungry players - White, Allen, Edmunds, Oliver, Knox and others. I am curious, for the 2020 season only, would you rather be in the shoes of Seattle or Buffalo? NFC West will be tough, 49ers and the Rams both are worthy opponents and Arizona has year 2 of the Kingsbury/Murray combination and I expect there to be progress. AFC East has a champion in NE with question marks at QB and he'll be 43, should he return, Miami is dangerous and rebuilding but very beatable, Jets are clueless so it seems and Buffalo, I hope, is ready to pounce and bring their home first AFC East title since 1995. Indianapolis has a more recent AFC East title (1999)! I really hope 2020 is our year. Thanks Mr Olsen, I hope BB and SM take note and motivate the team to win.
  20. Wide receivers in rounds 1 & 2. Running back in the 3rd. 3 defensive picks followed by 2 OL and a kicker.
  21. Given the way Jeremiah's mock draft has fallen, I think Javon Kinlaw would be the McBeane pick at 22. Kinlaw is long and has good length and can take over Trent Murphy's position and move inside on obvious passing downs alongside Oliver. I am a fan of Mekhi Becton. If he is somehow available at 22 I would strongly consider him, his anticipated draft slot seems to vary a lot. Our offensive line would be more physically imposing with him in it: Becton - Feliciano - Morse - Ford - Dawkins with Ty and the swing backup OT and Spain walking or retained as depth. Is Dawkins set in stone at LT? Can Becton play RT? Sort it out at training camp?! The coaches/front office are invested in Ford and I assume he'd start on the line somewhere.
  22. Immensely sad news to hear. I hope Pancho is remembered forever more in a manner deemed appropriate - whether that is a uniform patch, wall of fame, statue or jumbotron reminders, I don't know. Trust that ownership or marketing or fan outreach will determine what is best. At the very least a VIVA LOS BILLS chant at every home game, classy guy should be actively remembered.
  23. Smith is a physically bigger TE, at 6 foot 6 & 265lbs. All the others seem to be at maximum 6 foot 4 & 255lbs. Good to have multiple body types. Still surprised that Jake Fisher was cut so early. Extremely unlikely the practice squad OL will amount to much in the long run. I hope Sweeney makes the 53, 5 yard catches are important too and he like more NFL ready than Knox at this moment.
  24. I would like to ask, are there any places not in New York State that will receive all 16 Buffalo Bills games free to air? Thanks.
  25. I think Singletary should take a low digit number and change later in season, if I am not mistaken Ray-Ray McCloud did this last year. I like it when receivers wear numbers in the 80-89 range, even more reason to root for Duke Williams and his #82 jersey.
