  1. Given the replies, its seems to be wise to keep Brown at RT when he returns. Cody Ford looked somewhat improved in the last game at RG. Ike had one very good play at LG and difficulties throughout the game. Who is the best LG going forward? Assuming Dawkins-?-Morse-Williams-Brown are the best in their four positions. Feliciano/Ike/Ford? Is Ford RG only? Williams is RG/RT only, I think he won't be here next year given that he has ceded his primary position to a 3rd round rookie. In a way I wouldn't be shocked if the Bills try a Ford/Brown right side of the line at some point this year or if there are injuries.
  2. Here in Europe, I am glad that I got to see all 4 quarters on television this time round with a very late finishing time locally. Last week the coverage against the Colts was switched to Packers/Vikings after 3 quarters due to it being a blowout! Still areas of concern but happy for a thanksgiving win. Lets go Buffalo, lets attempt to win the AFC East for starters.
  3. Granderson appeared to have a very good game against Dawkins. The play where Dawkins grabbed the back of his jersey when totally beaten was embarrassing. Dawkins was playing against a backup instead of Davenport. Can only assume that Dawkins would have fared even worse against him. Having an out of form LT is troubling going forward. What are the negatives in giving Brown a shot at LT?
  4. There are two early games shown in Germany every Sunday. One is on television and also livestreamed, the other was livestream only. Colts @ Bills was the livestream and television game. Packers @ Vikings was livestream only. The game was such a blowout that at the end of the third quarter the tv game (Bills) was switched to the Packers/Vikings game and to be fair that game had a compelling and very watchable ending. This was my first live television game of the season (without streaming) and I only got to see 3 quarters! Bills need to rebound, come on Buffalo
  5. In my opinion, Duke was asked to do too much in the Houston play-off game - coming in after a cameo the week before and many weeks of being inactive and basically asked to become the in-game WR1 . Sure, he could have risen to the challenge and acquitted himself even better than he did. I think 90% of players faced with that same situation would not be able to elevate their play to the required level. The other key moments in the game often get overlooked in comparison to Duke's missed endzone catch - Knox's missed block on the Josh roll out to the right in OT and for me at least, John Brown and the missed sideline catch where he could not sort out his feet and he was our premier WR at the time. I wish Duke well for the future and thank him for his efforts. Buffalo has better wide receiver choices now!
  6. I think he should run the trials for the World Indoor Championship for the 60m sprint considering he got caught towards the end of the 100m. I know some sprinters attempt to get to the Olympics via Bobsleigh - I assume his extra mass compared to most sprinters might actually be a benefit in this sport? In any case he gave it his best and seemed to enjoy the experience and gave us something to talk about.
  7. I was somehow hoping for Tylan Wallace but Baltimore got him. Are the consensus positions of need CB, 1T and WR?
  8. PFN 30. Gregory Rousseau Edge Miami (FL) 66. Tyson Campbell CB Georgia ^ 108. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU * 124. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn ^ 148. Divine Deablo S Virginia Tech * 161. 9. Day 2 comes down to a choice between 1T and CB for our 2nd round pick imo, with an argument for an S like Nasirildeen. With the position not chosen earlier being selected in round 3. If Alim McNeil is available at 61, I'd be really excited if the Bills chose him. I would be alright with Tyler Shelvin as well. Our line for 2022, as starters, our DL could be Epenesa - McNeil - Oliver - Rousseau (all 1st or 2nd round picks from 2019/20/21). CB2 is certainly a position that needs attention. I like what I have read about Paulson Adebo. If the Front Office and coaches declare WR or TE or OC as a round 2 or 3 need that is fine with me as well. We just must ensure that we draft a circa 330lb 1T at some point this year!
  10. Alim McNeil DT for me as well. Hamsah Nasirildeen S could be a viable Big Nickel for the D.
  11. Smokescreen or not, I am interested in the cost of the trade up to number 22. On the PFN simulator, the Titans would not budge until offering up number 93 and the Bills 2022 2nd round pick. Managed to get a 3 for 3 in the end after numerous failed attempts. Is this a realistic trade? Loss of the 3rd round pick stung a bit! For fun, the draft ended up being: 22. Travis Etienne RB Clemson 61. Joe Tryon Edge Washington 126. Keith Taylor CB Washington 161. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 174. Nick Eubanks TE Michigan 213. Cornell Powell WR Clemson 236. Christian Uphoff S Illinois State
  12. Can somebody please explain this reference. I have seen this before and never understood who these people are. Many thanks from Europe.
  13. Is there any interest or opinion on CB Tre Brown? He reportedly ran a 4.40 in the 40 yard dash and can be a factor in the return game. In the simulators he seems to be picked between 160 and 180 before the fast 40 yard dash.
  14. Pro Football Network Mock Draft 61. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame 93. Payton Turner Edge Houston 95. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU (trade) 113. Tylan Wallace WR Oklahoma State (trade) 162. Benjamin St-Juste CB Minnesota 175. JaCoby Stevens S LSU 214. Paddy Fisher LB Northwestern 234. Drue Chrisman P Ohio State 2022 CAR 1st 2022 CAR 3rd Traded with Tampa Bay, they received pick 30 (Joseph Ossai) for picks 32 and 95 (Tyler Shelvin). Traded with Carolina, they received pick 32 (Mac Jones) for picks 113 (Tylan Wallace) and 2022 1st round pick and 2022 3rd round pick. Tylan Wallace was ranked in the seventies but fell to pick 113. As part of the simulation the site sometimes offer up to 3 trades, this is the first time I can recall being offered a first round pick and to boot, Carolina offering up this trade.
  15. Sal Maiorana's Rochester Democrat and Chronicle article of 2/9/2021 is dismissive I would say. More or less saying the draft class is Pitts and Freiermuth and that is it. He mentions Jordan and Hunter Long as "depth options". A good amount of draft simulators that I have tried have the Jaguars taking Freiermuth with the 1st pick of Round 2. I am interested in Long given he has the second best output in terms of catches and yards after Pitts. Article below also talks about free agent tight ends, as referred to above. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bills-could-use-an-upgrade-at-tight-end-here-are-their-options-in-draft-and-free-agency/ar-BB1dwA1G
  16. As someone who usually does not hear the real commentary team as broadcast in English live (watching from Europe), I thought that Nantz and Romo were just awful. The BBC showed the Super Bowl free to air but was obliged to cut any sponsored audio commentary and they cut out quite a bit. Also the half-time show was underwhelming. The performer I think has 1 well known hit and appears to be a synth voice musician who would not have had any kind of broad appeal. I'd speculate that a good amount of people watched the first half and then just stopped watching.
  17. From the list I think Brown, Butler and Jefferson stand out as the best candidates to cut – 4.1M Dead Cap with Savings of 21.2M for these 3 players. I would give the opportunity to Davis to become WR2 and see what Hodgins has got – can he become WR4? Potentially draft another WR as well, additionally bring back McKenzie. Brown is going to be 31 soon and coming off injuries and I just do not think he can handle a WR2 workload now. In 2019 he was really good. Butler seems to be a 3T like J. Phillips previously was. Ed Oliver is the starter and back him up with Zimmer. I am not sure what Jefferson’s natural or best position is and he is not a starter. I understand that you get flexibility with him but where should he align? At DE there is already Hughes, Addison, Epenesa and D. Johnson. At DT there is already Star, Oliver, H. Phillips and Zimmer. Cutting Jefferson saves Buffalo 5M by himself after factoring in the Dead Cap. I think Buffalo has to find long term answers at 1T given Star’s age and there is doubt as to whether H. Phillips can become a starter and a solid dependable 1T will help Oliver. Thinking of 2022 our DL could very well be Epenesa – H. Phillips – Oliver – D. Johnson given the ages of the veterans we currently have.
  18. Derek Watt was knocked out on Monday Night Football in December with a concussion against the Bengals and he returned in time for the following game against the Colts. I believe that Mahomes playing will benefit the Bills. If Henne starts the narrative changes and there is potential that we mentally feel under less pressure and sloppiness and penalties creep in, plus Kansas City would be in "let's do this for Patrick" mode raising their game. I wish that our wide receivers are all ready to play on Sunday as well. The two best teams are squaring off in the AFC. Should be a great game - I have faith in our players, coaches and fans. We can beat KC fair and square.
  19. I have not read all the comments here but just want to say that, watching in Germany, the commentator was Bjorn Werner the ex Colts DE. He said it is a fumble in real time - "das ist ein fumble - GAME OVER" the capitals he spoke in English . I just want to send good vibes to him because he called it without any bias to his former team. If only the NFL officials could be as sincere. I might be wrong and his co-commentator said it (they we not pictured on screen) but they both agreed it was a fumble after watching Pascal's knee and White's clear recovery. Haven't heard the commentary in English yet but I am exhausted and super happy that we won and now going to sleep. I was so crushed after Houston last year, this is my first Buffalo playoff win as a fan.
  20. Should Daboll be offered the Jets job and decide to take it he knows that he is in for a tough road ahead. Bills won 13 games this year, Miami 10 and the remaining team has BB who know doubt will be determined to show that this past losing season is a blip. In all probability the Jets will finish 4th in the AFCE next year. If I was him, I'd be patient and wait for the Chargers opening and relish the opportunity to work with an old friend and do battle with Reid and Mahomes - if not stay in Buffalo and continue the good work.
  21. I think that right now Duke is WR#5 after Diggs, Brown, Beasley and Davis. With Davis being above him purely on the draft capital spent plus upside. It wouldn't shock me if the Bills have 7 receivers active with Roberts as the #7. McKenzie, Hodgins, Foster, the others plus Duke more than likely will have an open contest for the two spots available. I am hoping the competition brings out the best in Duke, he is a fighter and fits the current team well alongside characters like Hughes, Josh and Feliciano. We are in a position now that we will be cutting or trading players we want on the team.
  22. My attempt QB Allen QB Fromm (R) HB Singletary HB Moss (R) WR Diggs WR Davis (R) WR Brown WR Williams WR Beasley WR Hodgins (R) TE Knox TE Kroft LT Dawkins LT Nsekhe LG Spain LG OC Morse OC Long RG Feliciano RG RT Ford RT Williams HB Jones K Bass (R) FB Gilliam (R) P Vedvik TE Sweeney LS Ferguson RS Roberts DE Hughes DE Addison DT Star DT Butler DT Oliver DT Phillips DE Jefferson DE Epenesa (R) OLB Klein OLB Thompson MLB Edmunds MLB Matakevich OLB Milano OLB Joseph CB White CB Gaines CB Norman CB Wallace FS Poyer FS J. Johnson SS Hyde SS Marlowe DE D. Johnson CB Neal CB T. Johnson CB Jackson (R) The above is a 53 man roster. If it is a 55 man squad then add OG Boehm and DE Murphy. I think Barkley has served his purpose and we can go forward with Fromm as the backup QB. Yeldon loses out to Taiwan Jones. McKenzie is supplanted by the two rookies. DiMarco isn’t a significant player can be replaced by Gilliam. Lee Smith is no longer needed. Replacement at both kicker and punter. Hauschka is getting old and doesn’t look the same post the Jets injury. Murphy is the odd man out on the defensive line I think, Ryan Bates is unlucky on the OL unless he is retained over Boehm. Ultimately my 53rd man choice was between Yeldon and Darryl Johnson. I also wanted to keep all 7 draft choices we made this year on the active roster.
  23. Anyone value Thaddeus Moss? Surely he can replace Lee Smith as the blocking TE? Thought he would have been chosen by round 4. Moss, Prince and Jonathan Garvin stand out to me. Also like Divinity Jr and Trey Adams. Penisini is a good pick by the Lions
  24. I will be in the minority on this one but I really hope Buffalo drafts one of Cole Kmet or Thaddeus Moss. Tight End is still a position of need. Dawson Knox was not reliable last year and yet managed to be TE1. I am optimistic about his future. Tyler Kroft was injured most of the year and most likely has one season left in Buffalo. Can he bounce back? Tommy Sweeney I like but he was mainly inactive. Lee Smith simply put, he is not worth a roster spot in 2020. Croom and Becker will not make the final roster. We have a top flight defense already. Wide receiver 4 and Tight End 2 will show their value or lack of in crunch situations, especially the postseason. Last year Duke was WR3 against Houston when he was mainly inactive, McBeane I don't think trust him as WR4 this year either. Round 2 - Laviska or Claypool Round 3 - Cole Kmet or Thaddeus Moss Round 4 - Zach Moss or A.J. Dillon Round 5 - DE/LB e.g. Derrek Tuszka or Michael Divinity Jr Round 6 - CB and S e.g. Madre Harper/Dane Jackson and Tanner Muse Round 7 - P or K - best available at 239 Looking forward to see what the Bills do!
  25. These are the players that interest me: Rounds 3 - 4 Thaddeus Moss TE LSU - the blocking tight end we need with a NFL bloodline and championship pedigree, no need then for penalty flag #85 Rounds 4 - 5 Jonathan Garvin DE Miami - if he is available in round 5 it'd be great value long term developmental prospect Rounds 5 - 6 Michael Warren II RB Cincinatti - a hard runner who seems undervalued, in case we miss out on someone more favored earlier Rounds 6 - 7 Danny Pinter OL Ball State - 4.91 40 at the combine, formerly a TE, he'd offer position flexibility and upside Round 7 - UDFA Cole McDonald QB Hawaii - 6 foot 4, decent arm, similarish to JA, at worst a camp body, with experience a future backup qb? Five others who may be of interest: Stanford Samuels III CB Florida State Casey Toohill LB Stanford Joseph Charlton P South Carolina James Lynch DT Baylor Isaiah Hodgins WR Oregon State
