I know that we have drafted these two and their weights but our starting combination of Oliver and Jones at 287lbs & 320lbs just appear undersized, at least visually, compared to some other NFL DL, you look at those players and think "wow, this guy is massive" and they appear stout and diffcult to move in the trenches.

Therefore, it appears that Lamb and Pickens were benched for disciplinary reasons. Dallas didn't reveal the news before the game, so Lamb and Pickens' absence were a surprise to most people."

It would be so good to be 12-3 after the game at Cleveland and then to have the final two games at home to conclude the regular season. I am sure that most fans would have been happy at 12-3, in the midst of a 6 game win streak at the conclusion of week 16, with the potential of a 14 win season! Christmas and New year celebrations and anticipation would be awesome and we would be a confident and hot team peaking at the right time. Go Bills.

The AFC recently has been a guaranteed one-team show, that team getting to the AFCCG seven years in a row. Recent history this decade shows that only three other teams have made it as far as the AFCCG - Baltimore, Buffalo and Cincinnatti. Shocker it is the quarterbacks, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow and Allen. Are there going to be two upstart teams contesting the AFCCG, one newcomer and an established team, or will it be the old foes battling it out again? Of the established teams we are in the strongest position, in terms of wins, despite where we should be and what could have been. Cincinatti, virtually no chance at the playoffs, a rusty Burrow may not return this year, their D is really bad. Baltimore, Lamar currently looks hurt, Henry isn't playing at an All-Pro level but given their division (and the health of Rodgers), should make the playoffs. Kansas City, they need to keep winning and have some other results go their way. They might have to empty the tank/playbook to reach the playoffs this year. Buffalo, positive tiebreakers against KC and Baltimore with NE being a huge obstacle to the Division (bur still achievable). Just concentrating on the AFC side, in terms of offensive playmakers, I'd take Josh Allen and James Cook over anyone. The best non-Josh quarterback in the AFC playoffs this year might be Drake Maye (assuming Lamar and Mahomes miss out). Daniel Jones versus Spags next week will be interesting. The ascending teams have chosen a good year to show their hands and fair play to them if any combination of Indianapolis, NE and Denver get to the AFCCG. It'd absolutely suck it they make it and we do note. The Chargers, Jaguars and Texans are established fringe contenders to me but I don't think they will make any noise should they be in the playoffs. Our D stinks at present, the only thing I think that can make it better is for them to be causing and recovering fumbles like last year and stopping giving up so many third down and long conversions. My November 18 gut feeling is that the last two teams standing are Baltimore and Buffalo. Both Josh and Lamar need to get to a Super Bowl badly and I believe one of them will this year and I 100% want it to be Josh and the Buffalo Bills.

I haven't read through all the replies but I would have Coleman active and be WR6 as Shakir's slot only backup, at least outside of the redzone. Davis Palmer Shakir Shavers Hardman Coleman as my active WR choices when all are healthy. Even Kaiir Elam had 3 full years here and he was much worse than Coleman, granted without the disciplinary issues. I am probably in the minority on this but Hardman, Shakir and Samuel are on the injury list and Palmer is just coming back and Gabe is on the PS. We will need Coleman in some capacity this year I believe.

Shavers I think has now become the 3rd most important WR on the roster after Shakir and Palmer and will be on the 53 without a doubt for the rest of the year. Before yesterday he was seemingly clustered with Samuel and Moore and potentially looking over his shoulder but his ST abilities plus a WR1 type stat line secures his status. I look forward to see what he can do against the Texans and the rest of the year.

I think that if there is a mathematical chance of KC getting into the playoffs in week 18, they will make it. If they are going to be eliminated it will have to happen in week 17 at the latest. Outside of the AFC North I think there is a chance that every playoff team will have 11 wins at minimum.

There is a time for the dink and dunk ball control offense and there is a time to let it rip and we should look to do both in the same game unless you have a weather related wind/snow/rain game. It was so good to see 25 yards plus passes yesterday.

It just looks like the Joe Flacco trade is huge for the entire AFC conference. Cleveland should have won yesterday. We just got to roll with the punches and get into the playoffs, whether we are the 1 or the 7. We are in a much better position than some of our biggest foes. At some point in the McBeane/JA era the Bills will have to get a playoff road victory, possibly multiple road victories, whenver that is, the location and opponent doesn't matter, just get the W and advance.

We, seemingly by design, want undersized penetrating DT's and mobile coverage linebackers. The opposing offense then looks to keep running the ball because we are undersized and therefore have difficulty stoppin the run. Then those two undersized groups are always the ones that are the most injured and also the area where we have no adequate level backups. Our DT rotation is just plain pitfiul - rookies, PS, PED and last legs DQ. At the next level, 8 and 58 just don't pass the eye test. We are forever going to be drafting 215lb linebackers & 285lb defensive tackles, the numbers on the field will be different but the results will be the same. I'd be interested to try a 3-4 alignment with Rousseau Walker and Bosa with Fox Thompson Williams and Solomon behind, it may not work but status quo will not either, especially in the postseason.

Very glad with the W. Egbuka had a quiet game, which I wasn't expecting. it was huge keeping TB to a FG after the chest pass interception. Shavers, Palmer and Davis all had crucial catches during the game. Onto Houston, let's go Buffalo.

I have not seen this video posted on here, Stevie unpacks quite a lot from his perspective on the O in general. Playcalling needs to suit the receivers, player relationships have to elevate and the way I interpret it, if the called play sucks call your own variant of the same play. Interesting to see what others think.

Ray Davis is averaging 1.8 yards per carry this year from 24 attempts (44 yards) - he has barely contributed anything outside of his receiving TD at Atlanta. Do something positive on Sunday Ray, the team needs you. I think it will be two practice squad elevations on D this week, Morgan Fox and a DB. Having Codrington active is a real option, he also needs a big game if he plays.

It sure would be nice to have a competent CB4/WR4/RB2 to be a KR/PR with the actual threat to have a long kick or punt return and fill his role on O or D. At no point this year did I feel optimistic that our kick or punt returner would have a clutch return to help shift momentum and good field position. Codrington was fortunate to make the 53 and stay on it given that I think he has only played 4 games. Should we make the playoffs, our return game has to be better and at least feel like a threat as opposed to just going through the motions, especially on punt returns.

We 100% need a PR this week who is not Shakir, given his injury status, be it Hardman or Codrington with Hardman much more able to be a WR4 compared to Codrington being a CB4.

It will be interesting to see the roster movements for this game. I personally want to see Davis, Hardman and Morgan Fox play against Tampa Bay but then we would have 8 wide receivers which creates a roster imbalance and for this to happen one of those three (at minimum) would have to be on the 53. Coleman Palmer Shakir Davis Hardman and a choice of Moore/Samuel/Shavers for the final WR spot - I would choose Moore myself. Samuel has been a bad investment and won't be here next year, Shavers should be able to go back to the PS if needed as a number crunch scenario but if blocking and ST is the priority he will be safe. Buffalo cannot have Shakir being a PR any further this season. Hardman has got to take over the KR/PR role in my opinion because we aren't good in that area at all. Longest non-Codrington KR is 32 yards and the for PR it is 11 yards - we have to do better, we can seemingly never make the first tackler miss on returns! Interesting to see how it all plays out this Sunday.

Diggs I think lost faith in McDermott and the coaching here in general and that was an accelerant to get the fire going in order to essentially force Beane's hand. Ironically the main nemesis for McD has been the playoffs and Stefon didn't excel in that same area when he was a Buffalo Bill. Having said that we'd sure welcome a WR who can achieve 100 receptions a year who can actually not faceplant in the playfoffs but elevate even further.

I was thinking out loud as to whether the D was healthy enough to allow for 2 WR call ups, assuming Sanders does take Landon Jackson's spot on the 53.

So is it realistic that both Davis and Hardman could be the PS elevations against Tampa Bay? That would be 8 WR out of the 55 that are eligible to play this coming Sunday. Then one would presume that 2 of the existing 6 WR would be inactive and then guessing the two most logicial candidates would be Samuel and Coleman? Davis - Palmer - Shakir - Moore - Shavers - Hardman as the active 6?

The worst player who is active every week is probably Ray Davis, presumably not enough snaps to claim Milano's spot at the bottom.

I didn't know that two players could share a number in the same season and both still be on the same roster, since Hardman is now number 16. Looks like Johnston cannot come back at all this year because his number has been reallocated (as per your new roster moves post).

At eleven seconds, Samuel is open with only one man to beat and there is an 8 yard cushion, Samuel is on the 42 and the Dolphins safety is at the 50 and that could have been a 20 yard gain at minimum with a bullet from Josh and then Samuel is then doubled only after Josh begins to scramble to the right. I think there 3 receivers that could have been targeted on this play. Having looked at this play several times, it just shows you how long a second can be in the NFL, at one point also at eleven seconds, Samuel is at the 38, Josh is set, the pocket appears clean and an in stride reception could be a touchdown if Samuel wins the foot race because defensive attention is not directly at Samuel and he is only receiver running free with his body going towards the end zone. I might be wrong but it is what I think on this play!

If I could teleport myself into the voice, mind, body and soul of Terry Pegula during a Bills meeting this week for 15 seconds, I would say to Beane and McDermott, "if the New England Patriots are the AFC champions this year, you both shall be receiving your pink slip on Monday 26 January 2026, am I understood gentlemen?". If New England get to the Super Bowl this year it shows how flawed our processes have been, stalling and treading water at best. Arguments can be made that we already need a fresh start, for me if NE are AFC champions this year that seals the deal. How can year 10 of McDermott be feasible? Last place schedule, fluke season, whatever, even if they are 5-12 next year somehow, NE would have achieved more in ONE season than we have done in 8 years. It is disgusting to be even contemplating thoughts like this, yet here we are. The season is not over and we are still in it, we can lose any given Sunday but the way we lost at Miami was unbearable to see, we cannot be that flat against Tampa.
