  1. The Bengals really wanted to show the prime time audience who they are. Building up to the game you see the words by Mixon, they seemed to feel disrespected as being team #3 in the AFC mix despite being the reigning AFC Champs. It was a very physical game - Taron injury and evaluation, Josh being rolled up on and then obviously Damar's serious injury. As a fan I am very glad McDermott is our coach, as a human and leader. Remember the Dolphins coaches lip service thoughts on Tua? My thoughts are that we can't fully evaluate this game with less that 10 minutes played in the first quarter - I just wish the Buffalo Bills players and staff are allowed to recover and process what happened as necessary and I am a very proud fan of the Buffalo Bills.
  2. In a time of true crisis it appears that Zac Taylor and the Bengals organization in general were absolutely an ally of the Buffalo Bills. I was watching CNN International from the UK and seeing the Cincinnati fans show up to support Hamlin outside the hospital and then seeing online that the Bengals captains visited the Bills locker room. Both teams really wanted this game, so upsetting that Hamlin sustained such a serious injury.
  3. Best wishes to Damar and all associated with the Buffalo Bills - get well soon. I just want to ask how did the WGR/Buffalo Bills Radio Network manage the unprecedented situation last night? Did they offer rolling updates through the night? Once the game was officially postponed, in the UK, we didn't see the Ryan Clark -SVP studio analysis but we did see Booger and his other two colleagues for a while (before the announcement). I think certain players and coaches will need counselling/mental health support after witnessing the events last night literally first hand.
  4. Firstly, all the very best to Damar Hamlin, get well soon, every Buffalo fan is with you at this time. I just want to give my best wishes to the Buffalo Bills organization, including friends and families of the team and all Bills fans the world over. I also want to give credit to Kirsten Watson, Gregg Rosenthal and MJD as well. It must have been so difficult for them to broadcast as long as they did on Channel 5 in the UK (and parts of Europe). There was someone even watching from Brazil! Like i said previously it this thread, the show is advert free and they were on screen a lot. The show is a bit wacky at times but you could see their facial expressions change and their off screen looking at other cameras that must have been so difficult to endure. To give an example MJD last night asked if Kirsten would date a guy dressed like Jamarr Chase did pregame (she gave a professional diplomatic reply) to news breaking of the ambulance and CPR being given within ninety minutes of the broadcast starting. Channel 5 then cut way from the game quicker than Sky did and a couple of travel documentaries before announcing the postponement. That will be the last MNF on Channel 5 this season irrespective of what happens with rescheduling (that is understandable). At 3.15 am in the morning, I was in complete shock. Given that the rest of the house was sleeping, all I could do was switch over to CNN International and follow TBD on an ancient android tablet. I was waiting for a press conference or formal announcement on screen but CNN didn't show that live. The TBD posters on the main injury thread did a great job, 99.9% of you! Went to sleep at 6am and woke up at 8am! Whatever the Buffalo Bills decide to do I will stand in line behind them. Forfeit the CIN game, play the CiN game, kneel down all game vs NE, withdraw from the postseason etc. Not being American, it just somehow seems that Cincinnati and Buffalo are somehow aligned. With the way the drought ended and how gracious and caring Cincinnati are in this current situation, should I ever visit the USA again Cincinnati will be on the schedule before or after Buffalo. All the best from Europe
  5. Red Zone actually is on Sky Sports Mix - this channel sometimes does not require a full Sky Sports subscription, therefore a lower monthly fee. This a huge game for the UK & Europe (those who can receive the Astra 28.2e satellite). Monday Night Football is broadcast free to air on Channel 5 in the UK, HD available. Buffalo at Cincinnati will be the last game broadcast this season on Channel 5. They don't show the one Monday Night Football playoff game free to air (only on Sky). We get Gregg Rosenthal and MJD as studio pundits. Marcas Grant has joined for two or three shows - I am not familiar with him. The show is broadcast without commercials live from Los Angeles I believe, they always want to show SoFi stadium shots during the broadcast. Kirsten Watson is the host. It appears that Rosenthal is a Patriots* fan and MJD doesn't seem very positive towards Buffalo. Rosenthal in last weeks show has already favoured the Bengals. MJD wasn't there last week. Assuming you already have a TV, everyone in the UK can watch this game for free (yes there is a TV licence fee in the UK - to fund the BBC). Ireland and Benelux countries can definitely watch too, same with northern France and western Germany. Elsewhere depends whether you have a big enough dish. There maybe cable/streaming options that I don't know about. I think this is the last year of a 3 year deal for MNF in the UK, free to air. I hope this gets renewed as we can get some free to air NFL for the 2023 season. Personally, I have been waiting 16 NFL weeks for this fixture. No extra payment or streaming needed. Bring home the W, Buffalo!
  6. I think the backup/reserve players will be critical to the outcome of the game - on both sides, especially on offense. The Bengals have a very capable #4 receiver in Trenton Irwin, who has made several noteworthy plays for them this season. Hayden Hurst is a former 1st round pick and can stretch the field. Samaje Perine held things together when Mixon was out and gives the Bengals a second option out of the backfield. I wonder whether we will elevate both Brown and Beasley for this game, I believe both have one game left before the end of the season. Going to need some contributions from Hines, Shakir, Morris and Gilliam. Bengals defensive players will actively try and strip the ball when in traffic - they have had two huge plays against Kelce and Stevenson - game winning plays. Looking forward to this game. LETS GO BUFFALO!
  7. Mike Evans. Appears to be a combination of a bully and a coward, example versus New Orleans earlier this season.
  8. I like the moving the spot of the kick-off back, especially for the opening kick off and the one to begin the 3rd quarter - just to encourage there to be some kind of genuine guaranteed football activity on that play, as opposed to it being a choreographed sprint with no action 80% of the time. Maybe adopt those suggestions just for 2 kick-off's a game. I am sure there are some games where neither team attempts a kick off return and just takes the guaranteed yardage. If the kick-off is in the field of play (and not through the end zone), a player should be enticed to catch it and take a knee. I hate the kick-off's where the returner barely attempts to even locate the ball and the "no return" hand gestures are given within a second. There is usually the most attention given to opening kick-off and most of the time there is no play apart from the kick bouncing out through the back of the end zone and then waiting another 3/4 minutes for the next play. Camera flashes and no action!

  10. Saying hello from Watford, England. Normally I'd be in Belgium, bonus being a earlier start by one hour. I have been to America for one day in 2012 when primarily visiting Toronto. From that one day I remember going to the Outlet Mall in Military Road, likewise Walden Galleria, driving through Grand island going to a Wendy's for the first time and spending a good amount of time at the Basilica in Lewiston. Plus saw Niagara Falls from the US side. I had no choice in where I went since my extended family Uncle was driving with shopaholics. I really laughed that at my first sight of America the first thing I saw was an Indian restaurant! I had vaguely followed the NFL previously, had heard about the Bills when very young in the early 1990's on TransWorld Sport. You only heard about the finals or champions then. Remember the Toronto Blue Jays and Nebraska Cornhuskers being prominent on that show. I suppose I really started following Buffalo closely in the 2015 season. Outside of last years AFC Championship game today is the biggest event in my support of the Bills. One day I desire to make it to Orchard Park and see Buffalo play live in person! Best wishes to every Buffalo Bills fan wherever they may be. Let's win tonight on the road and anticipate a home game next Sunday.
  11. Given the replies, its seems to be wise to keep Brown at RT when he returns. Cody Ford looked somewhat improved in the last game at RG. Ike had one very good play at LG and difficulties throughout the game. Who is the best LG going forward? Assuming Dawkins-?-Morse-Williams-Brown are the best in their four positions. Feliciano/Ike/Ford? Is Ford RG only? Williams is RG/RT only, I think he won't be here next year given that he has ceded his primary position to a 3rd round rookie. In a way I wouldn't be shocked if the Bills try a Ford/Brown right side of the line at some point this year or if there are injuries.
  12. Here in Europe, I am glad that I got to see all 4 quarters on television this time round with a very late finishing time locally. Last week the coverage against the Colts was switched to Packers/Vikings after 3 quarters due to it being a blowout! Still areas of concern but happy for a thanksgiving win. Lets go Buffalo, lets attempt to win the AFC East for starters.
  13. Granderson appeared to have a very good game against Dawkins. The play where Dawkins grabbed the back of his jersey when totally beaten was embarrassing. Dawkins was playing against a backup instead of Davenport. Can only assume that Dawkins would have fared even worse against him. Having an out of form LT is troubling going forward. What are the negatives in giving Brown a shot at LT?
  14. There are two early games shown in Germany every Sunday. One is on television and also livestreamed, the other was livestream only. Colts @ Bills was the livestream and television game. Packers @ Vikings was livestream only. The game was such a blowout that at the end of the third quarter the tv game (Bills) was switched to the Packers/Vikings game and to be fair that game had a compelling and very watchable ending. This was my first live television game of the season (without streaming) and I only got to see 3 quarters! Bills need to rebound, come on Buffalo
  15. In my opinion, Duke was asked to do too much in the Houston play-off game - coming in after a cameo the week before and many weeks of being inactive and basically asked to become the in-game WR1 . Sure, he could have risen to the challenge and acquitted himself even better than he did. I think 90% of players faced with that same situation would not be able to elevate their play to the required level. The other key moments in the game often get overlooked in comparison to Duke's missed endzone catch - Knox's missed block on the Josh roll out to the right in OT and for me at least, John Brown and the missed sideline catch where he could not sort out his feet and he was our premier WR at the time. I wish Duke well for the future and thank him for his efforts. Buffalo has better wide receiver choices now!
  16. I think he should run the trials for the World Indoor Championship for the 60m sprint considering he got caught towards the end of the 100m. I know some sprinters attempt to get to the Olympics via Bobsleigh - I assume his extra mass compared to most sprinters might actually be a benefit in this sport? In any case he gave it his best and seemed to enjoy the experience and gave us something to talk about.
  17. I was somehow hoping for Tylan Wallace but Baltimore got him. Are the consensus positions of need CB, 1T and WR?
  18. PFN 30. Gregory Rousseau Edge Miami (FL) 66. Tyson Campbell CB Georgia ^ 108. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU * 124. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn ^ 148. Divine Deablo S Virginia Tech * 161. 19. Day 2 comes down to a choice between 1T and CB for our 2nd round pick imo, with an argument for an S like Nasirildeen. With the position not chosen earlier being selected in round 3. If Alim McNeil is available at 61, I'd be really excited if the Bills chose him. I would be alright with Tyler Shelvin as well. Our line for 2022, as starters, our DL could be Epenesa - McNeil - Oliver - Rousseau (all 1st or 2nd round picks from 2019/20/21). CB2 is certainly a position that needs attention. I like what I have read about Paulson Adebo. If the Front Office and coaches declare WR or TE or OC as a round 2 or 3 need that is fine with me as well. We just must ensure that we draft a circa 330lb 1T at some point this year!
  20. Alim McNeil DT for me as well. Hamsah Nasirildeen S could be a viable Big Nickel for the D.
  21. Smokescreen or not, I am interested in the cost of the trade up to number 22. On the PFN simulator, the Titans would not budge until offering up number 93 and the Bills 2022 2nd round pick. Managed to get a 3 for 3 in the end after numerous failed attempts. Is this a realistic trade? Loss of the 3rd round pick stung a bit! For fun, the draft ended up being: 22. Travis Etienne RB Clemson 61. Joe Tryon Edge Washington 126. Keith Taylor CB Washington 161. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 174. Nick Eubanks TE Michigan 213. Cornell Powell WR Clemson 236. Christian Uphoff S Illinois State
  22. Can somebody please explain this reference. I have seen this before and never understood who these people are. Many thanks from Europe.
  23. Is there any interest or opinion on CB Tre Brown? He reportedly ran a 4.40 in the 40 yard dash and can be a factor in the return game. In the simulators he seems to be picked between 160 and 180 before the fast 40 yard dash.
  24. Pro Football Network Mock Draft 61. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame 93. Payton Turner Edge Houston 95. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU (trade) 113. Tylan Wallace WR Oklahoma State (trade) 162. Benjamin St-Juste CB Minnesota 175. JaCoby Stevens S LSU 214. Paddy Fisher LB Northwestern 234. Drue Chrisman P Ohio State 2022 CAR 1st 2022 CAR 3rd Traded with Tampa Bay, they received pick 30 (Joseph Ossai) for picks 32 and 95 (Tyler Shelvin). Traded with Carolina, they received pick 32 (Mac Jones) for picks 113 (Tylan Wallace) and 2022 1st round pick and 2022 3rd round pick. Tylan Wallace was ranked in the seventies but fell to pick 113. As part of the simulation the site sometimes offer up to 3 trades, this is the first time I can recall being offered a first round pick and to boot, Carolina offering up this trade.
  25. Sal Maiorana's Rochester Democrat and Chronicle article of 2/9/2021 is dismissive I would say. More or less saying the draft class is Pitts and Freiermuth and that is it. He mentions Jordan and Hunter Long as "depth options". A good amount of draft simulators that I have tried have the Jaguars taking Freiermuth with the 1st pick of Round 2. I am interested in Long given he has the second best output in terms of catches and yards after Pitts. Article below also talks about free agent tight ends, as referred to above. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bills-could-use-an-upgrade-at-tight-end-here-are-their-options-in-draft-and-free-agency/ar-BB1dwA1G
