  1. It would make sense to see what Davis has got this Sunday, an internal addition to the WR room against our biggest foe. After the game then we still have options to explore before the deadline. Shaheed offers a very intriguing two for one opportunity, speed WR plus KR/PR with Codrington being unable to offer anything as a DB.
  2. We obviously did find our guy but unfortunately assisted them in finding their guy as well, as is known. After Five Years, the Patrick Mahomes Trade Is Officially Resolved Why the Bills Are to Blame For Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs Dynasty Bills' NFL Draft trade decisions with Chiefs backfire in the worst way in AFCCG Doug Whaley remembers just how much his boss wanted Mahomes. (From https://www.golongtd.com/p/the-day-the-buffalo-bills-couldve preview) “He, without a doubt, would have given his firstborn for Mahomes,” Whaley says. “Not only was he looking at him, but he had all of his numbers guys running analytics. Watching every game. Every throw. So he was steadfastly, unequivocally all about Mahomes.” "Other" is the correct voting choice for me, April 27 2017 is the date that the NFL landscape changed, 8 years and 6 months later it still lingers on. We have got to inflict some playoff misery on the Mahomes/Reid Chiefs with Josh and then win the Super Bowl, it'll make us feel better when it happens.
  3. Some will say he is washed, some will say that Spags will elevate him to Pro Bowl level in 3 days!
  4. For me it is their longevity! Only Joe Burrow/Cincy has represented the AFC in the Super Bowl in the 2020's as opposed to KC. The last non Mahomes AFC quarterback to win is NE Tom Brady, the 2018 season! AFC active Super Bowl winning quarterbacks, Mahomes and 40 year old Joe Flacco! KC winning the AFCCG this year will just continue the pain felt across the AFC. Preferably they don't make that far this year but if they do the Buffalo Bills win and then win it all in Santa Clara this February.
  5. I assume if we sign one of these players they'd go to the practice squad? Zion Logue seems to be in some kind of limbo where all of his call ups are exhausted as PS member and has to be elevated to the 53 in order to play further in the regular season but from memory it resets for the playoffs?
  6. This in the first Buffalo Bills game of the season that will be on free to air television in the UK. In case you don't make it to the pub, any hotel/house should have this channel - 5Action. It is also on Sky Sports as well but that is a paid channel and this is probably what will be shown at the Fitzrovia Belle. Channel 5 also has Pittsburgh/Indy beforehand but remember to switch channels after the first game. Enjoy your time in London! 5Action https://www.wheresthematch.com/nfl-on-tv/ - (UK TV NFL Listings for next 2 weeks)
  7. I guess only time will tell, the literal things we need to do are win the AFC Championship game and win the Super Bowl but we have to get to those games in order to climb the mountain. We have plenty of scar tissue accumulated over the last 5 years, only the Chiefs are truly battle tested imo and our postseason games have mostly been close. The Chiefs also have a more difficult Divisional race this year, will that have an impact? I am trying to remain positive that we can still achieve the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl dream this year!
  8. The only AFC team with a proven pedigree are the Chiefs, next in line are the Bills and then it is the Bengals and the Ravens who are both lagging way behind this year. KC going to 7 straight AFC championship games is incredibly painful for the rest pf the AFC. Only 4 teams this decade having reached the AFCCG. I want the Bills to face someone else in the AFCCG this year so that someone else can represent the AFC this year and I 100% want it to be the Buffalo Bills. Whether we are the the Number 1 seed, the AFC East Champions or a Wild Card it doesn't matter to me, obviously who wouldn't want to be the #1 seed but that isn't the only route to the Super Bowl. Are the two new "upstart" teams for real? Indianapolis and NE. Can LAC and Denver keep the AFC West out the hands of KC? Only the true franchise quarterbacks have made it to the AFCCG this decade, (Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Jackson). We can moan about a lot of things but we still have a legitimate shot this year. Go Bills!
  9. It like as @KOKBILLS says he just is seemingly waits too long to get going and cannot easily make the first guy miss. This year our path to success will be via our OL/TE/RB units, even if a WR comes in we cannot be guaranteed that'll work given the playcalling and pass blocking. Gilliam did a great job lead blocking today.
  10. Take a bow, James Cook! Encouraging signs from the D today, no at the snap confusion, Thompson provided that veteran reassurance today. We can still win this way against mid tier opponents, passing game needs to take off for us to feel more confident. Winning with 185 yards passing isn't sustainable. We need a viable backup RB - Ray Davis more 1.8 yards a carry on 9 carries isn't the guy. Samuel had 0 targets and only 1 kicoff return. More than anything, we got the W today with a huge game awaiting us next week.
  11. 2x 1st Team All Pro, a true one team guy. Sad news. RIP Nick.
  12. Best wishes to all the posters who are attending the game today, there seems to a lot of Buffalo fans out there! I think we will again have a slow start, it will be close at half time and then we manage to hold off the Panthers and win by a score. Obviously I am wishing for something like a Panthers 17 Bills 38 scorecard at the end but any win will suffice. Lets go Buffalo!
  13. I think for this game the five core skill position players will be Hawes as TE 1, Anderson as TE2, Shakir, Coleman/Samuel and Cook. The 6 OL package returns. With all the cage rushes and blitzers coming we need to keep Allen upright and utilise Cook and Davis to run with a maximum of 4 guys actually running routes.
  14. Yes, the Doctor in the suit was humiliated on camera, Daboll says he has apologized to him but for me no apology could suffice for being shown up like that publicly.
  15. Mac Jones is now in higher esteem than Trevor Lawrence, I never saw that coming!
  16. It was a very shrewd signing by NE, he is worth the money as a WR4, special teams ace and his unique vibes. In addition to that he delivered when it mattered (KC playoffs TD) and he was injury free. He is the ideal counterbalance to the Diggs and his perceived drama as well. He also has a PR value which engages well with the casual NFL fan. His one year as a Buffalo Bill was really good (for the non stats obsessed fans) and we are missing him this year, he is a different kind of leader in the locker room.
  17. In terms of WR, we have one proven player in Shakir who is slot only. We have Coleman who is having his struggles this year. Behind those two, the only players that are healthy are Elijah Moore with no catches in the last two games and Shavers who has 51 receiving yards this season. Samuel is always never at full health as a Buffalo Bill and Palmer who unfortunately has a genuine injury. Kincaid is still dealing with an oblique, we are unsure whether he will be active and even if he is I am sure the injury he has will limit his play in some capacity. If the desire to limit Coleman is in place then our fully healthy skill position players against Carolina would align something like Shavers-Knox-Shakir-Moore-Cook with Hawes and Ray Davis being the primary backups. We are already short handed, I just can't see that Coleman being active yet sort of benched as being helpful, the next man seemingly never steps up.
  18. That is true, at least his best season was last season. Has a light come on and his game ascended or is it just a blip in a contract year as you say? I believe that Lamar is on the verge of returning, so it is true that it is unlikely he is available. I was just trying to propose someone who isn't Shaheed or Olave. The "problem" is that there are maybe only 6 teams as of now that have, in my opinion, no shot at winning their division. Dolphins and Jets, you would assume any trades are a non-starter. Raiders and Cardinals, Gannon is looking to hang on and Carroll is like 74 and I'd assume he thinks that they still have a shot - he looks physically great but does he conceded the season and rebuild? Leaving the Titans and the Saints, the teams with zero chance. Titans should try and keep some pieces around Ward and the Saints play well in patches whilst only having 1 win. We got to have the faith that Beane is trying to do something as we have only 4 healthy WR right now, Samuel is always banged up and is never in good health.
  19. Nobody is going to second guess Spags if he thinks the rookies are playable. I too agree, I would give the Carolina and KC games to the Poyer/Bishop combination as the starting safety duo and then evaluate, does Poyer still have gas in the tank? Did Bishop improve with Poyer? Etc - obviously Hancock is the future and Poyer was the break glass in case of emergency but here we are. Two weeks in a row their opposition's backup RB has scored with their first touch of the game. I suppose it is our D making them look better than they are. Davis comes in and stumbles forward for 2 yards ... but I am appreciative that he did catch a touchdown in the last game. Somehow Keon has got to be consistently unlocked to produce a sustained impact every game - again we are down to 4 healthy WR this week - we need him to do more than just blocking. Elevate Wilkerson? Clutching at straws in a way but surely we need 5 active on the roster especially if Kincaid is still not 100% yet.
  20. My left field thought is Rashod Bateman. I am unsure whether he is a plausable number one, the three things that I like the most is that he is 25, he has been extended by Baltimore (three years $36.75M) and the Ravens might considering trading him at 1 and 5. I haven't looked into the deeper mathematics of it all. An article by ESPN states; Bateman, 25, has gone from being an underachieving 2021 first-round pick to the best deep threat for the NFL's No. 1 offense in 2024. He was the only player in the NFL last season to average over 16 yards per reception and catch at least nine touchdown passes. Source: Ravens give WR Rashod Bateman 3-year, $36.75M extension A 40 yard dash time of 4.41.
  21. His point number 8 on Rapp is the key one for me. Got to try somebody else at his position. Honestly I feel he should inactive on game days now. The Hancock/Bishop combination might be too green for McDermott to contemplate but then you look at the Lions and 49ers just playing the young guys when no other choice presents itself, one would assume that it couldn't be any worse. Every DB we drafted in 2025 has been injured at some point. Fingers crossed for the health of Strong!
  22. At present he looks calm and composed and he is accurate. Their run game looked better today as well. Vrabel has high profile coaches around him with McDaniels and Marrone and it might be a KC scenario where they are quite happy to stay in their roles for a extended period of time. Got to embrace the new challenge ahead, the rematch will be very interesting in December.
  23. We are thankful that the Jets and Dolphins have horrendous owners and very average quarterbacks at present. Glenn is on the verge of a lame duck one and done season unless they give him a Dan Campbell type mulligan should he get to 3 or 4 wins. The ship is about to sink in Miami and we just keep shooting ourselves in the foot when we should be in clear water. McDermott seems to have no real lieutenants with him, to me it just seems so noticeable. Just over the weekend, amongst the games I watched on television or listened to on the radio, I see Sean Payton with Rizzi and Vance Joseph. Bowles with Wilkes. Reid with Spags and Nagy, Shanahan with Salah, even Morris with Ulbrich. Head coaches being surrounded by other head coaches, even if they were interim. That is just the tip of the iceberg, off the top of my head. Tabor qualifies but he’s the least noteworthy name stated in this list. Can an external voice come and open some eyes please?! It is needed in my opinion. People may not remember Leslie Frazier fondly but at least he was a very well respected coach with stature. Who do we really currently have, probably only Kromer? I feel that there is nobody that can look McDermott in the eye and because of that he just appears to be so secure and smug and not sweating at all it feels like. None of the extended guys who were extended this offseason on D look worth the money. The last guy, almost the afterthought, is delivering and barely used in the 4th quarter? Come on. Sometimes you got to sell your soul in effect to keep your job. Look at Tomlin – getting Rodgers and Metcalf and the Steelers look like a different team. Having typed all this, I wouldn’t want to fire McDermott right now. We have a winning record and to me firing him would be akin to waving the white flag for 2025. I still am wishing this to be our year, KC slumped to begin with but they are turning it around. We have got to do the same! Let’s go Buffalo.
  24. Against New Orleans their backup RB, Kendre Miller scored a running touchdown on his first touch of the game, breaking numerous tackles for 18 yards. This is just to highlight that a player can be subbed in and make an instant impact immediately. Miller seems to be trending upwards and it wouldn't surprise me if he is their starter next year. He is leading the league in "elusiveness", I didn't know that was a metric that existed lol. Saints Already Have Alvin Kamara Successor In New Orleans Kendre Miller tops NFL elusive rating
