  1. From the 2017 draft, 4 out of the 6 chosen are on the roster. (No Peterman or Vallejo) Tre White and Matt Milano, I am sure everyone is happy with. Question marks remain over Dawkins and Zay. Dawkins was drafted as a Guard if I recall correctly. Is he truly our franchise LT? If Beane decides to draft back to back OL in the 2019 draft with the 1st 2 picks (e.g. J. Williams and Risner), will he even start? Beasley appears to be an immediate upgrade over Zay in the slot, some people believe he won't make the final 53 man squad. We could start 2019 with only 3 of the 6 picks from the 2017 draft, irrespective of who was calling the shots. What I would like is the the buck to stop with Beane. Friendship or not the GM should be higher up the pecking order than the Head Coach.
  2. I think Gore is best used from the 1 yard line to the 25 yard line (when our offence is backed up) and in the red zone. McCoy as the primary back and somebody should be chosen on day 3 to be the high usage backup. As a bigger back I think Ozigbo from Nebraska is of interest. Happy with either of Henderson/Montgomery. Think that a tackle breaking, chain moving running back is what is needed.

  4. I have a feeling that Beane will go DT DE OT TE RB with the first five picks Oliver or Wilkins in the first (Easter prayers for Q. Williams to somehow become a Buffalo Bill ) Polite or Winovich or J. Ferguson or Z. Allen is the second Someone like Deiter or D. Edwards or T. Howard or in the third I hope they draft a kicker in round 6 or 7 - C. Tracy or M. Gay.
  5. Would drafting Ed Oliver in round 1, Dexter Lawrence in round 2 be met will approval by fans?! Lawrence has the weight, strength and wingspan that seems unmatched in this draft. Any mid-late round run stuffers to keep an eye on?
  6. Only reason to be slightly upset is that the Bills are the only team without a guaranteed prime-time game when the schedule is released. Maybe the week 16 game is rescheduled and that would be good news for Buffalo fans to play against New England on a national stage. It could be worse, apparently Tampa Bay go without a home game for 49 days, (their sole home game during this period is in London). Fingers crossed for Josh Allen and Tremaine Edwards to become true stars. Mitch Morse and Tre White to go All-Pro. If somehow Beane eschews the lines and is able to draft DK and TJ (say the Bengals trade up and give us a 2nd rounder) the intrigue around Buffalo will surely grow!

  8. Which prospects from the 2019 draft will end up as being very marketable? Thus bringing pressure on the schedulers to offer the Bills at least 1 prime-time game per year? As an starting point I think it those players could be Marquise Brown, Hockenson, Quinnen Williams, Kyler Murray and DK Metcalf. Maybe Darrell Henderson, Mecole Hardeman, Andy Isabella and Justice Hill. In an alternate universe if the Bills had landed Antonio Brown I am sure there would be at least 2 prime-time games.
  9. I have wanted him to be the Bills first round choice for 3 weeks or so now. He has had three solid years at Florida State and will only turn 21 next Tuesday (23 April). If Buffalo can manoeuvre a small trade down and net a further 2nd round pick, my ideal scenario would be Burns, Metcalf/Hockenson/Jacobs (have to get an offensive playmaker and sacrifice the extra 2nd round pick received) and then Irv Smith Jr (he could be available in the mid-lower second round and justify another small trade down). Fourth pick will then be a DT or assuming Jachai Polite is still sliding I'd choose him, he is a disruptor causing fumbles off the edge. I would be ok with Renell Wren or Khalen Saunders as a mid round DT choice. Burns and Polite would leave the Bills in a good position if Lawson, Hughes or Murphy are not retained/extended. I have confidence that Jordan Phillips will be motivated and will be a decent placeholder 3 technique.
  10. Glad that Seattle managed to secure Wilson. Pete Carroll is already the oldest coach in the league, I wonder whether he has another 5 years in him. Wilson is still young enough to head to New York after 5 years. Will Ciara still be in the music/entertainment business then?! Eli is happy with this news.
  11. I think the 2 players who are 'cultural fits' for the Bills are Jonah Williams and Christian Wilkins. These 2 players seem to offer the leadership and intangibles that Beane/McDermott want. I think they both offer value in the picks 12 to 21 range. Perhaps a small trade down from 9, get an additional 2nd rounder and trade back into the first. I assume Wilkins will be the first pick. Both are safe and steady picks but Jonah's best shot to start in my opinion is at RG where he can beat out Long. Potentially there is a 3 player LT competition in camp.
  12. I think the picks, assuming no trades, goes defensive players 1 to 4 and offensive players 5 to 8. Bosa-Williams-Allen-White-Murray-Taylor-Metcalf-Hockenson The bad news is that the three feasible offensive players we could take at 9 are gone with maybe Jonah Williams being the only realistic offensive choice remaining at 9. Good news for fans of Sweat, Oliver, Wilkins and Gary, they are available. Also there are Haskins and Lock, potential trade downs with both Denver/Cincinnati and others. I would be happy with a trade down to 10, 11 or 15 whilst being able to choose Hockenson. My fear is one of Giants/Jacksonville/Detroit takes him before pick 9. NFL.com has a huge gap between the number 1 at the TE (Hock) and RB position (Jacobs) and the rest of the draft class at TE and RB.

  14. I really like Brian Burns as the 1st pick, he has tremendous upside and he is who I'd pick . I am not sure whether he is a scheme fit but I don't think he is that far behind Bosa and Josh Allen. I could see McDermott coaching up Burns to be a pro bowl level player. I think in reality it is down to Ed Oliver, Jonah Williams or Jawaan Taylor at 9 or a small trade down and Christian Wilkins or Cody Ford.
  15. Sorry! Played at Pitt. Niagara Falls native. I would like the fullback position to be used more this season. If the fullback is not fully featured someone like McCants could be FB1, WR7, TE4, RB4 utility player as you say.
  16. Tyre McCants WR USF Alec Ingold FB Wisconsin Matt Gay K Utah Qadree Ollison RB Buffalo Brody Oliver WR Colorado School of Mines BJ Autry OG Jacksonville State If Buffalo retains 3 picks in rounds 6 and 7, I think these guys are worthy of consideration, haven't seen anyone mocked in round 6 or higher, some will be UDFA. Tyre McCants looks to be capable of being a versatile player, 5 feet 11 and 234 lbs, line him up in any offensive skill position. Ingold and Gay are worthwhile picks to compete with the existing veterans. I also like Wesco as a TE/FB hybrid from WVU but I think he will go in round 5.
  17. LT Dawkins LG Spain OC Morse RG Long RT ? Nsekhe looks to be ready to start now Left Tackle but because of his age he might only retain the swing tackle role he had in Washington, especially if Jawaan Taylor or Cody Ford are drafted in round 1. If the goal is to draft the biggest, meanest line then I think it should be Nsekhe-Spain-Morse-Feliciano-Ford and no Dawkins. I wonder if there will be a genuine camp battle for LT? From the film I have seen Nsekhe looked very impressive and Dawkins may not want to play Right Tackle and Buffalo already has plenty of Guards.
  18. I think the choice at 9 is one of Burns/Wilkins/Oliver/Hockenson/Dillard/White unless a Quinnen/Bosa/J.Allen somehow fall. I think Burns has immense upside and is my favoured pick at 9, I would like the 2nd pick to be Irv Smith TE. Then Buffalo has two young guys (compared to other draftees) to add to the existing young core.
  19. 9 Brian Burns Edge 40 Irv Smith Jr TE 74 Zach Allen Edge 112 Khalen Saunders DT 131 Bobby Evans OT 147 Blake Cashman LB 158 Travis Homer RB 181 Trevon Wesco FB 225 B.J. Autry OG 228 Brody Oliver WR
  20. There appears to be a scarcity of LT prospects this year. Someone who should exclusively play LT in the NFL. Andre Dillard, Greg Little and Yodny Cajuste are the only three players who appear to fit the description. With perhaps Bobby Evans and Tytus Howard as well. Are there any others?
  21. LT Dawkins LG Feliciano OC Morse RG Long RT Nsekhe – presumed line-up with no additions LT Nsekhe LG Rookie OC Morse RG Long RT Dawkins – rookie starts over Feliciano, either Jonah or Ford LT Nsekhe LG Dawkins OC Morse RG Long RT Rookie – RT easiest to fill via draft, Jawaan Taylor appears consensus RT1 LT Dillard LG Nsekhe OC Morse RG Long RT Dawkins – Dillard is the only certain LT in round 1 I think Long is certain to be RG, Morse 100% at Center, Dawkins and Nsekhe are tackles unless Dillard or a RT is drafted. For some reason I prefer the Rookie not to play next to Dawkins. Interesting camp battle Teller vs Feliciano. Pick 9 is probably too high for Dillard but I cannot see any other round 1 player as being a certain LT. Given the scarcity he should be considered. Is a David Edwards or a Kaleb McGary better than Feliciano? Risner could slip to us at 40, Lindstrom could as well. If Hockenson is rated so well as a blocker, he appears a legitimate choice, with one of Risner/Edwards/McGary in round 2.
  22. Also with The Draft Network (Predictive Board) 9 Quinnen Williams, IDL Alabama - Fell to 9 for me as well (must be a top 5 pick in April) 40 Noah Fant, TE Iowa - Fell to 40, best rated player at this pick by far using their board 74 Andy Isabella, WR UMass - Fast, solid production, well worth a round 3 pick I think 112 Anthony Nelson, EDGE Iowa - Lengthy long defensive end, good height/weight 131 Bobby Evans, OT Oklahoma - Overlooked, a solid pro in the making 147 Ben Burr-Kirven, LB Washington - Small but sheds blockers well, day 3 steal 158 Terronne Prescod, IOL NC State - Heavy and stout, will provide good competition 181 Hamp Cheevers, CB Boston College - Undersized with good college stats, no problem in round 6 225 James Williams, RB Washington State - Catches the ball extremely well, good weapon to have 228 Alec Ingold, RB Wisconsin - Willing and dependable blocker, either him or Wesco from WVU - time to make use of a fullback!
  23. Rounds 6 or 7, Trevon Wesco, West Virginia University. NCAA level he was a tight end, in the NFL I think he will be a really good fullback at 6 foot 3 and 265lbs. Worked out at the Senior Bowl at fullback. My long lasting memory of Super Bowl 53 was how impactful James Develin was as a blocker, he had a massive impact on the game. Wesco is worth a pick in the 2019 draft.
  24. 1 J. Allen 2 Q. Williams 3 N. Bosa 4 D. White 5 C. Wilkins 6 T. J. Hockenson 7 E. Oliver 8 G. Bradbury 9 J. Williams
