Wentz sucks. He has to wrap up that ball. Go Jags! Clear fumble
-
He was better and outplayed Trent Murphy but McD and Beane kept giving their high priced FA signing more playing time than Lawson.

Chiefs v Broncos (Eagles v Cowboys page 23)
Ethan in Cleveland replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
3rd and 9 you call a play to get the first fown or a few yards. Terrible. Out of the playoffs and you kick a FG down 7 with under 5 min to play???? Loser. Fire Fangio tonight!! -
Levi should be the priority. Taron already signed an extension. Zimmer tore his ACL in November. He was a marginal player before that. No one will sign him until training camp at the earliest. I thought Phillips was done as a Bill but wow has he taken advantage of Zimmer's injury and really shined. Hope they mutually agree this is a good spot for him. Hes an ideal backup NT. Hope they find a big body in the draft to play the 1 tech next to Oliver for several years. I would take Hughes on one more 1 yr deal and let Addison, Star, and Butler all go.

5 best NFL teams you’ve seen in your lifetime
Ethan in Cleveland replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've seen lots of great players live but sadly the only two teams people have mentioned that I have seen live is the 1990' era Bills and the 2013 Seahawks. I was at the NFC Championship game. I saw 1979 Steelers as well but that was probably not their greatest team. -
Re-thinking the hiring of color commentators
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
My beef with color analysis is they dumb it down for the average fan. I understand it's entertainment and not a class. But just a few times a game I would like to see them really dissect a play. I though Madden was great at this. He gave you all the excitement but he could describe line play and defensive fronts to us. -

He doesn't belong in HOF but I also think 25 percent or more of the guys they let in dont belong in the HOF. You can't write history of NFL without 72 Dolphins but you can without Griese as their QB. He only played 6 of the 17 games. -

Interesting way of looking at it. With 3 SB titles I think you have to give the 1990s to the Cowboys, with honorable mention to Elway and the Broncos. -

What about the 2000 Ravens defense? I think they were nearly as dominant though I feel like the Bears team was more physically imposing. Different eras of course -
7th is ridiculously low. I would take Allen over Burrow, Herbert, and Murray. He is no lower than top 4 and on any week he can outplay all of them. I'm a little disappointed in the interception totals but he has cleaned up the fumbles this year. If he stays calm and just takes what defense gives him, he is unstoppable.

Bill O’Brien interviewing for Jags HC
Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another white failed retread, why should anyone be shocked ? I hope Todd Bowles gets another shot at s HC job -
Beane screwed the Bills out of a 3rd round pick for Gilmore by keeping a terrible WR that could have been replaced with anyone and a FB. Assuming the bring back Wallace, I can't see any of those players getting big contracts. If they let Wallace walk it could get interesting. I'm not really sure what his market it. How often does a young CB that has 2 years of starting come to market and not get a high salary? And as others have said, Trubisky could be a wild card as well. My guess is they bring back both Wallace and Trubisky and they maybe net a 7th comp pick.

Redzone execution = Superbowl for this team...
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just learned yesterday Jack Handy was a real writer on SNL. I always thought it was a made up name to go along with the deep thought skit. -
Wilson's QB rating is 2 points higher than Allen's rookie year. I would give it more than 8 games before deciding if he is a bust or not.

18 game season is better. Expand roster to 58 players. Get rid of all the pre-season games. Keep one if you absolutely want to. 2020 they had none and the product on the field was no different than 2019 and 2021. Every poster on this board could have accurately predicted 50-52 of the players they kept. The bottom 3-5 guys are all interchangeable with a PS guy anyways. No need to risk injury in a pre-season game. 15 real games and they still couldn't figure out Bates was the best option at OG, and PS DT is dressing for games while a 2nd round pick is not. A glorified scrimmage isn't going to help them figure it out anymore than what they see or don't see in practice.

Pretty sure a bunch of people posted this same thing for the Jax game...let's hope the Jets pack it in early. I think they gave their all against Tampa looking for something positive at the end of the season. Yes they could play to keep the Bills from winning the division, but my sense is they would have rather beaten Brady. I think they fold quick if we can get out on them early. This is a week where McD should not defer if they win the coin toss.

Wonderlic Test Eliminated from Pre-Draft Process
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would be very interesting to get an honest assessment from GM how much they weigh combine performance into their thoughts. Jerry Rice did not run a 4.3 40. They can see if guys can separate on film. What does running a 40 yard dash from a sprinters stance have to do with football All good probable and valid reasons. Just watch the tape and talk to the players -
Good post Are you going to the Jets game or staying home

Wait…. Antonio Williams is back?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
It took 16 weeks to get Bates in the starting lineup and the same time to get McKenzie in the passing game. Davis is still fighting for snaps with Sanders. I like Moss pass blocking and catching out of the backfield. I really think he is excellent used in that way. I've been consistent in my complaints of having Jones on the roster for just STs. It would be interesting to see Williams get a few snaps in a meaningful game. I would have never kept Jones nor Gilliam. I would have had Singletary, Moss, Brieda, and Williams my four backs all year with Williams taking a few snaps at FB when needed. -
Who you guys pulling for in the NFC

If not Buffalo, then I would like to see Green Bay win another championship. -
Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!
Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
The same thing we did for 17 years. How do we find a franchise QB? Nobody talked about the weather because we were too busy discussing the lack of talent at the QB position and draft prospects at the end of the season. Now that the Bills have a QB you can talk about all other aspects of the game -
I was at the Bills Raiders playoff game - coldest in franchise history. I was also at the Bills Arizona Cardinals game that was hit with insane winds. Those were the two worst home weather games I can recall until this year's New England home game. Bills Colts with Peterman at QB, KB at WR, and Shady scoring in OT has to be up there as well.
