  1. Overrated Poyer - solid player and his contract is not too excessive. Limited in coverage but doesn't make a lot of mistakes Morse - he was an upgrade and adequate last year but for the money spent he is overrated. Milano - a fine player but this board thinks he is far better than he actually is Underrated Brown - Diggs is better but not by much. Brown is a very good route runner, has very good hands, has excellent but not elite speed, and decent run after catch ability. It will be very interesting to see how Daboll uses Brown this year. Hughes - Jerry is still a very good pass rusher. He doesn't get any benefit of the doubt from the officials. And he is more than adequate against the run. Murphy (vomit in my mouth) - for the money spent and the lack of jmpact plays he has been a terrible free agent value. That said he eats up a lot of snaps that will keep other guys fresh. He plays to the whistle and sets edge reasonably well even though he is not stout running directly at him. And his last 8 games played may been his best in a Bills uniform. Maybe he has fully recovered from ACL and can be a bit more disruptive pass rushing this year
  2. Expectations are high. Schedule is more difficult. We will quickly find out if the talent on the team is as good as advertised.
  3. Bills depth chart has Ford listed first for RG and RT. Anyone know how they will line up tomorrow? My guess is Ford at RT and Winters at RG.
  4. Insane to pay a RB. You can find a starter in first three rounds any year you want.
  5. Maybe too simple but Bills lose if Mosely didn't get hurt. The pick six was a bad pass by Allen. It could and should have been caught but it was a terrible pass that led to fluke pick 6. Allen played much better as the year went on (except Cleveland and Philly). He should be much better. Also the o-line was starting 4 new guys plus a new TE. They should be better this year with Ford in year 2 no matter who plays RT/RG.
  6. Watch the games. Daboll got guys open and Josh missed them. The only person this season depends on is Allen.
  7. Why do people care about Norman? He has been terrible for the last few years. It's dubious he would have even beaten out Levi for the starting job. Norman would be asked to do less in Buffalo than he was in Washington. I'm not worried about Levi. I'm worried about how the d-line will come together
  8. 2nd in points allowed is dominant but tied for 10-14th in Takeaways is not. They need 8-10 more sacks this year which will generate 1-3 fumbles and the increased pressure will produce another half dozen INT's. My guess, they score 2 defensive TDs this season and add a blocked punt for a safety just to make me look bad for saying special teams don't matter.
  9. 15,000 fans is nothing of a home field advantage. It's more a distraction for both teams than anything else. It's the lack of travel that is the home field advantage.
  10. 9 SuperBowls with no running backs, smurf WRs, and one great TE for less than half of those.
  11. Weapons are meaningless unless u ou have the QB. Its all on Allen
  12. Absolutely no need for NFL preseason games. No need to risk injury for meaningless games. As for fringe players, who cares about them. Preseason just makes them look better than they actually are. Preseason made Nate Peterman look like a capable QB and a rugby player like a capable RB. If a fringe player is good enough to make it they will show it in practice.
  13. All depends on how they do against Titans. If they lose both then he is gone and they probably only win 8 games. I'm still not sold on Titans and Tannyhill though
  14. Always get young at RB and never sign a RB to an extension. Let them all walk.
  15. Great execution all night. Absolutely no need for preseason games.
  16. Hyde is the back-up punt returner. I would guess McKenzie or maybe one of the rookie WR/RBs would step in on kick return as well.
  17. Well stated. McD is no better and may be a bit worse than Rex with regard to time management, game decisions, and challenges. But Rex destroyed a great defense even while building a top 10 scoring offense.
  18. I'm glad to be wrong. After the Marlins outbreak I thought for sure MLB and NFL would be a nightmare. But the players have taken this seriously and they are doing the right things to not get infected. Kudos to them. 20 to 30 year old millionaires doing the right thing. Nice job gentlemen.
  19. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Lots of veteran talent brought in. Losing Star will be bigger issue than this board wants to give credit. He absorbed a ton of blockers last year. H. Phillips was terrible his rookie year but looked a bit better before the ACL. Still its asking a lot from him to play a bunch early on. Oliver is the key here. I didn't like the draft pick but most on this board loved it. He didn't show much last year but there were flashes of him playing well.
  20. Well last year Daboll started the game throwing the ball a ton and never let up. Allen had 37 attempts to only 14 rush attempts for Gore/Singletary. And it was a one score game most of the time. I expect the same. Attack their weakness and see what we have with Diggs, Knox, Brown and company. Pass early and often, get a big lead, and then run Moss in the fourth quarter.
  21. Very interesting takes so far. 1. Patricia - week 8 2. Quinn - week 10 3. Nagy - as soon as they are elminated from playoff race 4. Gase - end of season 5. Marrone - end of season
  22. Good point. If they had a franchise QB that would be one. If this was 2018 we would say Kyle is that guy. Hopefully in 2022 we will be saying Allen, Edmunds, and White are those core guys.
  23. Well each team drafts 6-7 guys per year and usually keeps most on the roster but not all, add an UDFA or two, and 5-8 free agency changes I think it would add up pretty quick. That's 12-16 per year x 3 years or 36-48 players per team. Just a rough guess
