Just re watched yesterday's pats game
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see where you are coming from I try (and fail frequently) to keep emotion out of my criticisms I think the endzone play was a great play by the defender and no criticism of Shakir on that. The drop on the deep shot before the half was really unfortunate. That was a beautiful throw by Josh and would have put them in the red zone at least. It was a catchable ball that he needs to make more than not. -

Exactly. Can't criticize Diggs for the Chiefs drop and give Shakir a pass -
Will He Reinvent Himself: Coach Sean McDermott
Ethan in Cleveland replied to waterglass's topic in The Stadium Wall
I crap on McD all the time but this is player execution not scheme. It doesn't take a scheme to stop the run game. It takes guys just doing what they are supposed to do. That said, If we don't make it to the SuperBowl I would get rid of him, but I wanted to get rid of him after 13 seconds. He always folds in crisis situation. He did yesterday when everyone could see Allen's hand wasn't right. He shoudl have called TO. And the fake punt. He said they should have been in "defense safe" but it wasn't communicated. Well who's job is it to get that right? It's his. He either needs to tell the defense to stay out there or he needs to call TO knowing the punt team was out there. He is terrible in crisis and it will probably cost us a SuperBowl again this year. -
Controversial opinion: Elam was pretty solid
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like he can run with most WRs, just can't locate the ball. He got hosed on the first PI in the end-zone but the second one was a good call. I would still like to see him get one more start while Douglas heals up. But at this point it's Douglas' job. -
He looks better than at least 10 other starting QBs now. Looks better than Caleb Williams. INT in end-zone was inexcusable The backwards pass was ill advised. Probably should have not made the throw and just tucked and run.
