  1. He was listed on the list of receivers on a Buffalo Rumblings article about the depth chart, post draft. Not a joke, maybe just a misunderstanding. But thanks for the snark and tough talk! upon further examination, it was Andre Roberts. I apologize for any insanity that my post caused. I know Dougy84 clearly has no time for mistakes about ST players.
  2. I have complete confidence that Sills will most certainly beat out Andre Holmes for a roster spot. I also believe he can certainly beat out Ray Ray McCloud, Isaiah McKenzie, and probably Zay Jones. Zay is going to have to have a monster camp, to truly be able to earn his spot. He has shown brief flashes and that’s about it. I love this signing. A total process guy who has a knack for the ball, and is slippery at 6’5”. He’s not going to be an All Pro, but he certainly should be able to make this team.
  3. He’s long in the arms and legs, has great hands and gets them where they need to be. Not the fastest or the strongest, but he catches with his hands and gets open. He’s also coachable and is clearly a process guy. Love what they are doing with this team.
  4. Thats what he sounds like to me too. Not bad depth. Still would love to see some better depth on the other side too
  5. This is sort of my point i guess. Beane has has proven to use whatever means necessary, to ensure he gets the players he wants. With Oliver he could have gambled away some draft capital, but he didn’t. He was smart and surveyed the field. He knew he wanted Oliver, but he knew once the Jets took Williams, no one else was as high on Oliver. Someone could have jumped him, but he was cool. When it was time to spend, he spent on Ford to make sure no one else did. BPA, draft for need, trade back and acquire more capital, he does it. Nothing short of getting it done will do.
  6. I guess the variable then becomes “available”. So does drafting for need. This particular trade for Ford, goes against that cliche as well. I like that Beane gets the players he covets. He puts himself in the right position, and gets better. I dont know what to call that, other than refreshing... maybe hopeful.
  7. Does BPA still apply if you trade up or down? ive always been curious of this philosophy, and what it really means that in the draft room.
  8. “Give back that money you haven’t earned!”
  9. I don’t understand the negativity around this pick. Draft all the weapons you want, if your QB is running for his life on every play, and the defense keeps stacking the box because you can’t protect, what good is DK Metcalf? What good is any skill player or QB? Not one team has ever won anything without a talented OLine. Grow up, watch the game with the rest of the men, and stop pouting.
  10. I’m so pumped for this defense. Finally this organization is being run the right way
  11. I sincerely hope this is true. Measurables are beautiful to watch, but the game film doesn’t lie. Harry is an all around prototype WR. In this offense you need a player who can do it all, along with guys who can stretch the field AND move the chains. Brown Foster Beasley Jones do that. What we don’t have is a big bodied do it all. N’Keal Harry is that guy.
  12. After the OL signings, I’m ok with Metcalf. I’d prefer N’Keal Harry, but not at 9.
  13. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *catches breath* BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
  14. No cliches, just stating the facts on what he brings. Thanks for offering only snark instead of actual discourse.
  15. Because he’s a players player. He’s a workout machine, he’s an ace in the room, and he leads by example. Hes a process guy through and through.
  16. I’d rather extend him than pay home whatever the rate is for an Edge on a 5th year deal.
  17. I feel like a full season in the new training facility is going to make a world of difference for A LOT of players, especially Murphy. Liked what i saw from him last year. The whole line seemed to play faster and with intensity when he was on the field. Not sure how to quantify that with stats, but it was definitely something i saw consistently.
  18. Never. Not once. Not when my son was born and a Giants fan yelled “wide right” down the hallway of the hospital. Not it when i had the Jets logo shaved into my head after that god awful Thursday Night loss. Not after any super bowl. Never.
  19. Some people think that the 1 team race for Le’Veon Bell was the key to the off-season. People who pay atttention to headlines and not the details, will find this to be truth.
  20. This is fantastic news! Continue to build a big name defense that will definitely disappoint AND will cost WAY to much money in about 3 seasons. All hail Beane!
  21. The Yankees are a bad example in this particular instance. They want to pay their own players when it’s time. They’ll have $600 million between 2 players when Judge needs to be signed. $1.1 Billion is a lot of money, but how much of that is going to actually be paid to the players? Far less than what will be paid to baseball players with fully guaranteed contracts.
  22. The only way to change the perception of the team is to win. That’s it. Green Bay is just as depressing and miserable of a place as Buffalo, but players will gladly go there because they (used) to win. If we want respect for our team, they have to earn it on the field. No more blowouts to the Ravens, no more Peterman’s. No more middling between 7-9 wins a year. Make a statement and players will play here.
  23. Why not? He played great all through the playoffs and the SB. His numbers were down, but he still played really well most of the season. Different role and he adapted to it.
