  1. Sometimes people feel entitled, and it’s right. Why should Big Ben get to take days off or meetings off, or half speed practice, and he has to continue to work harder than everyone else with no wiggle room? I guess I see a guy who has proven his dominance and wants a little slack. And the powers that be won’t give it to him. He doesn’t need the NFL anymore, and the NFL certainly doesn’t need him. Which is a shame because he’s an incredible player. Watch him sit out this year and go to the XFL with Kaepernick and light it up.
  2. The amount of money isn’t the issue. You can feel owner making $10/hour. Money doesn’t buy freedom if you’re employer treats you like an employee.
  3. What has he done? He didn’t show up for practice and walk through? He felt like the team didn’t appreciate him. That his hard work and dominant play, weren’t enough. The “man” that does get to do whatever he wants is a multiple time accused rapist and generally unpleasant guy, is carried around on the shoulders of the team. Can you see the thread here starting to form a pattern? He works his tail off in the offseason, gets himself into insane shape, and is clearly the best player on the Raiders, and then after STANDING BY HIM, they fine him. The money isn’t the issue, it’s the principle behind the money. Gruden said “can you just stop this ***** and play football”. Clearly it’s more than money he is after. Clearly he wants to be VALUED not paid. He doesn’t want to just be paid, he wants to be treated like a great player and be given leeway and appreciation for his hard work and effort. If by some miracle he played on Monday Night, he could easily haul in 10 for 200 and 2 scores, and that’s after all this drama. He’s a special player, and feels like he should be treated that way. I dont think that’s so crazy really. It just seems that way because his dispute is read by millions of people and broadcast across the world.
  4. Why do we assume he’s mentally ill? He is by far the best WR in the game at the moment. He had had a legitimate beef with Big Ben, and the Steelers made a choice with him, and gave him what he wanted. He hurts his feet, the NFL makes him comply with their uniform rules based more on endorsement money than actual safety, and the Raiders (in their way) embraced the media hurricane that came with it. Then they fined him after “standing by him”. From his point of view, nothing has changed for him. He’s still “owned” by someone; and those someone’s still don’t appreciate what he does or what he brings. Im not saying i agree with him, but i can certainly understand his point of view.
  5. I guess because there is not one bit of quality coverage of my team? I can’t even listen to WGR because they’re the most uninformed and negative of them all. I read PFT throughout the day. They’re on all the major shows and are regarded as “experts” with “insight”. Articles like the one I posted are an example of the norm in sports journalism, not the exception.
  6. Seriously. Can these clowns get any worse. I don’t care about the outcome. You can think whatever team is going to win, i don’t care about that. But this uninformed and bored take: Bills at Jets MDS’s take: I have a feeling Adam Gase and Sam Darnold are going to have a few surprises in their offense that will take opposing defenses off guard early this season, and the Bills may find themselves playing catch-up on Sunday. That’s not what they’re designed to do. MDS’s pick: Jets 27, Bills 17. Florio’s take: One of these teams will contend for a playoff berth. That team is more likely to be the Jets. Florio’s pick: Jets 30, Bills 21. I mean, where is the analysis? What basis for these crafty plays from deep inside the mind of Adam Gase? The Bills aren’t designed to play catch up? Why are the Jets more likely to contend? Not even the local media here in NYC believe any of this, but the big city bias is strong. Here is the link for the rest of the trash in this column: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/05/pfts-week-one-picks-10/
  7. Imagine if they would have spent $30 million on the Offensive Line!
  8. It’s the system? I don’t understand why they get so little production out of the receivers in that scheme. Aside from Moss, who has really been a receiver on the outside that has been an every down threat for them? Certainly no one that has been drafted and brought up in the system. I was also banging the drum for Harry. I feel like he is a huge talent and was the possession type receiver that the Bills offense needed. Every year I’m confused by the Patriots, and every year they win another ring. SMH
  9. Oh please. Let’s run that Bryan Scott George Wilson hybrid thang again with Marcus Buggs shoring up the middle of he field.
  10. I’m still shocked at what they pulled on the Texans. Kenny Stills is not good. He’s a decent enough player, but he’s not a game breaker. And Tunsil hasn’t done a thing yet in the league. He’s big and strong and has good technique, but he’s not 2 1sts good and $50 million in guaranteed money good. Soon enough, the NFL will look more like the NBA.
  11. Cleveland made all the right media moves. Big splash Heisman QB, upcoming young inventive HC, big name players on defense. But... They’re still the Browns. They still play in Factory if Sadness, and there are far to many egos on that team for them to make a real run. Ill take McBeane’s approach any day of the week over what the media thinks.
  12. Ha! That guy. Man, everyone had a plan for that guy. “Put him in the slot, he’s a pure athlete in space.” Wonder what he’s up to.
  13. Foster isn’t even running with the first team in camp, and he’s a rising star?? and yes, it’s exactly that simple in the NFL. “I’ll be bagging groceries” still applies to the game today.
  14. Ok. That was two seasons ago, and there are 6 RB’s on the roster right now. Any of them can produce at the level that McCoy did last year; and none of them come with a $10 million tag.
  15. I don’t think this is true. I think any of us would be thrilled with seeing a Bills RB getting 2000 yards from scrimmage.
  16. 1250 on the ground 8-10 Rushing TD’s 350 receiving with another 3-5 TD’s if he can do that at 31 in the last year of his contract, I’ll be happy
  17. Why would trading a young player with little to no salary cap ramifications, be a better move than trading away an aging veteran in Shady? I understand that McCoy is a name, and at one point had some star power, but those days are LONG LONG GONE. I’m honestly not even sure why he is on this team. Yeldon Gore Singletary, seems like something to move forward with, even if it’s just for this season.
  18. Nope. No other injuries sustained by any NFL players at all.
  19. I love the approach with Murphy. I’ve said it before; the line played different when he was healthy and on the field.
  20. Wait, how did Oliver screw it up? He was drafted in the top 10 to a team that he wants to be on and wants him. Im not sure i get where he screwed up? Is it because Major Applewhite was upset at him wearing a jacket? That’s silly and you know it.
