  1. That’s pretty heavy handed. You expect us all to to believe that you’ve never been at a concert or a crowded bar, and some jackwagon security guy gets mouthy, you’ve had a few to many, your gf/wife says “STOP IT!” In that voice of hers that makes you nuts, you start yelling and pushing and the next thing you know, the cops are telling you to calm down and that you can get out of the cuffs as soon as you calm down. This is kind of thing happens every single night to the majority of males aged 18-30. Saying he should be shot is just silly. I get the need for saying something funny on the internet, but seriously.
  2. I wonder if that makes him worth a 1st then? You’re basically getting the best offensive player in football for $13 million. That seems like a no brainer.
  3. No way. I’m going to bite the hook on this one. If Wyatt Teller and Quinton Spain aren’t out there as the starting G’s, then I’ll be very confused. If Vlad Ducasse is on this roster past Thursday, I’ll be disappointed.
  4. @ddaryl what would be fair compensation for an over 30 RB who has been in decline for the last 2 seasons, especially last season. The Bills would be lucky to get anything for him, IF they are considering moving on from him, which they don’t appear to be. If the Bills shop him and ask for a 4th, they’ll be lucky with a 7th. This is how it works. Just because he used to be a name player, doesn’t mean he has value to an NFL team. What team’s GM is looking at his film from last season and says, “Smithers! Call up Beane, tell him we’ll give him that 3rd round pick he’s been after.” I agree he has value to the team. He provides fire and effort. That’s huge for a young team to have a name vet buy into what the coach is selling. But he’s got limited value on the field. I hope I’m wrong, but history doesn’t indicate i will be.
  5. The Bills would be lucky to get a 7th round pick for McCoy
  6. A bad offensive line prohibits timing throws. You’ve gotta hold up for those 2-3 seconds, even less sometimes. With new guys up front, those plays should be easier to dissect, with a well formed and clean pocket to throw from.
  7. It seems to be the current trend with the good young QB’s that year 2 is the playoff run if you’re good, and sitting at home in January if you’re not. If the playoffs aren’t in site in December, that will be a HUGE disappointment for me. I feel like the offense is good enough now with this line and the receivers we have, to be competitive enough to make that top 5 defense even better.
  8. He has tremendous potential, there is no questioning that. The issue is, when is the right time to pull the trigger on potential? Beane said it best in his post-draft presser, he watched the board thinking “oh man i can’t believe some of these guys are still on the board”, but that he wanted to stay put instead of spending draft capital and messing with the big board. In years to come we may look back and say “man I’m glad we have Singletary instead of Metcalf”. It could also go the other way too. That’s the beauty of the draft. You trust your scouts and your guts and you build your team the way you see fit. I would have loved him in the 3rd or 4th, but I’m also happy with the way things panned out for the Bills this draft.
  9. John Brown has at least been productive in the league in the same role that Metcalf would have played. Oh, and he can make lateral cuts with ease, isn’t sluggish on digs or comebacks, and can get off press coverage at the line. So....
  10. @YoloinOhio what a great quote about this kid. I’m very excited for the competition. The ONLY locks for this WR group is Brown Beasley and Foster. Outside of those three, there are a lot of empty chairs in the WR room. These guys better be in shape and be hungry.
  11. He was listed on the list of receivers on a Buffalo Rumblings article about the depth chart, post draft. Not a joke, maybe just a misunderstanding. But thanks for the snark and tough talk! upon further examination, it was Andre Roberts. I apologize for any insanity that my post caused. I know Dougy84 clearly has no time for mistakes about ST players.
  12. I have complete confidence that Sills will most certainly beat out Andre Holmes for a roster spot. I also believe he can certainly beat out Ray Ray McCloud, Isaiah McKenzie, and probably Zay Jones. Zay is going to have to have a monster camp, to truly be able to earn his spot. He has shown brief flashes and that’s about it. I love this signing. A total process guy who has a knack for the ball, and is slippery at 6’5”. He’s not going to be an All Pro, but he certainly should be able to make this team.
  13. He’s long in the arms and legs, has great hands and gets them where they need to be. Not the fastest or the strongest, but he catches with his hands and gets open. He’s also coachable and is clearly a process guy. Love what they are doing with this team.
  14. Thats what he sounds like to me too. Not bad depth. Still would love to see some better depth on the other side too
  15. This is sort of my point i guess. Beane has has proven to use whatever means necessary, to ensure he gets the players he wants. With Oliver he could have gambled away some draft capital, but he didn’t. He was smart and surveyed the field. He knew he wanted Oliver, but he knew once the Jets took Williams, no one else was as high on Oliver. Someone could have jumped him, but he was cool. When it was time to spend, he spent on Ford to make sure no one else did. BPA, draft for need, trade back and acquire more capital, he does it. Nothing short of getting it done will do.
  16. I guess the variable then becomes “available”. So does drafting for need. This particular trade for Ford, goes against that cliche as well. I like that Beane gets the players he covets. He puts himself in the right position, and gets better. I dont know what to call that, other than refreshing... maybe hopeful.
  17. Does BPA still apply if you trade up or down? ive always been curious of this philosophy, and what it really means that in the draft room.
  18. I don’t understand the negativity around this pick. Draft all the weapons you want, if your QB is running for his life on every play, and the defense keeps stacking the box because you can’t protect, what good is DK Metcalf? What good is any skill player or QB? Not one team has ever won anything without a talented OLine. Grow up, watch the game with the rest of the men, and stop pouting.
  19. I’m so pumped for this defense. Finally this organization is being run the right way
  20. I sincerely hope this is true. Measurables are beautiful to watch, but the game film doesn’t lie. Harry is an all around prototype WR. In this offense you need a player who can do it all, along with guys who can stretch the field AND move the chains. Brown Foster Beasley Jones do that. What we don’t have is a big bodied do it all. N’Keal Harry is that guy.
