  1. I want to say Yes, but that’s some hallowed ground. His value often goes unrecognized on stat sheets, but without him this defense would be lost.
  2. Aggressive! It was awesome to see the coaching staff have confidence to let them get after Jackson. Everything turned around after that AJ Klein Offside. Which is great to see. That’s a well coached team that took the field today, and it showed.
  3. Taron Johnson has no business covering a guy who is 10 inches taller and 80lbs heavier. It doesn’t matter how good he is against the run, or against a shifty slot guy. He has no business running with a TE. I’d rather see Hyde or Milano shadowing, than watching Taron Johnson get beat up the seams another play.
  4. Is a cartoon thumbs down, hostile?
  5. The three passes to the sideline at the end of the game were atrocious. There was no actual effort or play design. Not sure if it’s on Rivers or Reich, but 3 plays in a row where you just sail the ball out of bounds, is unacceptable in the NFL. They needed 11 for a first down, and maybe 15-17 yards for a FG? The Bills Defense did a good job i suppose of defending the sidelines, but if you’re the QB, you’ve got to do something better than that.
  6. This is such a great thread. I live in Long Island, and my 8 year old was laughed at when he said “Josh Allen” as the best QB in football 2 years in school. Not anymore. What a great feeling! I remember the tailgating and the parties and the food, and the yelling and that awesome feeling of pride mixed with joy. Im so excited to have that with my kids. He did tell my wife that he doesn’t like that I yell so loud, but whatever.
  7. I said this exact same thing to my wife. In the regular season, absolutely. Not in the playoffs though. The problem with it, is how transparent it is. And how stupid they think we are about the game we invest so much time and money into. As if we aren’t smart enough to know the rules. How many of us have been “making the call with AT&T” our whole lives. Thankfully, we have a team and coaching staff, that doesn’t allow themselves to be defeated by calls like this.
  8. This is a good point. But all those yards were hard fought. We haven’t seen that in a few weeks. We haven’t seen consistent pressure and sacks. We haven’t seen the middle of the field disappear for the offense. The Colts defense did a lot of things right today. Frank Reich and his analytics coaches on the other hand.
  9. This is true. There seemed to be too much sizzle, not enough steak. One thing that Indy did was get pressure from their front 4, and they played a lot of zone. Allen picked them apart, but it wasn’t easy. I was waiting for an interception, the way they were running coverage. There was nothing over the middle for large stretches of the game. That’s Daboll’s bread an butter. Some screen plays, or misdirections. Not having McKenzie for whatever reason, was a big part of that. This is where Allen’s arm strength takes over. He can zing those darts 30 yards down the sideline. Literally he can make EVERY throw.
  10. HAHAHAHAHSHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  11. Such a great video. There’s no reason to not be totally in love with this team.
  12. Ok. I don’t have a Twitter feed, and thought maybe it was there.
  13. So, I’m not trying to be argumentative here, but where. I started looking, and found countless articles saying that he should get an interview, or an opportunity. The quote from McDermott has said he supports him being a coach. The only quote I’ve seen from Daboll, in regards to his desire to be a coach is this: “You learn real quick that you better focus on the things that you can control, the task at hand,” he said. “Whether things are good outside or bad outside, you can’t control those. You can’t let your mind drift into those because then you wouldn’t be doing your job as good as you can do it. And that’s what you need to do. You better be at your best; you better be dialed in at this time of year because one slip-up and you’re not where you want to be. And that’s the worst feeling, trust me.” https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2020/12/24/buffalo-bills-brian-daboll-leslie-frazier-may-head-coaching-candidates/4028505001/ It doesn’t reflect a guy being interested in any job, other than the one he has. I know this is one source, and I trust your opinions. I’d just like to see it where he says he wants another job.
  14. Ahhh... I hadn’t seen that.
  15. Has anyone thought that maybe Daboll doesn’t want to be a Head Coach yet? Maybe he wants to win here too. He was snubbed by Belichik, went and got better, and is on the cusp of something awesome. I just don’t get the feeling from him that he wants to run the show yet.
  16. Pederson is a gambler. Maybe sometimes he should LISTEN to the lyrics in that song, when he sings it to himself.
  17. I’m torn. As a world famous Jets hater, I love to see their fans suffer. It brings pure joy to my heart. Adam Gase as their coach was manna from heaven, everyday of the year with these dopes. As a fan of good football, I’m glad he’s gone so I don’t have to here from the god awful Jet fans, about how horrible he is. He should not get another job in the NFL.
  18. Thanks again for another awesome season of write-ups. For me the game isn’t complete, until I read these. You are by far, my favorite Bills columnist. Cory Bojorquéz! I’m not trying to harken back to the Brian Moorman days, but this kid can kick. The second string defense looked awesome. Andre Smith looked like an uncaged animal. Dane Jackson looked fantastic, Harrison Phillips was all over the field. You’re right when you say that the TEAM is successful right now. I couldn’t believe the bomb to Gabriel Davis. That complete goes against every preconceived notion about McDermott. To go up by over 30, again in the game was unprecedented. I love it. The league is on notice. I was scared to say it, but not anymore.
  19. Who is Benny the Butcher? This isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard, but I’m not sure that it needs to be played instead of the Shout Song.
  20. I feel like that’s been the story. No real training camp. No real offseason. No preseason. The defense plays different when he’s not in. Josh Norman, Dane Jackson, Daryl Worley, don’t have the technique that Wallace has. He’s a craftsman on the field in coverage, and it shows now that he’s healthy.
  21. Nope, it’s a great thing. He’s another one that gets no love here, and he should.
  22. This may sound like a cop out... I don’t find the Ravens to be a team that cares if they are forced into the pass. The Bills have a tremendous pass defense, but again, the RPO game is an absolute momentum killer. You could make a stop on 1st down, break up a pass on second, and now on 3rd and long, Jackson can break one off for 9 yards, and it’s 1st and 10. That sort of attrition can wear you out on the field. And before you know it, your 2 score lead is now a field goal loss. We’ve all seen that happen, and not just to the Bills. The league used to be about sustaining drives with consistent running, and throwing to keep the defense honest. Now it’s the complete opposite, on both sides of the ball. Timely and efficient running, can demoralize a defense, and force your offense out of its rhythm. I do like Daboll’s methodology of scoring fast and often and then grinding it out with the run game in the 4th. And let me add that, I do think the Bills can beat a team like the Ravens, I’d still rather play Indy or Cleveland. The Ravens defense is not anywhere near as intimidating as it has been in recent memory. But again, they are well coached and can turn it up if they have too. I do think that pass protection is absurdly good for Allen. It’s been unreal to see how much time he has in the pocket, and that alone could be the difference in sustaining a playoff run this season.
