  1. Sorry if someone already made this point, but I'm at work and didn't have time to read through every post. Josh Allen is playing mistake free the last few games (bravo), but it's also severely hindering him. The clear reason for not being able to connect on a deep ball, is his fear of throwing an interception. As a result, the ball always ends up in no man's land. Not only can it not be picked, but also has no chance of our guys coming down with it. I mean, he hasn't even been close. It's grossly overthrown every-time. I've felt this way for weeks, but he just confirmed it in his post game presser. They asked him if he can pin-point the reason, for not being able to hit the deep ball, and he just said, I don't know, followed by.......I don't know if I'm super anxious about under-throwing it, and getting an interception. The coaches have him playing scared. This is a major detriment to his development. News flash.....we are not winning the Super Bowl this year, but we have this special talent, that we need to develop. Peyton threw 33 picks his rookie year. I'm sick of this ultra conservative approach. The only we we are beating the better teams in this league, is if Josh plays up to his potential, and that's not happening with the leash that they have on him. Let him go, and win or lose, live with the results. We'll be better in the long run for it.
  2. Well said. I agree with 100% of what you said. I wonder how high he ranks in completing those 3rd and 15+ situations. He's done it so much, that I almost expect us to convert those. In years past, I was making a trip to the fridge or bathroom, knowing we would be punting.
  3. I agree. Prior to the opener, I remember Sal saying that if Josh has the jump that Trubisky had in year 2, he would be very happy. That surprised me. I wanted no part in that comparison, no matter how good his stats looked. my mistake if it was.
  4. Same here, I'm equally excited and at the same time nervous. The TENN game gives me hope.
  5. I know everyone will laugh at Mitch Trubisky now, but a lot of people were praising Trubisky, after the year he had last year. I personally didn't see it. They were able to mask a lot of his inefficiencies, but whenever he needed to make a big play (critical 3rd down/end of game) type of throw, he was off the mark more often than not. Josh doesn't, and won't have the stats that Mitch had, but he passes the eyeball test. He couldn't be any more different. I'd like to hear all the self proclaimed experts, on how inaccurate Josh is. That argument is getting a lot tougher with each passing game. Will he make some boneheaded plays from time to time, absolutely. So will Drew Brees, and even the great Tom Brady. Time and experience is the only thing, that can reduce that frequency.
  6. I 2nd that WD.
  7. I think the point many of us are trying to make, is that when Allen has a bad game, or even makes a bad decision, it's magnified. Right now, it's all about how great the Pat's D is, with Allen, it's how horrible he was against them. And yes, Sam is having the worse game of the 2. 8-24 for 50yds, 4 picks, 1 fumble and 0 Tds. This is no longer a debate.
  8. Yea, trying to make something out of nothing. You watching Darnold right now? 4 picks and counting
  9. Up to this point, Darnold has looked worse. 6-13, 34yds, 2 picks and a fumble. Josh was trying to play too much hero ball. Sam looks more confused than Josh. Let's see how he comes out in the 2nd half.
  10. Diggs is in the same tier as Amani Cooper, but Cooper is a little better. At the time that Dallas gave up a 1st for him, many thought they overpaid. Cooper's perceived value was a 2nd round pick. That being said, maybe he could be had for a 2020 2nd, and 2021 3rd. It might even take 2 2nd rounders. Given what he could do for our offense, I would go as high as 2 2nds for him. He would essentially be replacing Zay Jones on the outside. The guy is a play-maker, when the ball is in the air. Diggs, Beasley and Brown, would be an outstanding trio.
  11. I also would like to add, no Devin Singletary. I know Gore ran great, but Singletary could of given the passing game a big boost. And who knows, maybe with him back there, Josh throws a couple early check downs to him, or a screen or 2, and it totally changes the tempo of the game. I know a lot of what if's, but there's a lot of good young talent to be excited about. No team has a perfect draft, but so far, it looks like Beane hit it out of the park. Oliver, Metcalf (over Ford) in the 2nd, the rest of the draft the same.
  12. Good point. BB has made a living on making good to great QB's look bad against his defense. This could pay off in the long run for Allen, but too early to tell. They thought that he would take the bait, and he certainly did. My expectations are actually still up for this year. I think the Defense is even better than I expected, and I already had high hopes. I think we go 10-6 this year, and maybe even win a Playoff game. By next year, with another strong draft, we overtake the PATS. The gap is smaller than I thought. People already forget how bad we were last year, and how far we've come in just 1 year. The 3-0 start, made people go crazy with their expectations. We're still very much on track. We have a very young team, and if they continue to grow as they are, I can see us beating them in Foxboro come week 16. Before I thought there was no way, but not anymore.
  13. I was too emotional to feel this way yesterday, but today I feel like I can view things with a clear head. Going into Sundays game, I gave the Bills a 10% chance to win, given our history against the Pat's. But now I know we can hang with the big boys. In the past, it would take a nearly perfect game to have a chance. We played like trash, and still had a chance to win on the last possession. Please tell me, when was the last time that happened. In years past, that would've been a 56-10 blowout. Rodney Harrison on PFT took notice. Says that he expects them to be very good for a long time. Worth a listen
  14. I'm sure we would of deferred, if we won the toss. Which gives us choice on field if we lost the coin toss.
  15. Hands down, the best corner in the league. Jax problems have everything to do with poor QB play and bad coaching, and little to do with Ramsey. Yes, he's a big trash talker, but backs it up. I don't understand why people here take it personal.
  16. Fantastic! Thank you OP. So refreshing to hear.
  17. I hear you on the blowouts, but if I'm not mistaken Peterman was a part of most of them. I know Josh was a part of the GB, and the Patriots game. I don't remember who started against the Colts, but they Mauled us.
  18. DK or Hakeem Butler. Playmaker/mismatch nightmares. Than try and go after Sternberger. It's a lot more affordable to go after guys now. Indy moved down from 26th overall to 46th overall, for a 2nd next year.
  19. I like it. Thanks for putting this together, I agree that it could very well play out this way. I'm not buying the Jets interest in Oliver at 3.
  20. Agreed! And lets add a tightend like Sternberger in the 3rd. Oliver and Hakeem would be the dream 1-2 scenario
  21. That could take our defense from good to great.
  22. I would rather take Isabella in the 3rd, than Hollywood Brown in the 1st or 2nd.
