  1. I don't care how we do it, but I would like 1 from each list. 1. Breece Hall 2. Kenneth Walker 3. James Cook 1. Alec Pierce 2. Christian Watson 3. George Pickens 4. Sky Moore
  2. I'll have to do some youtube scouting on Taylor Britt and Josh Williams.
  3. I don't disagree there. But here's where my thought is. WR1 Diggs WR2 Gabe Slot Crowder/McKenize TE1 Knox TE2 OJ CB1: Tre (doubtful to be ready) also don't know how he's going to look. It may take until year 2 to be fully back. CB2: Dane Jackson (who I like, but couldn't beat out Levi for the job last year) Slot: Taron More questions in the secondary. Plus I like the WR in rd 2/3, better than the projected CBs. I wouldn't mind Booth in rd 1 (no trade) and Watson/Pickens in Rd2 (trade up) or Pierce late 2 or 3. If we do trade up, I rather mortgage more of 2023 than 2022.
  4. We don't trade up for a back-up plan, we trade up to try and land the next superstar at CB. 4-5 years from now, Tre will be 32. Pefect time to stagger the contracts.
  5. I highly doubt he would ever come back to Buffalo, but I would be all for it. Not like he's going to give us the hometown discount.
  6. No, your right. But as a fan, its a lot funner to dream. At the end of the day no one knows what will happen, but anything is possible.
  7. That wouldn't be news. Peter King also previously speculated that the Giants might want to move one of their 1s this year, to have 2 next year. Mentioned the Bills as one of the likely trade candidates. Peter King isn't guessing, he likely heard something as well.
  8. If we want a running back to be a meaningful part of the offense, he has to be an above average pass catcher 1st, and runner 2nd.
  9. Dotson was great at Penn State, and far and away the best player on that team last year. I'm not concerned about his ability, just that he's a bit too slender. I would love him as a 2nd or 3rd pick, if we go CB 1st, and Watson and Pierce are both gone.
  10. I really like Watson too, along with Pierce. I want that size/speed combo.
  11. I haven't looked it up, but I believe it's Calvin Johnson. Who are are referencing, Watson?
  12. Except that Moulds was a big, fast, physical freak.
  13. If we go WR in the 1st or 2nd round, I fully expect us to put a big emphasis on speed 1st, and size second. I don't believe Beane will get a blazing small guy in the 1st. No one under 6ft in my opinion. That's why I'm thinking Watson Pierce Williams Pickens Williams is the least likely because of where he's projected to go, and his injury.
  14. Watson or Pierce
  15. I hear where you were coming from, and Beane may agree with you, but CB is a premium position that always goes a little earlier than expected. I know we went with Rosseau last year, who I was happy with, but Beane mentioned that they had their eyes on a couple of corners, but they all went before they're pick. It comes down to how they have these guys graded, and how big the gaps are between tiers. The one thing that we have sorely missed in the secondary, is both speed and length. I don't think we wait around this year, it may not be as high as 7 or 5 with NYG, but I don't think they'll settle for whoever drops.
  16. I don't know if it was this week's mmqb by Peter King, but it was definitely something Peter King wrote, about the 4 teams most likely to trade with NYG, and Buffalo was number 1. It also could of been when he was a guest on the Herd, sorry I don't remember the specifics, but this got me thinking, that we might already have the framework of a trade to move up with NYG, to get the top corner of the draft (Sauce Gardner). I know it would cost us 25# this year, 32 next year, and maybe even a mid round pick somewhere, but this would be the time to do it.
  17. I think the Bills will be aggressive this year, and will trade up to grab the corner they covet. I personally wouldn't mind using next years 1st, to land a guy like Sauce Gardner.
  18. Long corner with speed in the 1st Round, Guard or Center in the 2nd, WR in the 3rd.
  19. No, you're right and are being more sensible and less emotional than I am. However, I still believe we could of signed Jones, without blowing up the plan. 3 year deals are ideal for this, exactly the length that Beane typically strives for. It just made too much sense, but who knows, maybe we matched, and he took Vegas anyways. Can't pretend to know a players motivation.
  20. I'm usually not negative, I love my Bills, but I had to get this off my chest. We've done really well in some areas of this team, but have really whiffed on the DLine. In back to back years we invested a 2nd round pick on a guy, only for that guy to be mostly inactive. We've also blown a decent amount of money, as others point out, on some mediocre talent at best. We've spent about 10M on guys like Addison, and wasted about 7M more on guys like Butler and Murphy. Im not even talking about the initial contracts either. In both cases, these guys would be inactive the year before, and we would assume they we're obvious cut candidates, only to be brought back for another year. If you do the math, it's Chandler Jones money that we've wasted. We should of had money rolling over, not be in over the cap. Josh's figures haven't even kicked in yet. That concerns me. At the end of the season, I blamed McDermott, but now I'm beginning to think more and more, that it's the lack of talent on Defense. Hyde, Poyer, and Tre we're all signed/drafted before Beane came on. He hit a grand slam with Allen, no doubt there, but he needs to start connecting a bit more in the trenches. Epenesa, Basham, and Ford were all 2nd round picks, and the return investment there, is really concerning. Maybe Beane hands the keys to someone else, at least in the 2nd round. Josh Allen has made up for some of this team's deficiencies, but we need to improve a bit more around him. Mainly in the trenches.
  21. Couldn't agree more. Hard pressed to find another LB as good as Bobby Wagner. Legion of Boom, gets all the press, but he was the best player on that defense. He's what we were hoping Tremaine would become, unfortunately never happened.
  22. This is a really fun topic and almost certainly needs to be divided. Rodgers is no doubt a top 5 talent, and a top 3 performer in the regular season. The year he won the Superbowl, he played some of the best football I've ever seen in the playoffs. However, that was before he was a known diva. Over the last however many years, je just hasn't been as special. I also tend to put more stock into playoff football. Tony Romo was a great reg season QB, Eli was just the opposite. I would've taken Eli, and would trust him over Rodgers in the playoffs. I almost think that Rodgers is very aware of his placement, and likely cares about his stats/rating. Maybe one of the reasons his pick totals are so low, is that he sometimes plays it safe, instead of pushing the envelope like a Josh, or Mahomes will do. I also have only been watching football for about 30 years, and I would have to say. Brady Montana Manning Young Kurt Warner
