  1. Why is Benford playing off on 3ed and 2, and back back peddling
  2. I never thought I'd be this excited over a street FA, but it's exactly what we needed. Good call!
  3. I really enjoy Marino's indepth analysis, and will await the all 22. I'm sure Allen missed some throws, but I'd like to compare the number of throws he missed, to how many times was everyone covered up. The other thing I noticed last night was how bad our line pass protected. We made the Giants front seven look like the Jets front seven. McGovern's worst game as a Bill. He's been great, until last night.
  4. The timing of everything just seems off. Out of sync, uncordinated.
  5. I think we also have to account for the fact, that under Daboll, we had an inferior oline, mainly both guard positions. Teams knew we couldn't run it, and we still had success passing the ball at will. I think the front office is to blame as well. They have continually failed to replace the Beasley position. They have invested more on TE (Knox big contract) and a 1st round pick on Kincaid, than on WR. Where is our return investment?
  6. It's absolutely wild he continues to do that. Dorsey has a horrible feel for the game, and it's not so much what he calls, but when he calls it. Even on that 3rd down that was a bit low to Knox but still catchable. We knew we had to try and get a 1st down. 1st down run...ok. they should of tried playaction on 2nd down. Defense was still totally selling out for the run in 2nd down. He also always calls one too many runs. We ripped 2 10 yard runs. The 3rd play should be playaction. Short run for next t nothing, than playaction. His timing is just horribly off all the time.
  7. I agree, but as others here have stated, 35-40% of the time seems to be a good target. We are so good under center, that it's mind boggling, that it's not our base.
  8. I heard on WGR this morning that we ran playaction on 5 plays. The week before against MIA we ran playaction on 35%. I wish Dorsey would fall in love with playaction, the way he does with the shotgun draw up the middle. This eads me to the biggest 2 issues with Dorsey, it comes down to things, that you alluded to. 1. Improper use of Personal (Hines last year, Kincaid and Hardy this year). 2. Formation usage. When and how often to utilize formations.
  9. I agree with this and will add. Dorsey called an awesome game in Miami, best one yet. 35% play action. In this game he ran play action on an astonishing 5 plays. How many more failed shotgun handoffs are we going to make? We run and throw better, when Josh is under center.
  10. First this will never happen, but it is fun to talk about. Evans is well on his way to the hall of Fame, and would be the perfect complement to Diggs. Big body, fast, and catches everything. It is fun to fantasize.
  11. This is spot on
  12. Thank as always for doing this. I'm ok with that second forced error, given the down and distance (3rd and 20), one on one on the outside with Gabe. Too deep for Gabe to have a chance to make a play on it. Not sure if he slowed up, or all on Josh.
  13. Fair enough. I certainly do hope I'm wrong, and maybe I'm being too critical. The space comment, what comes to mind is Hardy's touches, and Kincaid's. I don't take notes, so I can't give you specific plays, but it just seems that these guys are always immediately being met.
  14. So...you enjoy shotgun on 4th and a foot? Or our players seemingly never getting the ball in space.
  15. I agree and will only add, that All I want to see is good situational football. I was screaming at the TV, when I saw that we were lining up in shotgun on 4th and a foot. Our best play in that situation is QB sneak. I'm not saying that we have to sneak it, but at least pose the threat. I'd like to see them under center in short yardage situations mainly, and occasionally mix it in from there.
  16. I'm going to keep this to 4 teams. 1. Dolphins- through 3 weeks and what he showed last year, McDaniels might be the best offensive mind in the game. Serious threat to the entire conference. It'll come down to, can they continue to protect Tua? 2. Cincy is in real trouble this year. 0-2, with a gimpy Burrow. Rest him tonight and start 0-3, or play him and risk further injury. 3. Chiefs- they got worst at the tackle position, and seem to be missing Juju out of all people. On the flip side, they look a lot better on D. If they stay healthy, they'll remain the top threat. 4. Bills- McD and Bernard makes it look like a new defense. Faster, more physical, with some edge. Kind of like McD. Frasier by all accounts was a great great human being, who was loved by all, but probably too much of a nice guy. That's what we had with Frazier, a nice defense that would get pushed around. Our interior OL is the best it's been. That has lead to an improved running game. The bad- Dorsey really struggles with play calling duties. I believe we continue to run the same offense as when Dabs was here, but it looks and feels very mechanical. Our offense only seems to work if Josh Allen is amazing. Guys rarely have any space to operate. All these new weapons and improved oline, Dorsey just doesn't know how to use them. This is the number 1 problem right now, and what could hold us back.
  17. LB are only successful if the Dline keeps them clean. Sure they could occasionally shed, but more often than not, they will lose that battle. I remembered thinking at how washed Ray Lewis looked, after Siragusa retired, and before they drafted NGata. Once he had help on the Dline again, he went on to arguably play his best ball.
  18. I think you're still spot on. The good: oline, dline, Bernard, Josh. McDermott the DC The bad: Dorsey playcalling
  19. I think when it's 3rd or 4th and a foot, he needs to be under center. Defenses have to alot the proper resources to defend, which typically create great opportunities for both play action and bootlegs. When we go into shotgun, we completely eliminate it.
  20. Both can be true. Josh Allen's worst game yet, and Dorsey is a bad OC.
  21. The thing with Dorsey, is everything seems so forced. Nothing is ever easy, defenders are constantly sitting down in the spots that the receivers are going. We need to fire Dorsey and give Brady a shot. He can't be worse than Dorsey.
  22. This is an Epic failure by the organization. Spend a 1st round pick on a CB that excels in press man, when we're predominantly a zone team. Also, every team mixes in zone and man. They haven't been able to tweak the defense a bit, to use his skill set? Multiple times, I saw Elam last year stick to Tyreek like glue. You mean to tell me, that guy is not good enough to be one of the 46? Crazy!
  23. He'll get his too, but you have to believe that Tee Higgins is as good as gone after this year.
