  1. There is clearly some aspect to his game that is not there yet. Maybe he doesn't have "game starter" stamina levels or some such.
  2. Clearly, this organization is not ready to fire McDermott. Not yet. But I have been saying, now going on 2 years, that SOME DAY Pegula is going to have to make a judgment on McDermott. If the ring fails to materialize, at some point, Pegula will have to do something about it. Where his personal breaking point is, I don't know. And it's clear we're not at the point NOW. But after another disappointing bow out of the playoffs? Maybe in embarrassing fashion as we did last year? Is that enough? How about after 2 more playoff defeats? McDermott should be REQUIRED to win a SB at some point, or pay for that failure with his job. Anything less than that is amateur hour.
  3. If true, would that not have been reported? Wouldn't NOT reporting that violate league rules?
  4. I genuinely believe SOMEONE should pay with this job for the fumble/TD play down on our own goal line. We HAD THE GAME WON and then GAVE IT AWAY, for the second time in CONSECUTIVE SEASONS. The special teams coach paid for 13 seconds. Who pays for today?! That level of Mickey Mouse Club Football cannot be tolerated.
  5. I agree with your overall point about money and return on investment. But no one is talking about Von. I thought today was a very typical game for him. He did NOTHING for the entire game, then came through with a BIG sack late in the game. Then he went back to being invisible again until the game ended. He is almost always one-on-one with the right tackle, and not drawing a double team. He's not helping out other guys on the line by sucking up multiple defenders. He rarely gets pressure if you watch him--he either beats that RT for a sack, or he gets handled right out of the play. The money spent on him is almost entirely a waste, IMO, in terms of translating MONEY PAID to WINS ON THE FIELD. He's totally expendable.
  6. I still can't get over the fumble on the goal line for a Vikings TD! The game WAS OVER. WE WON THE GAME. And we screwed that up! This is not being talk about enough! This is another 13 seconds game! Never thought we'd get another one so soon after the first!
  7. I do wonder if Josh's mental condition is related to how we have structured the offense. He's the entire team and there is a LOT of focused pressure on him every play. The only big name besides him is Diggs, but Diggs still can't throw the ball to himself. It begins with Josh. It's ALL ON JOSH, ALL THE TIME. I wonder if the pressure has cracked him.
  8. I have NO IDEA how people like you are Bills fans. I was born into it in Buffalo! That's why I care, and why I could never change teams. But those of you who are not native WNYers, I just don't get it. Life doesn't have to be that hard.
  9. If it was 1987, you might have a point. He is average. In 2022? It doesn't matter. Can definitely still win a SB with him. What we REALY need, tough, is an elite QB. There's the rub.
  10. A big part of the mission, this year, was to get that home field advantage! Make Mahomes do what he's never done before: play a playoff game on the ROAD. There's a reason that was the mission. Losing on November 13th directly relates to losing in January. There are always going to be blindly rationalizing Bills fans.
  11. I thought he was scapegoating the coaching staff!
  12. Kind of a douchebag response, which is a real surprise coming from you, Augie.
  13. So you have a cute, precious, little 1 month old daughter! Go hold her if she's not down for the night and FORGET about football for a while.
  14. There might actually be a "start Case Keenum" contingent among the fanbase this week! If that guy ends up playing, fans will very quickly wish they had Josh back! LOL
  15. Unfortunately I think you are right; his inconsistency is a part of who he is.
  16. There are many things to blame, but Josh's INTs are easily the most significant factor in the loss.
  17. And please remind me, when is that exactly? Hyde is gone for the year and I'm not so sure White isn't as well. Poyer seems to be seriously messed up; probably won't get right this season.
  18. Best post I have read here in weeks.
  19. A certain % of Bills fan will ALWAYS only look at the bright side. Most of that group are nowhere to be found right now. They all always abandon the team after hard losses. I at least commend the OP for actually showing up and participating in the post-game discussion.
  20. This is not a good statistic, but we just have to hope Josh gets it back under control and this goes away. What choice do we have? He can get it back under control. And if he doesn't, we won't have the season we all hoped for. And then you focus on next year.
  21. LOL; focus on trying to not get your ass kicked in Ukraine, first.
  22. I noticed McDermott kind of threw Josh under the bus at the very start of his post-game PC...basically saying you can't win when you turn the ball over 4 times. It's not like him to point at specific reasons for losses.... It's usually all "WE" didn't do enough.
  23. I'll have what he's having! Pass that bottle!
  24. That's all true, but neither of these teams looks like a SB team, right now at least. Philly vs. KC is more likely.
  25. All joking aside, I would not trust our coaching staff to win a close game against a great opponent with strong coaching in a big playoff game or SB. In game tactics and decision making is not McDermott's strong suit and it ain't ever gonna be.
