  1. Thought it was an interception but the ruling on the field was incomplete (after discussion and taking away the INT). Nothing conclusive in the replays could overturn it. Side note, thought it was great that NY can call down during the game to get a call right, and quickly. Perks of being the only game played i guess.
  2. Thought Nantz was biased against us but that could be my bias thinking everyone else is biased against us. Romo was great as always.
  3. 10.22 yards per play is ridiculous. We've come a long way and it's about time we can do this stuff. I just find some of these records laughable. I'm sure there'll be a 97 yard TD by another team and it'll be the longest in the first 89 seconds of a game. Stats can be made to fit any narrative. Nothing against OP here, great to know this stuff and toot our own horns, just find some of the stats the talking heads push laughable.
  4. I'm genuinely curious, was this actually said? and by who?
  5. yea, was in great position but got absorbed. A little film review and some more experience will clean this up.
  6. Lets just hold Allen accountable for designing the offense too. We have no idea what the play call is, there could be pulling lineman to that side, fullbacks/tightends, receivers downblocking certain players. We could be out of position like that play where Gabe Davis was supposed to crack the safety or whoever and was too far outside that he couldnt get there. Realistically, there are probably only a few plays Allen can check to based on the situation. I fault Allen 0%. The coaching staff should be telling Allen what to do when he sees certain looks and should be practicing that.
  7. Davis played more because he's included in that jumbo package that we ran a few times last night (ie his TD catch). Also, wr's come out after being targeted or make a catch (most of the time). Diggs saw more targets and had more catches which distort the snap count. Don't get me wrong, Davis is great but he won't be our #1 as long as Diggs is here.
  8. Dont think so. KC knew they couldnt afford Hill, or at least didnt want to make him the highest paid WR. Adams wanted out from GB. Both teams thought it best to get some sort of value instead of letting them walk or them go full diva mode (aimed at Tyreek, dont think Adams would cause a lot of issues but who knows). I'm sure they would love to have kept them and have that alpha instead of who they have now. KC tried to replace Hill with JuJu which tells me theyre looking for elite talent at the position. GB drafted multiple wr's to try and recoup some of Adams' production.
  9. Donald was #2 and #3 in the past 2 years and didnt have a superbowl until last year. Impact on the game is what's measured, not accolades.
  10. Concerned about JA's talent/abilities? No. Concerned about growing pains in a new offense? Absolutely.
  11. All relies on cash on hand though. Investment value doesnt translate to immediate cash flow - they'd have to sell the investment for that to happen unless they want to leverage against it. I have no idea their cash flow but my guess is most of it is tied up in other things, hence the challenge for smaller market teams to do what the rams do.
  12. I could be on board with this. Look at how the 49ers use Deebo, we could use CMC in similar fashion and get him out into space.
  13. I agree, but think it's due to coaching. I'm a big believer that coaching has everything to do with a player's success and think Mahomes is the perfect match for Reid's offense. Put him anywhere else and I think he's a solid, but not great, player.
  14. I agree the coverage team knew when bass was going to kick short during the season and when he was going to kick it out. But, regardless of what was happening, they had to cover b/c of the chance it's actually shorter than planned or the returner takes it out, which is why it's not as important to convey the kick plan to the coverage team. Bass is really the only person that absolutely needed to know. I think they were worried Hill might be back there and wouldnt be able to stop him, hence the touchback.
  15. If there was any miscommunication, it's absolutely on the coaches. It's their job to call the play and make sure everyone knows their role. If bass was off to the side, every coach should be talking to him. The coverage team's role is to fly down field regardless of whether or not its to be kicked out. They dont need to know its going to be dropped short, stay in their lanes and make a tackle, just like every other kick off. That's high school sh*t.
  16. I'm torn, KC is on the trajectory of the Pats so there's a growing hatred there but is it weird that I dont want cincy out of jealousy?
  17. Not sure you can blame the first coin toss (or even the second in OT) for the loss. But nice work with the stats, very interesting. This is going to be a stretch but is there any correlation with increased points scored or wins? Seems like there should be with extra possessions. Would be cool to see how much of an advantage winning the coin toss could be (theoretically of course).
  18. Allen outplayed Mahomes no question. There's nothing more he needs to do, or can do for that matter - he was let down by the so called #1 defense and bonehead coaching moves.
  19. I vividly remember a few plays where our D-Line didnt even rush. They just stood there and barely moved. Literally could not believe my eyes. Someone is going to argue that they were gassed but isnt the point of the d-line rotation to keep guys fresh? Overall, thought the gameplan was atrocious. Daboll locked up a job, Frazier probably lost his.
  20. These wont even be surprises. If all 3 arent gone our FO has lost it.
  21. That was pathetic last night. Thought his play-calling was suspect at best. Couldnt even get his team prepared for a playoff game.
  22. So you're the reason we lost Tre... I suspected someone's superstition was the cause of his demise
  23. Agree with most of this. We need to get away from looking purely at stats and include context - garbage time stats is a great example of how yards could be skewed. Another example is how Josh threw 3 picks last week and everyone is saying how careless he is with the ball. One of the announcers yesterday actually added that 2 of those balls were tipped - granted, Josh takes some of the blame, but it was just 2 bad bounces. You could even look at Jameis Winston 2 years ago when he threw for over 5,000 yards and 30td but had 30 picks with most of his good stats coming in garbage time. With that said, we didn't have really any garbage time games where numbers were inflated so you really have to recognize Josh is doing something special. 10,000 yards and 80 td's in 2 seasons truly is great. Offense is definitely struggling. But again, even with our struggles, we're putting up 25+ points. Regardless of how bad the opposing defense is, that's a positive. I'm hoping Daboll was calling it conservative today - no designed JA runs or Mackenzie sweeps that have been implemented in the past few weeks. Things will open up this week in the playoffs.
