  1. Pats have to play the same very tough schedule we play this year, so I'll take Josh over Stidham in that situation. Stidham will see defenses the likes of which he has never seen in live action and we'll just see how he does. Josh is ready now, Stidham hasn't even played a game yet. Not very concerned.
  2. love the Haynesworth comparison. I am in D.C. and what a joke he was after Snyder paid him to come to the Redskins.
  3. hey peeing in the sinks was the way 30 years ago
  4. The offensive roster is much better this year, plus Josh is fixing his flaws, plus the playbook is familiar, so production will increase. All part of the process. Will he be Johnny Unitas? probably not. Lets just go win the Division and go from there.
  5. those guys were drafted to fit specific roles in Rex's 3-4 defense, Shaq as the run game edge setter 3-4 end, Ragland as the big banger inside LB. Can't remember what Washington was drafted to play, the first two were for a defense that was completely ripped out when McBeanes came in. Ragland was suddenly way too big and slow to play LB in McD's 4-3, so he was shipped to KC's 3-4 (that worked out pretty well for him) and Shaq was no 4-3 pass rushing end, although he evolved enough to get a big FA deal. So it all goes back to the hiring of Rex, which was about the worst thing Pegs could have done.
  6. Agreed. Although Murphy played big in Houston. I really think that was the motivation behind the Diggs deal , the window is probably the next 3 seasons, maybe the next 4. But they are really just roster building for the next 4-5 years and beyond. This roster will be strong for 4-6 years. They did it right. They have cap, a strong roster and Allen for 3 years more at least. Gotta like it.
  7. Clowney = shiny toy. McBeanes don't do "shiny toys" . Pass. You have the roster right now to win the Division. Go get Milano, Tre and your own guys signed. Go win the Division!!
  8. no team is a lock. if 3/5 of the starting O Line goes down with IR injuries, if Josh blows a knee , etc. your season is Over. But yes, if they are nearly as healthy as they were last year, this is a 10 win+ team, sure.
  9. this is the correct view IMO. stick to the process, make them financially viable and highly competitive every year, if you do that the playoffs will take care of themselves plus a SB appearance or two will happen as well, and maybe you win one every so often. That's just good management and this is the first time since Polian we've had that. Trust the Process. Draft well, scout well and sign your own first. Love the way they have adapted to the non- off season by signing FAs that already know the systems in place. That is just f ing smart.
  10. No more old guys. Trust the Process. Draft, Develop, Sign your guys. Unless they are young in their prime and not overpriced (eg. Diggs). No old shiny toys, Beane.
  11. McBeanes killing it as usual. Trust the Process. The wins will come.
  12. yeah might as well shut down the world every flu season from now on
  13. the national narrative is starting to change a little. takes time. and wins.
  14. Every season kind of stands on its own. This past season, completely healthy playing against largely bad quarterbacks , this was an 11 win team (would have beaten Jets in last game if they needed it). Assuming the injury count returns to at least the league average , plus out of division playing Wilson, Mahomes, Jimmy G, Carr , Goff, instead of a duck, whoever the hell that was QB ing the Redskins, mariota, et al. I would think 10 wins would be a progress. It'll all come down to those 2 games against the Pats.
  15. Give him Megatron and yeah, Josh's stats will improve dramatically. Nuff said.
  16. as a coach? that is the context for the question, right? ?
  17. reddit you old fools. go ask the nearest millenial.
  18. Lets hope we can sign our own guys and draft well again. That is the mode for this team. As always , all else being equal, most FAs ain't comin' to the B Lo.
  19. Agreed. Not going to get you to the SB, but exciting player and seemed like a good guy as well.
  20. i take back what I said earlier, I am enjoying this latest BB thread; so much built up dislike for them; we all share it, don't we ☠️. need to get it out on a regular basis
  21. yeah I hope Brees just retires, rather than come back and just decline. but remember, these guys had/have been doing this for 30+ years. It is what they are to some degree...
  22. yep. he was clearly playing not for the Bills last year, but 100% in anticipation of FA.
  23. exactly. why is his name mentioned on this board? enough Pats f ing talk, already
