  1. I like the way Beane refuses to tie his hands in the draft. He will pick the BPA, knowing he already has enough players in each of his rooms for this season. McBeanes are playing the long game. I like it.
  2. If he has recovered fully from the arm ailments (maybe he has, right?) , the guy can play. He was injured. Guys can recover from injury. H-ll, niners got to the playoffs with the last pick in the draft. A lot is possible. If his arm is just dead, then thats another story. Plus the diva factor would be an issue for many teams.
  3. It is Frank and Teressa Bellissimo , but hey you were close. https://anchorbar.com/history/ Spent a fair amount of time in there in the late 70's when it was just a one room dive bar . We were Bryant & Stratton (across Main St. on North) students and that was our afternoon beer spot. It is unrecognizable now with all the add on spaces .. not sure if the original barroom is even there any more. Thanks for the OP. That was a time back then.
  4. not a year to draft a WR #1 it appears. Is what it is. OL seems a better path.
  5. good player. We should bring him back. slander? nah, just Bills Mafia being a bunch of whining babies.
  6. I'm ready to play it back with the guys we have now. Put Harty in the slot and off we go. Fix the O line
  7. This work by Beane is totally in keeping with the McBeane's process. 1. Maintain/upgrade talent, 2. don't go after shiny, expensive, aged bad boy FAs, 3. pull 2-3 starters out of the draft every year. Maintain a great locker room / QB room culture (don't let any player feel like they are alone in WNY in December- make it a family) He is doing exactly that again. This team will be top 5 for years to come. Trust the Process. It ain't flashy, but it works.
  8. So when he and Jordan Palmer do their "The Room" podcast, Kyle will actually be in an actual QB room! I can see Josh, Matt, Kyle and Jordan kicking it around on a Tuesday evening from OBD. Pretty cool.
  9. yawn. of course this was going to happen
  10. no surprise there. go get more offense Beane. we know how this league works now
  11. be most specific in your title so that i can ignore your post more quickly
  12. Diggs made him look pretty bad in week 1, as I recall. Nothing to see here.
  13. Workman's Comp coverage for an athlete making more than $100k per game is kind of ridiculous. WC wasn't meant for application to the NFL or highly paid workers in general. Take the WC fund and use it for workers that really need to tap that fund when injured on the job . In the abstract, I actually can see where the Bengals are coming from. The WC fund is not a bottomless pool of $$. The optics of this are really bad for the team and they should have considered that, but fundamentally their position makes some sense. An NFL type workplace injury could drain the fund unnecessarily (bc the team/player has more than enough dough to pay) and the fund is designed/meant for the quadriplegic phone company worker making $20/hr with 4 kids
  14. ESO (Expensive Shiny Object) and besides, he's done.
  15. Saints are toast for the foreseeable future. Incredibly poorly run franchise. They are simply fortunate to be surrounded by similarily poorly run franchises. Brady chose well by going to the Bucs.
  16. If Breece Hall comes back in good shape, the addition of Rodgers should tighten up things in the AFC. He is way better than Favre ever was. Plus he'll be immune to the NY media as he both is smarter/snarkier than any NY media hack and makes more $ than any local NY network itself.
  17. Good for him. Guy stuck with it for years. Watch their games, he can bring it. A guy I root for.
