  1. The legend of Preston Williams around here lately. I wouldn't mind him as a receiver either, but I'm not worried about Levi Wallace right now.
  2. C+/B- I was not a fan last season so this is trending in the right direction. I'll bump him up to a B if the offense puts up another 30 this week.
  3. Completely agree that it's a strange thing to focus on which only helps the legend of Gase being a total weirdo but I kind of want to give him a sliver of credit on this one? I fully expected him to throw Darnold under the bus or start to distance himself, but he kind of did the opposite in his own sleep deprived, conspiratorial way.
  4. Interesting, thanks I didn't even know that. I feel like everybody's hoping for late season heroics but the truth is he's done less than Zay Jones this year.
  5. Maybe we need some more mystery meat, though. What is going on with Foster? Is there even a timetable for his situation? Seems that it's gotten worse throughout the year, we're entering Week 8 and the guy doesn't have a catch this season. Could be a lost year.
  6. Pettis is alright, but I don't think he'll change the dynamic much. He's firmly in that Zay Jones to Isaiah McKenzie tier where he could either help or disappear completely, I don't think he'll be much of a game breaker or provide anything different. I do think you're on to something about the AFC but unfortunately all of the interesting WR's that I think we could pull from a spiraling team are in the AFC - James Washington, Mike Williams, Robby Anderson (even though I'm not a fan) - the NFC bottom feeders are a WR wasteland right now. Maybe Taylor Gabriel if the Bears continue to suck? He had a 3 TD game this year which is something the Pettis's or Zay Jones of the world have never done. I don't know, the options may be to pay up (Evans) or go for a RB or TE, I don't really want to see them go after another 4/5 WR that doesn't do anything different.
  7. Yeah I think we're okay too, TE is such a weak position around the league this year. All numbers are down, I think Kelce has 1 TD right now? Darren Waller looks like a freak but outside of him, Knox is one of the more interesting young TE's right now and I'm cool with seeing what he could do. Could be worse, we could be trotting out Luke Willson, or Ricky Seals-Jones, or Jared Cook, or one of the numerous slow, bad TE's that have seemingly been in the league for like a decade now, at least we have some youth at the position. All that said I wouldn't hate OJ Howard. This team just needs another playmaker in general, I'm open to what position it is.
  8. I think it's a little skewed to not count his rushing stats in this 300 yard pipe dream as well. He put up 234 combined yards today, and 292 last week. He's averaging 252 or so combined yards per game this year so he's a lot closer to this ideal QB than a lot of people are giving him credit for in my opinion. Dilfer didn't put up 250+ and TDs on the ground regularly.
  9. If this is a thing right now then Kyle Shanahan is the frontrunner but McD is definitely in the rankings
  10. So Micah Hyde surveyed all options in the space time continuum and considered going for the TD at that given moment the optimal choice. Come on Doc, you know this. Yeah you're probably right, but whatever. It was awesome.
  11. Micah Hyde made that play because Micah Hyde is smarter than everybody else on the field at any given time. If he had any doubt he would have kneeled.
  12. Wow I completely forgot about Robert Foster this week until I saw this thread. Like I forgot he was even on the team, it's been so long.
  13. That is awful. Wasn't the strike against him the thought that he was largely a project freak who didn't really know what he was doing?
  14. I'm so surprised by the Chargers meltdown this year. What a mess. Everything is seriously breaking right for Buffalo. Even the Texans losing today concentrates everything in the middle a bit more. These conference wins are going to be so huge, I don't care if they "only" beat Miami by 10. I wouldn't care if they beat Miami of Ohio by 2 if it meant more conference wins in a jumbled AFC. Nobody should be surprised that Fitz put up some points in Buffalo off a bye week. I feel like every fantasy talking head and their mother was calling for at least one Devante Parker touchdown this week.
  15. Nobody ever called them all-time great... If somebody did then they're wrong, I feel like the argument has been best in the league right now. Secondary is the best in the league. Hands down. They're fantastic. Linebackers are average with potential - a healthy Milano and the Edmunds before this week are a solid future. Dline is average/above average. I love Jordan Phillips. Oliver is already beasting. I love Hughes but he's never going to get you 12 sacks. Lawson is alright, solid rotational depth. They need another serious pass rusher to put everything over the top, but this defense is average in the worst spots and top of the league in the best. It's a great defense.
  16. Did Leodis say "point-blank-blank-period"? Man was ahead of his time.
  17. Interesting. Obviously not really worried because it's the Dolphins and their strange, scattered coach seems intent on losing, but in a vacuum Fitz worries me a lot more than Rosen. Fitz is smart enough to play for himself and his next contract. Wonder if Rosen whined in the film room or something, this team is such a dumpster fire.
  18. Mean, mean man. Bet he shines even more against better competition.
  19. He's not getting sacks but he's causing chaos and finishing tackles. The sacks will come. He'll probably get a bunch one random week the way he's playing. Love the Oliver pick, and he's a great interview! Already one of my favorite Bills.
  20. Kaepernick's camp just released another statement last week about him not caring about being a starter. Some guy named Tim Boyle is a QB right now and Chase Daniel is starting games but we're worried about Kaepernick's pig socks (maybe) from three years ago. He's clearly too dumb for this highly cerebral game despite once producing 444 yards in a playoff victory, I'd rather trot out this well-behaved young man from Eastern Kentucky if my starter gets knocked out.
  21. Nah not really, I was making fun of how ridiculous it is in general, and simply because that was like three posts behind somebody who was trying to justify why Kaep is the worst of the worst. I know most people here are sane, I just like needling the pearl-clutchers.
  22. "He should NOT be allowed to play! Good heavens! Keep that monster OFF my football field!!!" Meanwhile Kareem Hunt pile drives a woman and is only like two weeks away from winning people money in DFS.
  23. Not the least bit surprised to see Paulus spazzing out in here. Chill out Paulus, before you spill your Mountain Dew all over your sweet Proud Boys polo.
  24. Only worried about Fitz. As others have mentioned he's an extreme player that probably still has enough magic/willpower/beard to launch another 400 yd game or two in his career. We've never seen anything like that out of Rosen. I'm not worried about him at all against this defense.
  25. I'm really not worried at all about losing this one, but I could see the Dolphins putting up some points, especially if Fitz sees the field. It just feels like a scenario where some Fitzmagic gets sprinkled and he finds DeVante Parker or whoever for a couple of scores. Just enough to keep it competitive. Really want to see Allen put up some points and show some domination so that any random Fitz td or two doesn't really matter.
