Shakir Training with Moulds
LyndonvilleBill replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall
People say that they brought Beasley back because McKenzie wasn't able to fill the void. Maybe they brought him back because Shakir wasn't up to par and wasn't any better than Lil Dirty in the slot.π€. Maybe he didn't earn more playing time.π€· -
I agree with trading back a few spots. Just a no trade Mock and Jones is a monster that can play both RT and LT. Jarrett is what I am calling "Diggs Jr." π
-
I think it will be a tough draft without any trades. I do think G and Saftey will be addressed outside of the draft and probably a few more than normal UDFA'S.

Don't like drafting for need just for need sake.

The thing is, it has to be an average line ranked with an average QB. Then when you have a QB like Allen, you can get away with it. Having an average OL with Allen as QB, tells me it's NOT good at all. For example, Ours.π -

Von Miller's injury, and pass rush needs this offseason
LyndonvilleBill replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Personally, I'd rather have Basham put back on the 10-20lbs he lost and play him at 3-tech and leave Groot outside. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
LyndonvilleBill replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was thinking the same thing. He doesn't want to be there, but if they pay him what he wants, he'll stick around. -
You get one player this offseasonβ¦who is it?

Draft - Zach Harrison DE/Edge Ohio St (NOT 1st rnd). FA - DJ Chark WR -
Von Miller's injury, and pass rush needs this offseason
LyndonvilleBill replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we do. I like Lawson, but he's not the answer. Then we have AJ and Basham. We need some Juice off the edge until Von is ready. Also need to keep in mind, there is an out after yr 3 for Von. Basically we have Groot and then average guys. I AM NOT saying 1st rnd... -
IMO, I still think it's too early to give up on Brown. Replace him next year if need be. Personally, I'd like at least 1 FA G (Risner maybe. On a reasonable contract. Can play both LG/RG if needed) to pair with Brown. Don't want a rookie next to Brown. At this point I think Morse will play this season (unless cut). If Morse isn't back, Id rather put a rookie in at C sandwiched between 2 vets. Move Bates back to LG Where he played well. Re-sign Ike as a backup. Draft a C (maybe Tippmann) and a G (Vorhees). Could probably also sign Hart, Quessenberry and dare I say Saffold as backups if needed.

I did read your post, hence the original reply. You asked a question and I answered it with what I thought was a very reasonable response. The same question gets asked every offseason to those of us that enjoy doing Mocks. If I hurt your feelings, I apologize as it was not my intent. But, I could also say the same about your response. You could have just given a couple of names of people you like, an opinion on the player and where you think they will fit in the draft. Instead you reply with what came across as a smarta$$ response and a link to a site most of us have probably already read before doing our Mocks. You good? We GOOD? WE ALL GOOD. Now let's get back to the Bills and discussing football.
-
They will probably change more than 2 times even after the combine. Heck, mine has changed more than twice in the last hour. You don't like mocks, that's fine. You think they are useless, OK. Some of us do enjoy doing them, sharing thoughts, opinions and discussing them. Nobody if forcing you to look at them or asking you to respond. You can always go to the We Traded Mahomes thread or Brady Retires or a hundred other ones that have nothing to do with the Bills. We all have choices.
-
Mocks before FA should take into account potential FA acquisitions or re-signing of players (at least it should) based on known FA'S available CAP space (projections), potential contracts/Re-structures and best guess scenarios. Personally, I don't watch college ball until Bowl games, so I don't know the players. I like it when people name players, then I go watch film, highlights and read up on them. "Eye test" if you will. Do some Mocks to see where people think draftees currently project. Then the combine gives some facts/measuarbles to add to the information I have already gleaned. Then more reading and information compiled between combine and draft for several more mocks.π Posting a Mock Draft on a message board generates conversation and shares opinions. Isn't that the whole meaning of being on TBD?π€

Suitable Edmunds Replacements in the draft
LyndonvilleBill replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Campbell would be my choice as well. Plus he did win the Dick Butkus award and the Campbell trophy.π https://footballfoundation.org/news/2022/12/6/football-iowa-lb-jack-campbell-awarded-nffs-33rd-william-v-campbell-trophy.aspx -
Tremaine Edmunds will test free agency
LyndonvilleBill replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, it all goes into a Trust Fund until he reaches the appropriate age.π -
Awesome!π
