How many teams can Singletary start on

6 man boxes doesn't mean much if your getting hit in the backfield. 😉 -
2023 Running Back Depth Chart: You Choose
LyndonvilleBill replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
We do. We just don't have any "Game Changers" on D and our only REAL O is Diggs and Allen. I think we are easy to gameplan against. Double Diggs and spy Allen. On D when Von was playing, Double Von. Pretty simple. I thinks we need a bigger back (later rounds) to compliment Cook on a rookie deal and a couple of "Difference Makers" i.e. WR, LB, Edge. Someone that makes the opponent have to plan for. Add an OL or two to give Allen an extra 1/2 second in the pocket and I think the whole O changes including the running game. -
Looking at our options to rebuild the o-line in 2023
LyndonvilleBill replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
FA will be key and Morse decision (I think he stays for at least one more year). Personally, I'd re-sign Ike and get a starting RG (VET ONLY). I don't want a rookie or low level starter next to Brown. Re-sign Q, Van Rotten, whoever you choose for depth I'd probably go with Q for flexibility). Then draft 1 or 2 OL. Doesn't really have to be early picks but should be able to compete for a starting position next season and one has to be OG/C combo (day 2/ early 3). Ike and Bates battle for starting LG. If Ike wins the battle you have a BU Center/ Guard. Bates wins, you have a BU guard. Bates best play is at LG or Center. LT Dawkins LG Ike/Bates C Morse RG VET ONLY RT Brown -
Would you resign Edmunds or a tackle?
LyndonvilleBill replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
At 11m, I'd sign Edmunds to a 10 yr contract. He'd be what like 25 at the end of it?😉. Seriously though, at that price I'd re-sign him. At 16-17+, I'd pass and sign a couple of OL and draft his replacement. -
Please… let’s get Lukas Van Ness !
LyndonvilleBill replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, He's a Loch 😁. I like Campbell as well. -
Looks like he played LG in 2022. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Jarrett-Patterson-OL-NotreDame
-
Really liking Campbell as a replacement for Edmunds if he isn't retained.
-
I also like Voorhees and Tippmann as options. Is there any savings on the cap hit if he retires versus being cut?
-
Personally, I think the players will be looking to get back at it. It was a tough year with all that happened. When you look at the team, would the Bengals game be different had Poyer, Hyde, White, Jones, Phillips and Miller been healthy and close to 100%? I also think Josh was playing less than 100%. As to FA'S, I would refer you to comments made by Phillips and Lawson and how happy they were to come home or Fitz and he wasn't even a current player. Ultimately, I don't think FA'S matter to the Bills as we probably won't be playing much in FA. I think McD fits well here and in Buffalo. I think Dorsey deserves at least another year, but should have someone next to him with more experience. As to Frazier, I tend to agree and wouldn't mind a change, but who? Unless it's someone more aggressive, I'm not sure I would make the change. I don't think Peyton could do any better and definitely would not give up draft picks to obtain ANY coach. We need all of our pick plus some. PS. I would have liked someone like Swartz, but he's off the table.
-
The thing is, if they re-sign Edmunds, it would probably eat up a bunch of that and if they Tag him, wouldn't it take just about all of the savings from restructuring Josh?

Singletary or Hines or neither?
LyndonvilleBill replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir? Plus a DP or they could always bring Crowder back or even Beasley if they really wanted to. -
Singletary or Hines or neither?
LyndonvilleBill replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would like both back as well and I'm sure this will shock a few, I would look at Hines as a replacement for McKenzie and not as a replacement for Singletary. 😱😱. He can run the gadget plays, can play slot if needed, can line up in the backfield, plus both KR/P returns. -
Hmmm. Tough question. If it was me and based upon current roster, I would not pull the trigger. As for OL, I think rnd 1 should be for LT'S or generational talents (i.e. Quinton Nelson). But if you forced me to take a slot wr or an OL at our current 1st, I would go OL. I would seriously and actively be looking to trade back though.
-
What I meant by reach is top of 2nd rnd guys at our pick in the first. Like Rice or Boutte and I'd like the 5th year option on them over trying to trade back and risk it. As to Flowers, Downs and Hyatt, I see them as slot guys🤔. Hyatt is the only one that might measure 6' and he has only had 1 year of production which might (imo), might cause hesitation as a 1st rnd pick. Awesome speed receivers though.
-
Not really into the big name thing much, just think an Outside WR should be a top priority. Plus the cost of them in FA is getting out of hand😱. Even if we reach a little I'd rather it be for an outside wr over any other position. Josh and Diggs need some help.

To answer your second paragraph (edited), Aj, Boogie, Lawson and Basham don't have enough juice as pash rushers as we saw when Von went out. Groot is all we have. Von probably won't be back until October/November and just as we saw with White, we tend to not rush players back from Injuries and I believe this is his 2nd acl repair on the same knee. What will we get when he returns? Von is no spring chicken and I'd like to have someone to learn from Von for a year or two and be able to rotate with Von when he does return. It was also a value choice based upon the PFF rankings and position. In all reality, I would switch Rice and Carter as I think it would be a more accurate ranking. Rice in the first and Carter in the second rnd (probably goes top though). I don't see a G, TE, S or RB as 1st rnd value for us. We already have our starting Tackles (regardless of people's opinion) on the roster. We already have our starting RB, CB'S and QB. I think the sweet spot for a C or G is in the middle rounds. I could see a MLB instead of Edge in the 2nd, but this will depend on what the outcome is with Edmunds. Bottom line (IMO), WR 1st, Edge or LB 2nd, OL 3&4, depth/ future 5+. PS. I would have taken Joe Tippmann at 139 if Patterson wasn't available. 😁

Singletary or Hines or neither?
LyndonvilleBill replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rather take a later round swing at a bigger back. Started looking at Roshon Jonhnson from Texas. Converted QB to RB freshman year. 6'2" 223. 🤔 -
Bills site says 205, so I would go with this.
-
I agree with it. Have said it multiple times myself. Then grab another late rnd CB.
-
Agree. And Hopefully to the Bills.😁
-
Yup. 😁
-
No. Same with Rice. I think Rice goes between 25 and 35. 40 at the latest. One of the reasons why I'm not a fan of PFF. I think there rankings are off. But, with a no trade Mock on PFF, I just grabbed the position and players I like that were available. Personally I think PFN is better in ranking.🤔
-
Not a fan of PFF, but gave it a shot. 27: Andre Carter Edge Army 59: Rashee Rice WR SMU 91 Andrew Vorhees OG USC 130: Jarrett Patterson OG/C Notre Dame 139: Rakim Jarrett WR Maryland 164: DJ Turner CB Michigan 205: Jack Kuntz TE Old Dominion 247: Tavion Thomas RB Utah

2023 Draft - Offensive Line discussion
LyndonvilleBill replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I seriously doubt they would put 3 rookies on the OLine. I also don't think they signed Ike while injured just to turn around and let him walk this year. Brown is still on a rookie deal and didn't get the offseason due to surgery and is just coming into his 3rd season which it typically takes for mid to late rnd O-lineman. And Doyle the same. Injury and rookie deal. On top of that, they put Bates next to Brown. I said this was a mistake from the get-go. You can't put 2 guys with minimal experience next to eachother, it's a car crash waiting to happen and that's what we got. I'm not saying don't draft oline, I just don't think having 3 rookies starting on the oline would be a wise idea. -
2023 Draft - Offensive Line discussion
LyndonvilleBill replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Put Bates back at LG where he should have been. Then either Ike at RG or a FA. No more inexperienced RG next to Brown. Have Doyle and Brown battle for the RT spot, loser is your swing. Draft a C/G and a T mid-late rounds to develop.
