  1. This has been such a bizarre year. KC lost to Indy and barely beat Den, Hou, and Titans. We lost to the Jets and barely beat Detroit & Miami in the snow. Other things too. To answer the question, I am not sure there is a juggernaut in the AFC. Teams have gotten lucky. Teams have gotten unlucky. Philly is the 1 seed. But they barely beat Chicago, Hou, Indy. Lost to Wsh. What team doesn't have flaws?
  2. Odds of Texans beating KC are not good at all. We need to take care of business ourselves in an attempt to get that one seed. Texans are not a good team.
  3. To me that's more Allen making something out of nothing. Dorsey's play calling has been..."interesting" since the bye week.
  4. Two straight road games. Home to Pats. Hopefully we aren't looking ahead to Cincinnati.
  5. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Us, KC, and Cincinnati are clearly playing the best right now. I don't think Baltimore will be a factor. Chargers are too inconsistent. Dolphins could make noise. But sometimes the best team doesn't always win. Patriots were not the best team in 2018. TB was not the best team in 2020. I don't think the Rams were last year. What happens in the RS sometimes means squat in the PO.
  6. Lots to clean up. OL is an issue. Turnovers too. I don't know how we fix the OL. Do we run more screens? We just can't make mistakes like that in the postseason against elite QB's like Mahomes.
  7. That should just about wrap up the East. If we can get the 2 seed at minimum, we could have two home games. 1 seed is preferred.
  8. Need Cincinnati to lose too. They are a very serious threat.
  9. MacKenzie's best game of the season.
  10. He has been very good tonight. No bad picks
  11. This is not a SB caliber team. #1 seed or not. Defense is pretty bad...
  12. If you take out the SB factor, Bills was impressive because Moon was an elite QB. Other guys were missing. Backup QB. PO game. Most left the stadium. Unfortunately, most pundits will probably pick 28-3 as the best comeback. It was the SB and the NFL's golden boy's finest moment. Add on the deflategate revenge stuff. Minnesota comeback can't compare because it was RS game. If they end up winning the SB, it will be looked at more fondly. Otherwise, it was a week 15 regular season game.
  13. Way too many pundits are writing Miami off here. This is not going to be a blowout imo.
  14. My biggest fear is seeing Diggs doubled, while Allen can't find an open receiver in the playoffs. Great teams will focus on Diggs. Someone else needs to step up. Otherwise, it's time to seriously consider getting a legit #2 receiver in here. Whether it's giving picks to Browns for Cooper or something else.
  15. Chiefs didn't look great today either. I bet their fans aren't in a panic. KC has looked shaky more than a few times this year. The NFL is full of parity. I mean the Texans nearly pulled off the upset of the year today. KC barely beat a wretched Denver team. Philly barely beat Hou & Indy. Minnesota lost to Detroit. Baltimore barely beat two wretched teams in a row. Phi, KC, Buffalo, Baltimore, Dallas, & Minnesota are not suddenly average teams. It's just that the best team in the league is no longer leaps and bounds more talented than the worst team. If you expect the Bills to just blowout every single opponent, no, it just won't happen. The Bills do have issues. I acknowledge that. With Allen, every year is SB or bust. The same can be said for KC, GB, and others.
  16. Raiders may very well be the toughest test remaining for KC. Especially if Raiders keep playing the way they have been. Seattle has been a surprise. But that game is in KC. If it was in Seattle it would be a different story. Texans is obviously a gimme for them. Broncos x 2 are wins. They have no offense. Looks like Raiders & Seattle are the only two possible potential losses there. We can't go no worse than 4-1 down the stretch here.
  17. I would definitely take McVay, Shanahan, Reid, & Carroll over him. Would need to think about Peterson & Payton. I mean Payton made three NFC title games in 15 years with a HOF QB. Not impressive. I wouldn't take any of the bolded guys over him. McCarthy & Tomlin? Seriously? No way.
  18. We really don't have much of a pass rush without Miller. Unsure how we get around that. If the plan is to not worry about D and hope the offense puts up 30-40 points every game--that's a recipe for disaster. Our offense has been hit or miss. Teams will double Diggs in the postseason. Who do we have to step up? Getting a legit #2 receiver and OL help needs to be a priority in the offseason. Another pass rusher too.
  19. Not easy whatsoever. Really hoping Chiefs somehow lose another game. And maybe Miami loses two more games. It would allow us to not have to be perfect. I don't think the Jets are a threat to win the division anymore.
  20. It is great to be in the 1 seed. The schedule won't be easy down the stretch though. Jets, Dolphins, and Bengals. Chiefs have: Seattle, Raiders, Denver twice, and Texans. They have the much easier schedule. That said, beating Jets & Miami would essentially win us the division.
  21. Wishful thinking on these points. Not sure how he blew the TB game. Guys were blanketed all over the field. No QB would've won that game on that day against that defense with virtually no OL. The 49ers had a great D. Mahomes played great with ten minutes left. Nearly blowing it isn't the same as blowing it. Yes he choked last year. No doubt. But every great QB has had playoff disasters at some point or another. He will likely win his second NFL MVP this year. Possible SB. Already has Pro Bowls and other MVP accolades. He's nearing (If not already there) first ballot HOF territory. Appears we are supposed to hate him as much as Brady. I get that. But like Brady, you have to acknowledge both were/are unicorns and generational type QB's. We don't like them because they are direct rivals. At least Brady was.
  22. I believe the Rams were the most balanced team in the league last year. Definitely would've been tough to beat them.
  23. Will we be getting defensive guys back from injury anytime soon? It may derail the season.
  24. Chiefs will be favored in every remaining game. I suppose one could say the Bengals will be their toughest out. But Cincinnati is very weird. They can put 40 up on a team just as easily as they can lay an egg. As for the bolded: Year 1: Raw team not expected to contend against them. Year 2: Very much a team capable of taking them out. I'm willing to bet this team beats Cincinnati and LA for the SB had the coaches done what they should've with 13 seconds left. Year 3: SB or bust. Everyone earlier this year conceided the Bills were a better team. If this staff can't beat KC in the postseason, and let's face it they are by far our biggest roadblock to a title, get a new staff in. McDermott is a very good coach. But it may take a new voice to get to the holy grail. Winning the division and beating up on average teams like the Patriots in January is no longer much of an accomplishment. It's SB or bust with an elite QB. Just like it's SB or bust every year for KC, GB, or like it was for Brady let Patriots. I have doubts about this team winning three road games to get to a SB. I think we need to win the division to have any chance. To have a great chance, we need that one seed.
  25. Whether it's fair or not, he is always going to be compared to what the guy in KC does. A QB who is (And will be) consistently in our way with respect to potential SB wins. Allen is right there with him. But J.A. needs that SB.
