Even if Baltimore loses, resting starters for two weeks would be disastrous imo. Because how many times do we see teams rest players and come out flat for the first playoff game?
-
Than Baltimore will get the two seed. And Allen's MVP chances are gone. There's no way in hell this team is resting anyone against the Jets if the two seed is still at play.
-
In the end, losses to Houston & Rams came back to haunt this team. Specifically, the Texans game.
-
His prime/HOF years were in Philadelphia. In reverse, Von isn't the 3rd or 4th best Bill at the position. His HoF legacy was built and cemented in Denver.

Most of these are correct. Allen is more talented than Jim. But 4 straight SB's is unheard of. Kelly>Allen.
-
This. The only way we win the SB is by beating great teams. For sure, we will need to beat Baltimore & KC (pending upsets) to get to the SB. Then, will need to likely beat Phi or Det. Nobody wins a SB beating cupcakes.

My take: If KC beats Pittsburgh on Wednesday…

Which might be beneficial.. Injuries can happen at any time. Resting guys too long can be disastrous. -

No. Even if the two seed is locked in stone, you can't rest guys for two straight weeks. It increases the likelihood of a first round loss. Rust is a real thing. Rest starters against NE? OK fine. -
Absolutely. Few things are against Lamar: Allen beating KC/Detroit The AFC title game And the reverse last year where Allen had better stats but LJ was a one seed. All Allen needs to do is ball out against a Jets team not playing for anything.
-
Voters will look at it differently. Allen needs one more big game imo. The hope is the team rebounds from the uninspired game yesterday and blows the Jets out. They can rest starters in week 18.

If Lamar wins Wednesday & Allen struggles against the Jets, Lamar will likely win MVP. You can't ignore one guy playing well against two playoff teams while the other struggles against two bottom feeders. The Detroit game will be a distant memory. As a Bills fan, and being objective, I'd vote for Lamar in that case. If Lamar loses Wednesday, they still need to play starters against the Jets. You can't be resting guys for two straight weeks before the postseason begins. That's historically how one seeds would get upset. Speaking of Lamar losing Wednesday, that might wrap up the MVP race if Allen plays well against the Jets. Bottom line is no matter what, we can't have backups playing the entire game against the Jets. Too much rust. Teams who win three SB's in a 5 year span will get the benefit of the doubt compared to a team that hasn't even come close to making the SB.

It looked like there was a letdown after the Detroit game. And they overlooked New England tbh. It happens. Lesson learned. It needs to be full throttle against the Jets. A) Get back momentum B) Get Allen the MVP
-
The HC is awful. They have zero weapons. Their defense has collapsed. Drafts are terrible. That's tough to overcome for the best QB ever. Let alone a kid headed into year 2.
-
Both would be good too

Allen winning mvp helps his hof case
-
Yeah but we can't rest two straight weeks. We need to play everyone against the Jets. Can't go into the postseason rusty.
-
Chances are much greater that Allen wins the MVP vs the Bills winning the SB. Allen is our QB and I want him to win MVP. It's long overdue.
-
They shouldn't rest starters even if KC wins. They still need to beat the Jets to ensure the 2nd seed is theirs.
-
He needs an awesome game against the Jets. Thing is, the Jets have more talent than NE
-
Now the MVP race gets very interesting. I'm assuming the starters play against the Jets. Need a big Allen game.
