  1. I haven’t heard of that being an issue either. It shouldn’t become one IMO. I can tell people if there are questions but I don’t force anything. How does anyone make someone believe in something? They can’t! It’s an individual choice. It also shouldn’t become the reason a person has a job. Peterman clearly wasn’t ready for the NFL. He probably will never be. I am sure it did become divisive! But that’s nothing I haven’t seen or experienced before. Jesus either gives one hope or is totally insulting!
  2. This is more than you bargained for I’m sure. When you say “ good guy” that can be defined a million ways because it depends on individual perception! One man thinks one way ,another may or may not. Even faith can be defined differently depending on what or who you have faith in. Faith is generally taken as being religious by most people. Which is wrongly associated with being a good person. In fact every faith in the world with the exception of faith in Jesus Christ is how man can do good things or live a good life to get to heaven. Jesus CLEARLY said that NO man can be good enough to be worthy of God. That the only way to God is faith in him. Not by doing the good things that are good in man’s eyes. Basically in accepting Christ, His righteousness will cover the person that has faith in Him! Another words is you get to heaven by Him not yourself!! What does this have to do with Peterman? I don’t know what he has faith in. I don’t know about McDermott and Beane either. Simply saying you know God and doing good things doesn’t cut it. When a person makes a profession of faith in Christ they are called to live a life that is in His example. Impossible to do completely because we are still not perfect. But in most cases the change is dramatic! I’ve seen it and lived it. But I’m still not perfect or worthy. Peterman lives out his faith at least as far as I can tell. So does McDermott and I do think that it does matter to him some in as far as character goes. For true believers they do try to follow Christ at least generally but I’ve unfortunately seen some exceptions AND have unfortunately done some myself. But I’m still covered. Even though I don’t deserve it! Is this the way to build a team? It’s McDermotts way to some extent. I would say that Petermans individual choice does not make him a good guy to the world but his faith if in Christ does make him one to God. A true Christian doesn’t consider themselves to be a good guy only forgiven! I don’t think there is a bias toward Christians. True followers are usually ridiculed. Usually there are one of two reactions. Disgust or total apathy! Just check out the comments concerning Tebow. He does clearly claim Christ! This is way more than you wanted but it’s the only way to explain why being a good guy doesn’t mean much. Anyway as I’m typing this I got the notification that Peterman has been released! So maybe your dilemma is over
  3. Nice write up. They came to play and the defense was stellar! Missed a couple of big plays that could have swung the momentum but they were great to watch! Loving the direction of this defense. They look to be a beast for years to come once the young players develop and more are added. Looked to me that Edmunds came in with his head down on that concussion hit. Only saw the replay once but that’s what it looked like to me! Hope it’s not a recurring problem!! Do you think we win that game with Josh Allen at Qb?? Can’t answer with certainty; just asking for your thoughts? Hof.ers take time. I don’t know that you can identify that in their first 2 years. White and Edmunds have elite talent at least so far. This defense isn’t as good as its going to be!!
  4. This hypocrisy isn’t changing until Brady retires and the dynasty crumbles. It can’t go on forever! I just hope that we are ready to takeover as the next dynasty. These kids we have brought in the last two seasons have me optimistic!
  5. Yeah probably true. Wish we still had him but unfortunately the Qb position is the same!
  6. White is tough in the open field. They got the matchup they wanted! Edmunds probably still makes that play.
  7. Don’t know how good Zay will be yet but it was a mistake letting Woods get away. Good all around receiver!
  8. I’m still supporting Mcbeane at this point. I realize now that this is going to be a 3-5 year rebuild and we are 1-1/2 years in! What else are you supposed to do with the cap? Dareus contract was excessively bloated on an undependable player that wasn’t in any way a quality leader on or off the field. Watkins was admittedly underperforming! This defense is very good right now, but young in some key areas! The arrow is definitely pointing up! Offense is a rebuild. I look at Benjamin and McCoy as short term bridges that will not be here long! Allen has potential but like all the other rookies in his class are not a sure thing. And they are still looking IMO for that OC that they can turn the reins of the offense over to. Has the culture changed? Definitely in the areas of work ethic and what’s expected. Someone mentioned the insistence on a fundamental Christian locker room! It does seem to be that way. The Super Bowl champions of last year have very faith based team or at least from what I’ve heard. I don’t know if it hurt things for them. This draft will be big as will the next. We need key players on offense. The loss of Kyle Williams and Alexander to a lesser degree because he hasn’t been here his whole career, will be key to replacing as far as leadership! Im going to give the benefit of the doubt for at least 2 more years cause I don’t see us really having any choice unless you want to start all over with a new regime.
  9. The only thing I have seen is that smart QBs have been able to manipulate him in pass coverage when they play zone. He is just young but, so far I’m impressed with his overall game!!
  10. Awesome, they will be in my favorite colors!!! Go Bills!!!
  11. Normally I would laugh at this but if you make it 9 wrs and a tight end I’m on board!
  12. IMO you need culture and talent! But culture first as you build a team! You also need some great talent as leaders who believe in a certain culture. Especially at Qb. As you add players probably young draft picks they are immersed into that culture as a “this is the way to do things” belief! I think we have that culture but are just really starting to add the young talent. Hate to say it but it’s going to take awhile! If you consider the last 2years of draft picks: White, Milano, Edmunds, Allen, Johnson, Phillips and Dawkins. All show big upsides so the future is bright if Mcbeane can hang on long enough till the changes start to pay off and/or Brady retires! Cause that will change the division in a hurry!
  13. No. To deliver a pizza you need to hang on to it first.
  14. I would be in on getting Carr. The wideouts looked some better today because Anderson was not hesitating like Allen on throws. But Josh is young like Edmunds and he has to trust what he sees and learn from the mistakes! Anderson doesn’t! We made mistakes at key times today and we need playmakers other than Shady!
  15. They did create a lot of it themselves. Mainly Dareus! But his jettison along with Watkins was coming sooner or later! Watkins admitted later that he wasn’t totally committed to the game and we all know what a sad state that Dareus had become. Why keep them to avoid dead money and have their influence on the team? Mcd. knew what this season would be like, I guess I thought so too, just didn’t want to believe it!
  16. I don’t get what’s up with Clay either. Maybe we will see tomorrow, Anderson should be able to get him the ball if he’s open. It could be very telling of Allen if Clay does get going. Benjamin too although I have had the feeling he has been playing hurt!
  17. At least he seems to be catching the ball better. But yeah that is cool. Wish I do that!
  18. 1. When they drafted Bruce Smith 2. I was a Steeler fan as a kid mostly because I couldn’t stand and still can’t stand the Cowboys. The Bills ARE western NY!! I could relate to them and having an all time great in Bruce Smith and others like Kelly and Thurman was very exciting! 3. Hard to pick just one. Certainly the Comeback , Raider playoff game and anytime we can beat Brady!
  19. I was at that game! What I remember most was getting up to leave after the end. As I slowly walked behind the crowd leaving the stands I passed a guy that was still seated on the end of a row. A total stranger! We looked at each other and at exactly the same time we both shook our heads in total disgust at what we had just witnessed. At the sick joke of a team that we were! At least things aren’t that bad!!
  20. Daboll is at least part of the problem! Lack of talent and a rookie QB with no veteran to help is also part of it. Anderson just got here. I realize that Daboll is still trying to figure out how to use Allen the best, but that doesn’t always mean we have to force Josh to throw 40+ times a game. The Green Bay game was a game that IMO Daboll missed on the game plan! Pettine’s defense are known for pressure from exotic blitzes and great success against rookie QBs! They also are weak between the tackles! You attack them down the middle. We even have a back that can do it. Ivory is a very physical back! Why Daboll didn’t push the run more I don’t understand. He seemed to realize that against the Titans! I’m willing to give him more time to figure out his players and how to use them. He better hurry as far as this season is concerned!
  21. Lol. It happens to every team at least some. Mason Crosby missing 5 field goals in one game. Never would have thought that possible!
  22. Yeah I hear that! Right now with this offense and a young QB that’s probably how we will win most games that we do. Mcd knows how to motivate and read his team. He also knows that a team needs to win at the LOS. Some coaches think it’s all skill positions. Actually it’s both! What it boils down to I think is that Mcd will need a talented , innovative OC to have a good offense and a GM to bring in talent. IMO Beane has done a good job so far of breaking down this team, managing the cap and bringing in young talent in the draft. Free agents has been a mixed bag, but no GM has a great record of that except maybe Belichick. Because of Tom Brady! Mcd is a good coach and seems to be improving! Things will look different in another year or so, but it’s hard to be patient after all the futility this fan base has been thru!!
  23. Mcd certainly hasn’t lost the locker room! He got the team to go out and control the LOS on both sides of the ball.
