  1. I wouldn't exactly call scoring 3 points in the Playoffs, then being traded to the worst team in the NFL a success. I wouldn't call it a complete failure either. Tyrod instead of still being a backup, got to start for a borderline playoff team. Then on his last year with that team, the cards played out to actually favor the Bills and they crawled into the Playoffs making him look interesting to a few teams so he could continue on. The Bills pulled a 3rd rounder and snuck into the Playoffs and that was a win. It wasn't being successful because we are now in transition from it. If Tyrod had a successful year with Bills they wouldn't of traded him. Tyrod can have flashes of being good. I think he actually can win some games for you. I also think he can manage a stalled out offensive games and do nothing to win it for you. I seen that at least a few times last season. I think Tyrod can win some games for the Browns. I also think if other teams defensive plans get in his head he will run some stalled out games.
  2. That move would cut me deep. I give Nick Foles a ton of credit in the "what if" department for coming in off the bench and getting Superbowl MVP. I'm not even saying it would be a bad move. I just love Tre White.
  3. I voted Josh McCown because we can McCrown him McTouchdown if he has some sort of miracle year. If not we call him Captain McCheckdown. We already have nicknames. McDermott needs McCown so they can go to McDonald's
  4. From what I've seen on these boards is this off-season has a decent amount of choices of QBs in free agency and in the draft. I have no real preference I just hope they work some magic.
  5. I agree. I definitely think he has motivation to win. The NFL don't last long if you can't find yourself in the right situation. If he goes to a team next year and struggles it's kind of a step out the door for him. I agree the smart play is to a team you feel you can win. I just think if the Jets wanted to pay him like he already wins that might be a different story. In the long run the Jets are not the worst team in the world to go to if the money was right. I love the speculation and we will see soon enough how it plays out. Crazy off-season we are having.
  6. *Ok looking into my crystal ball* This year's QB class is scaring teams away from it. It means this year's class will mostly bust.
  7. The real problem was you went into the future in your head. In that place Fire Daboll threads raged 100 pages long. A place that after a terrible offensive season people had a little justification for venting on Daboll. It could be the future but it's kind of awkward right know because most people are in the wait and see camp because that card is played and not played out. I might one day feel the same as you. If it's very terrible offensive season. This is the truth. Regardless of this guy's resume and who he is he is walking into a tougher situation. The team was kinda broken offensively. If he turns it completely around in one season season people will be calling him Genius. My expectations are kinda low as for how fast I expect a turn around but my expectations for Daboll are high being the second try for OC. Now you have had time this should be the guy who does turn it around. So as far as Daboll goes if he turns out not to be the guy then I would agree that makes them look very bad. This is your second try at OC so I want to trend up two years and be competitive in the second year or it's all a bust. I think we should all have high expectations of Daboll in a two year window.
  8. I hope that he doesn't go to the Jets unless it doesn't help them. Money changes everything if it's enough. Even a dude with dreams of winning will go to a place he won't win if it is significantly more money. If you think about it. Isn't this all over money in the first place? Keeps getting tagged because they can't reach $$$ terms. I understand wanting to win. That allows you to live in the NFL longer be known maybe be a guy on television speculating after you retire. Then comes money. If he were to get paid like a serious QB it wouldn't be as much about winning because he reached that final payday after his time in trying to win. He came in a late round dude. He doesn't want to sink out on a team that isn't any good I am sure. I believe that. I just think in the end the money will win if for certain it's available. He doesn't think he had longevity in Washington so I'll go to a place I can win unless some one wanted to pay me seriously. He offered that option to Washington they declined. I think it's more on the Jets. Just because they have that money means they want to just throw it around. They know the dude wants his. It's an investment and every investment is a risk.
  9. They came from the same team. He could been on the phone with Beane with future plans even back when he was interviewing. I'm not saying secret GM levels but you know maybe some guidance. Like two friends having conversations on what if you were GM what would you do type stuff.
  10. I'll just leave this for a thought. The Eagles got far with Wentz no doubt. They ended the run and finished in the big show with a back up QB. So that had to be a team and system effort. The drop in QB play didn't effect the end result. I think that problem will be solved for the Bills soon. I just have a feeling HC trust his OC. He needs to find his other half. Hopefully it is Daboll. I think we got lucky with Brandon Beane. He might of been a runner up in South Carolina. Type of guy that's on his way up but people still just leeching his talent till he ends up in a place he gets authority and really break out.
  11. I'm looking into my crystal ball. It says the Browns sell #1 and the Giants sell #2. Browns suck and they know it. They took Tyrod for a 3rd round pick. They are in full panic mode. They actually really wanna be us. That #1 is ours already. They don't believe they will pick the right QB anyway because they suck. So at least they can pick a QB at #4 with even more draft capital.
  12. I figured Gaines was good because it seemed like when he was injured it left plays open to be made. I feel like he's worth something but I couldn't price it. I wouldn't want to see him injured but man it's the NFL and it happens. If I figured he was very injury prone then I have to factor it in. That's the problem. I wouldn't have any idea if he would miss a few stretches of games or not next year. Yea your good and your worth money to me but I need you conditioned to be more durable. Tre White is a rookie. He took a shot to the head by Gronk. I love Tre White. Tre White intercepted Tom Brady. I like Gaines though but my jersey is Tre White when I get one. I do hope we keep Gaines. I respect his work last year. The defense kept it very exciting for me last year. I think for the most part that side of the ball held up nicely. Only if they could scoop those turnovers and take it to the house. Teach the defense to score I guess.....
  13. My only issue with the moon landing was that we have not gone back. It doesn't make sense you can land on the moon and never go back. You can't tell me the end goal of all that was land a ship on the moon. You go to conquer not visit for giggles. Same issue I have with Pyramids. They last that long and nothing we can build will last as long as the Pyramids. I don't think currently we could build a pyramid that accurate today we sure have not done it. So for me it can only be two things. They either lied about going to the moon or they are still going secretly. I'll be honest. I read a lot about conspiracy theory even Flat Earth. Although real conspiracy theorist hate being identified with flat Earth. They hate it. I usually keep the stuff to myself because it's fringe. It reminds me of religion and politics and people can get offended if I'm trying to red pill people. Oh and Flat Earth if you actually get into the meaty bits there is some neat stuff. Not saying it proves flat Earth but some parts of it are still interesting. Geno probably found some parts interesting and made the mistake of backing the entire theory. I've seen the stuff I've read about years ago just starting to pop up in mainstream last few years. Kinda surprised by it. One last thing. Conspiracy Theories are mostly based on stuff that is difficult to prove. The really good information isn't on the surface. You have to dig through a lot of nonsense to find the real gems.
  14. I'll reserve my judgement on Daboll for now. I took into consideration people's thoughts on his resume and I won't argue that it could be better. I would have taken a more proven guy but sometimes you take a shot on a lesser known. My expectations for the offense is low next season. I don't think it's because of Daboll either. It just looked very bad at times last season. I'm giving Daboll a pass next season. I hope he can be a miracle worker and turn everything around in his first season as the OC for the Bills.
  15. I think you leave it open to a competition. Unless you pour a lot of funds into that vet QB. Don't spend big on a vet QB if you think he can't win a competition over Peterman and a Rookie.
  16. I only meant it's hard to feel convinced about it being the Bills because I don't have a proper understanding what value we have compared to other potential buyers. Haha.
  17. I don't feel convinced just yet, I'm close. I would have also been against a trade up at first when it sounded weaker. I'm convinced the Browns would trade if stating it publicly or at least want to listen to offers. That feels pretty solid. Then you get the Giants signaling they are not going in the direction of the QB. They also at least have the option to look at offers. Then it's like two teams jump into the first and second round in this draft and draft QBs. The part I need convincing more on is the chances the Bills have the ammo to actually get to #1 or #2 over other teams. The Browns and Giants know that #1 and #2 spot are the big trade up spots for QB. If your not taking one at the very least your listening to the offers. How it all matches up time will tell but it is good feelings right now.
  18. I like the wild speculating. Obviously I understand the draft will reveal itself when it happens. I also understand that I won't really know if the picks are good until we get to see them in games. I believe in what's going on with the Bills. I like to check in on what people think of the new developments. I understand what you mean but people are gonna speculate and that makes good reading sometimes for me.
  19. Well people got me pumped up reading about it so I started dreaming about it and it hurt my feelings as well. I would love if the Browns we're actually scared of the first round pick they have. The idea that they might realize that even if they take a QB at #1 the team is so bad that even the best QB will bust unless... Flip the switch. If you trade that #1 and the Giants really don't go QB in the draft you are still very good at #4 pick loaded with even more ammo. Build up around #1 with all the ammo they have or... build up around #4 with even more to build around him this year and the next. That might be the mindset when they announced being open to trade. It's basically giving up first choice at QB in the draft and getting paid large. It might be something I would do if I still had #4 pick. I hope that's the Browns plan. I don't know about draft pick value well but I hope ours being right next to each other in the first round might be interesting to the Browns along with whatever the Bills could scrape up to make it a done deal.
  20. Well it could make things more interesting if it happened. I was already liking how open everything was looking so far so throwing this in could open things up more. A lot of options out there. The Bills should trend up man.
  21. The bolded is because I think that might be a slight underestimation of what some one will move on from if they can make money at it. I agree with everything you said and it was informative. I really don't have a complete understanding of the situation honestly. I don't doubt it would cut down on it. I just will never doubt what a person would do when money is involved. The only reason I say this is because what I love and hate most about people is what they can accomplish when motivated strongly by something.
  22. I would myself probably would want to live closer then 200 miles if I ever got season tickets. Not saying anything about the policy being fair or not.
  23. The Bills are trading to #1 and it's already locked in with the browns and yes we are paying a crazy sum. I don't know how much or what it is. The reason is the Browns understand they suck so it's better to just take a QB at 4 have even more ammo to build a team this year. They also know Giants are going to not go QB and potentially could scoop our picks for #2. That gave us a little better leverage. They also know a better QB might be at 4 because of that. Both teams love are picks. We can actually trade with either team but the Browns won. I will not reveal my sources!!! All kidding aside that would be cool man if it was real. Or is it???!?!! :Ninja:
  24. I agree with this. The big boy move is get to the 1st or 2nd pick. You want the best odds if your gonna reach so you might as well go all in. That would be my mindset in that situation anyway. I would view a Bills trade up to the 2nd pick epic in this draft. If they moved to the 1st pick I would view that as legendary. At least with either I know the Bills are not joking around.
  25. I agree with the bolded and am glad to see the team getting things in order. At first I thought a trade up wasn't very likely. Then the Browns said they are open to trade. Then the Giants say they are good at QB. At the very least things are looking more open and there might be opportunity. So I wouldn't argue that they are hoping to trade up if things are really open for them. I just hope if they really do burn that draft capital that it one day pays off. Also if they trade up I would rather have them go all in and get tops. Trade up big or go home. It's easy for me to like McDermott. I do think he got the best from the team he inherited. I trust the moves he made. Also I think the guy is more aggressive then some people might give him credit for.
