  1. I love the GM and HC. I just thought that if I had to sit through a year of Mr. Peanut or 5 pick Peterman playing in a new system under an unproven OC that the consolation prize would be a high drafted QB. That way if the offence crashes and burns under the Bengals backup at least I have a hope in that last ace up the sleeve. I'm not all gloom and doom and it isn't over yet but that Jets jump to #3 kinda hurt my hopes to have that Ace up the sleeve.
  2. Well that kinda puts a damper on my impression of the Bills going big for a QB in this draft. I'm not doom and gloom but man it felt like a punch to the face reading that.
  3. We are all part of a never ending story. P.s. People seriously ruined this thread.
  4. If it makes you feel better I have never posted my own topic on this board. Think about all the stupid stuff I think that you never had to read in an original topic.
  5. Ok so it's a battle between the Bengals backup that signed for peanuts. 5 pick Peterman and some one that hasn't been drafted yet. This should get interesting! I'm still very much on board the plan but the team is leaning very hard on that drafted QB being really good. At least that is the way it looks, like they all in on a drafted QB.
  6. I just say this. I don't follow college ball. I have no clue who will be good. This message board is not liking Allen. At least the majority voice not wanting him. This board favors Rosen big time.

  8. They gave up a 3rd rounder and already named him starter. He is plan A for QB next season and they are indeed rolling with him.
  9. 1) The fans including myself needed to move on. That doesn't represent the teams feelings. Plenty of room to speculate still. Sure the Bills may have felt desperate to move on or maybe they made what they felt was a lateral move and getting a 3rd for it. 2) The GM obviously believes he can get more out of Tyrod then the Bills did. I don't think he can but time will tell. 3) That is a good point I can't argue with that. Thank you for saying this. I've seen a lot of talk of talk about how good the Browns are and will be when they had a winless year. I'm not saying it isn't possible but man that is a huge leap to think the Browns will all the sudden go from winless to very good.
  10. I'm on board with you line of thinking. The Browns said they are open to trade. They have traded out in the past. The browns on the Tyrod train right now. They actually want to be us. I think they are more interested in what they can do next season then picking a guy that will flame out anyway because the Brown suck. I think they plan to build around Tyrod and push to win 6 games next season. The Browns want to win now I imagine. A 3rd for Tyrod is panic mode for making a difference next season. Don't let responses rattle you. Your talking to the QB is life crowd so anything other then QB is blasphemy.
  11. Sure I understand nothing is certain. You go sky diving it isn't certain your parachute will open. Yet there you are on the plane with the gear on and you look ready to jump.
  12. I just have this strange feeling that the Bills didn't trade up to #12 to pick at #12. Like they intend to move up as far as they can in the draft to select a QB. I know it sounds dumb but I think the Bills are not done moving up yet.
  13. I was thinking that if he couldn't hold down a gig for the Raiders then he probably was done in the NFL. Time will tell.
  14. I understand what your saying. Tyrod has a potential to win games and he did. He also had a potential to play it safe with 3 points on the board until the end of the game. Tyrod also landed on what most might agree is one of the worst teams in the NFL right now. I'm not bashing Tyrod. I'm not bashing the Browns. I just wouldn't put a whole lot of stock that Tyrod gets them into a 500 range. Although I do plan on keeping track of how he does with the Browns. It will be very sad if a winless team can get production out of a QB that a borderline playoff team couldn't get when they finally did sneak in.
  15. Not really surprised by this. I figured that was the plan when they traded for him. I was kinda expecting him to be a starter.
  16. I would think if it was going to happen it would have by now. So I guess since it hasn't happened it probably won't. So using logic it's probably best to let this one go.
  17. I think it makes sense and I like it. We need some one to play QB until the drafted QB is ready.
  18. I'm really starting to admire Brandon Beane. I really like his work so far and it's really building up into something nice. I'm looking forward to the outcome. He got himself into better position using pieces that didn't factor much, it was a job well done. Now let's see if he can finish the draft strong and land that franchise QB.
  19. I wouldn't exactly call scoring 3 points in the Playoffs, then being traded to the worst team in the NFL a success. I wouldn't call it a complete failure either. Tyrod instead of still being a backup, got to start for a borderline playoff team. Then on his last year with that team, the cards played out to actually favor the Bills and they crawled into the Playoffs making him look interesting to a few teams so he could continue on. The Bills pulled a 3rd rounder and snuck into the Playoffs and that was a win. It wasn't being successful because we are now in transition from it. If Tyrod had a successful year with Bills they wouldn't of traded him. Tyrod can have flashes of being good. I think he actually can win some games for you. I also think he can manage a stalled out offensive games and do nothing to win it for you. I seen that at least a few times last season. I think Tyrod can win some games for the Browns. I also think if other teams defensive plans get in his head he will run some stalled out games.
  20. That move would cut me deep. I give Nick Foles a ton of credit in the "what if" department for coming in off the bench and getting Superbowl MVP. I'm not even saying it would be a bad move. I just love Tre White.
  21. I voted Josh McCown because we can McCrown him McTouchdown if he has some sort of miracle year. If not we call him Captain McCheckdown. We already have nicknames. McDermott needs McCown so they can go to McDonald's
  22. From what I've seen on these boards is this off-season has a decent amount of choices of QBs in free agency and in the draft. I have no real preference I just hope they work some magic.
  23. I agree. I definitely think he has motivation to win. The NFL don't last long if you can't find yourself in the right situation. If he goes to a team next year and struggles it's kind of a step out the door for him. I agree the smart play is to a team you feel you can win. I just think if the Jets wanted to pay him like he already wins that might be a different story. In the long run the Jets are not the worst team in the world to go to if the money was right. I love the speculation and we will see soon enough how it plays out. Crazy off-season we are having.
  24. *Ok looking into my crystal ball* This year's QB class is scaring teams away from it. It means this year's class will mostly bust.
  25. The real problem was you went into the future in your head. In that place Fire Daboll threads raged 100 pages long. A place that after a terrible offensive season people had a little justification for venting on Daboll. It could be the future but it's kind of awkward right know because most people are in the wait and see camp because that card is played and not played out. I might one day feel the same as you. If it's very terrible offensive season. This is the truth. Regardless of this guy's resume and who he is he is walking into a tougher situation. The team was kinda broken offensively. If he turns it completely around in one season season people will be calling him Genius. My expectations are kinda low as for how fast I expect a turn around but my expectations for Daboll are high being the second try for OC. Now you have had time this should be the guy who does turn it around. So as far as Daboll goes if he turns out not to be the guy then I would agree that makes them look very bad. This is your second try at OC so I want to trend up two years and be competitive in the second year or it's all a bust. I think we should all have high expectations of Daboll in a two year window.
