Dead man walking.

Thanks for the 3 points playoff performance. It was special. Good luck starting for the worst team in football. Hopefully you don't get benched for a rookie two years in a row. I bet your sure glad you had a chance to come back after being benched to show one last time your a true choke artist. You were the best back up QB to ever grace us as a starter and kept my 500 team at 500. Thank you.

Our entire draft depends on the Giants pick

Let the chips fall where they may. This GM is straight from the Matrix. I'm not that worried. -
Is there a rush to judgement on Peterman?
Lfod replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman wasn't ready. He couldn't last a full game. He was thrown in early on his first year on an offence that wasn't being productive with Tyrod. The guy wasn't given a chance to be successful. He was thrown in the dumpster fire. I'm still glad we did it. Had to see what the kid had. Nothing much else was going on so why not. He did make a few good throws on a mostly terrible offensive side of the ball. He made a few rookie mistakes. Time will tell. It's not like the Bills have an answer yet. -
Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want home brew in Buffalo. The way to know you have the best product is to brew it yourself. If you can't develop young talented QB to be successful you will always be looking elsewhere. It's not about the cost of moving up, if you can develop the guy you select to be successful. I agree with most here it's a crapshoot. You might draft a superior talent when getting a higher pick. I am in favor of that. Move up if you have to. Just be able to develop the picks you make and that is the real test. -
Only post if you want to wish zay the best. Get well.

Zay Jones if your reading this I hope you bounce back from whatever it is that your going through. I can't say that I understand what is going on. I can say I know what it is to have a bad day and carry a few serious regrets with me. Man up. Brush it off. You have gotten to far to throw it all away. Go back to that place you used to play ball with your brother when you were a kid and be a kid again like you are in a movie. It's act three now my man you got to get it together now and overcome all this. Always remember bud, if the cost of something is more then your willing to pay you can always walk away. -
This is the reason I felt so critical of the situation. Very bad timing for that situation. Now it's out in the open for everyone to see and speculate on. Really wish the situation didn't get that out of control. Zay really could be under serious pressure that I couldn't understand. People can have bad days. People can get better. It's just that your in the NFL and your business is aired out. Now you have that not so great first year and this incident. Thats two points against you.

Yea it's easy to say that a person could just ask for help. I know it doesn't work like that. A lot of people cannot just carry the weight of a persons problems along with thier own. Sometimes people are not even really aware until it is already to late. I know the feeling of wanting to be understood and not being heard. It does have a possibility to push you over the edge.
-
I don't think we disagree. In fact I understand completely your position. I also wouldn't judge what he did as wrong if he seriously has a mental illness that impaired him from preventing himself from an episode like that. If that is the situation then it's sad that no one in the support system could identity that he might of needed help before letting a situation elevate to a point of arrest.
-
It isn't the cause for every outburst that every person ever had. Not saying it isn't a factor for such an outburst from a person. I just don't always give everyone the benefit of doubt. I also think sometimes people do stupid things. I don't know Zay or his history of mental illness. I'm not a doctor I don't know what he has been diagnosed or prescribed as far as medication. If I knew that in the past he has sought help and tried to overcome or struggle with mental instability then I would say he had a mayjor setback and maybe he should readjust the level of help he is getting. Since I don't know anything I can also think he may just be a normal guy doing a stupid thing.

You could probably say that about Zay Jones for getting arrested for vandalism and making a huge embarrassment out of himself. Everyone's got excuses.
-
You can function in society or you can't. Plenty of people have issues that don't try to jump out windows. They make padded cells for people that can't maintain and it isn't that hard. I walk by people every day dealing with thier own struggle but maintain.
-
Well that is definitely a bad situation he put himself in. What a huge embarrassment for him. That situation has the look and feel of some one that might not have the right priorities in life.

I wanted to move on from Tyrod. I'm not sold right now on who they replaced him with. Sure AJ can come out of the woodwork and light it up. I'll drink to that. I'll be roaring. I'm just not very confident right now about it honestly. I want to drink the cool aid. New OC and new QB, going on that alone it feels very unknown and unproven. Thank god for Shady Mcoy! So honestly it has the look of spinning wheels to me. That is what has me yearning for a trade up. Put something on the back burner to sizzle while the GM fixes the situation he inherited. If the GM of the Bills serves me up a #1 or #2 in this draft at any cost I will be with holding my criticisms next season almost completely. It sounds stupid and that's because it is. You won't land every blow in a fight but I want this GM to swing anyway. Stop with the cast off from another team. I want home brew in Buffalo. I want a QB to start his career here and be successful. I will end it on a positive note. I do trust the process. I drank the cool aid as far as the HC and GM. I don't expect them to build Rome in a day. They totally have over achieved already. It just might not show immediately. I can see it making sense the season after next. They had a fire sale last year and still made the playoffs. Then sold Tyrod for a #3. These guy's are completely Genius.

Anything to make the offensive side of the ball better I am in favor of. That stuff last year was hard to sit through.
-
I came in with an intention to roast a little. Then I read the OP and it wasn't what my impression of it was going to be. I just get a little annoyed by people say opinion as fact. Especially when it's a sentence. Honestly and truthfully I take people more seriously when they come off that high horse. Even if I disagree with a person I will take it into consideration more then anybody giving me one sentence stated as absolutely fact.

I'm just curious but has anybody ever had a lot of hits in a mock draft? I see them around but really only interested to see mocks by people who actually are good at it.

Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
Lfod replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it involves more details then just how good he is honestly. I wouldn't say my expectations feel low just because of him or how I think he plays. His new OC Daboll is in his first season with the Bills. How he performs as an OC and the system that he puts in place could be a factor. A lot on the offensive side of the ball is still unproven. Like including Zay Jones. The offensive unit wasn't stellar last year, a big reason the offence is transferring to a new scheme. So it's not like he's walking into a strong foundation. I'm not Lazer focused on just one guy. I'm kinda estimating based on the overall larger picture. -
Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
Lfod replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My expectations are low right now. A backup QB signed for peanuts playing for a new OC and system. It's looking more like a snowballs chance then an honest chance but the guy has every opportunity to remove doubts my about him. None of you can do that for him right now. It has to be done on the field. -
Beane & Co. too Conservative in their Trade Offers? (Opinion)
Lfod replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess they figure they will keep throwing stuff at the wall until something sticks. It looks stupid and probably is. If any one of them works out people will be on here praising the Jets being so bold at the most important position in football yadda yadda ECT ECT. Hopefully in time we are all here yucking it up about how stupid the Jets look. A lot of premature judgement. Have to see the results of moves before I become critical. -
Exactly. I'm keeping an open to a possibility of him really making a name for himself as a Bill, but man until he does this is my expectation of him. To be average. I'm surprised people are propping him up so hard. I hope they are right. I did the hope on Tyrod thing for a few years. I got no energy left for hoping on backup QBs. I'm gonna let this guy's first 5 games make up my mind. The last thing I want is this guy making me miss Tyrod.
-
You are right about this. I don't have high expectations for a Bengals backup that signed for peanuts but I am open minded. Prove me wrong AJ.
