  1. Yes to the RB and I'm really wanting a good quality backup QB in the draft since Beane is filling the holes.
  2. But...but....but I thought nobody wants to come to Buffalo! Those days seem to be over LOL.
  3. I was just thinking of that! There are going to be teams wanting those "leftovers".
  4. Sure, every team is always looking for CBs but I don't think we'll see one taken in the 2nd or 3rd. That will be used for a greater need IMO.
  5. Say what you will about Goodell but he is a marketing genius. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2882947-nfl-planning-to-use-2020-draft-for-charity-toward-covid-19-pandemic-relief The NFL is reportedly planning to use April's NFL draft as a means of bolstering charitable efforts to help those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, more details will be revealed in the coming weeks, but the league's primary goal is to increase COVID-19 relief funds. Despite the fact the coronavirus outbreak has prevented teams from meeting with draft prospects and carrying out physicals, the NFL is moving forward with the 2020 draft, which will take place April 23-25. It was originally scheduled to be held in front of thousands of fans in Las Vegas, but draft festivities were canceled as a result of COVID-19. The NFL has yet to announce how the draft will be presented on television.
  6. Yes to bolded. Bills currently have 68 players signed with only 11 backfield players. There will be a lot more going to camp. Simple because there is 90 roster spots to fill.
  7. BB needs 56 more regular season wins to be all time HC in wins. Is that what people think he is going for? He's 68 and would need at least another 5-6 seasons to get that (maybe more if he goes into a complete rebuild). I can't see him coaching at 74. If he doesn't luck into a QB (like he did last time) by next year he will hang it up IMO. I am shocked he hasn't named his kid DC yet.
  8. Personally I think EJ does help a lot going into camp. But that aside, I agree with the BPA statement, it could be a QB at 4 or 5 and I wanted to know who could be a fit for backup.
  9. While anything is possible camp isn't until mid July, that's a long way from now. The early OTAs are in jeopardy but if things go well the NFL will adjust and have them in a condensed from in June. The players can all be tested ahead of travelling and after travelling. If the season (September) is in jeopardy we all got a lot more to worry about other than football.
  10. The TB and BB dynasty is over. I don't think that is really settling in with people. Fans worried about NE getting a broken down Cam or Andy Dalton. TB gone will change the whole dynamics of that team.
  11. Well with the EJ Gaines signing that just removed CB as a "need" in the draft. Is it maybe time for Beane to look for Josh Allen's long term backup in the draft? Would a 4th round pick get us that? What say the college fans, if so who could that guy be.
  12. Welcome back EJ and take advantage of the new facility and trainers! Stay healthy and you got a home here.
  13. I agree. Bungles would be foolish to trade Dalton for a mid round pick. They got the top pick in every round this year already. Dalton is the perfect guy to have around for the rookie QBs first year and he only costs 17 million. Having Dalton around for camp/preseason is valuable and there is always the possibility a starter goes down in the off season or beginning of the season and then maybe they would consider a trade. If I was Dalton I'd stay put, make some money and enter the FA QB market next year after the dust settles this year with all the QB shake ups.
  14. I think you are right. Depth type signings maybe but you would think Beane would like these guys to come in for a workout. Travel restrictions are impeding this. On to the Draft!
  15. Good explanation and yes Spotrac has already baked in a decent 2021 cap increase in their numbers. Tre White will no doubt be getting an accepted 5th year option soon so his numbers will get reflected for 2021. You are right they may hold off on his contract and go for the others. FWIW, the new CBA has changed the 2 tier 5th year option and ALL 1st rounders get the same 1st round money. Using that calculation I would image that Tre's 5th year option will be a little over 14 million which is fully guaranteed now. These 5th year options are not as cheap as people think they are.
  16. I will go out on a limb and say the McNair (owner of Texans) has heard about this rumor and has made his thoughts known. Stop with the rouge BoB stuff.
  17. Thank you for taking the time during your loss to let us all know this. Buffalo Bills fans are more than just fans of a team we are a family!
  18. When we were kids playing sandlot tackle football at Dingens Park and someone made a good tackle we called you Mike Stratton!
  19. No one other than Flacco. I looked thru NEs roster to see how much they can "restructure" to get Dalton/Newton/Winston and there is not a lot left for them to do. They already have restructured 5 top contracts and got a lot of other high $ players on their last year of contract. Could BB do it? Yes, but it would have to cut into the meat and I think he goes into the year with what he has plus a rookie QB. Yep, Scar is gone along with vacancies at DC, DL and WR coaches! BB is arguably the GOAT but he has a lot of work to do this year and he ain't getting any younger. The OL is great (when TB is playing and Scar working his magic) but they have no depth so they better all stay healthy and they better hope that the QB (who really knows yet) will know how to use them correctly. NE has 2 TEs on roster Matt LaCrosse and 7th rounder Ryan Izzo. I see a high round rookie drafted but he won't be playing with Brady. WR is meh. If they can piece together an O with their new QB (NEW QB IN NE) maybe Edelman (at 34 years old) can come close to duplicating his past performances BUT if they struggle I'm hoping to see his frustration level go thru the roof. The D will still play good but they always had Brady to get them out of any trouble so if the O is impotent how long will they perform? They have taken some decent hits this year player wise. Special Teams are always a hit and miss with most teams but that is another BB strong point. How much time will he get to spend with them with all the other challenges he has? Tom Brady is not the QB of NE and people got to realize that he has been the catalyst of playoffs and championships. Simply not having him in the locker room is going to change the whole teams outlook. Wait for the Pats* fans reactions at home games when they are not the team they use to be. Rome wasn't built in a day and it didn't fall in a day but the NE BB/TB Empire is over.
  20. I don't see any way that Cam would want to come to Buffalo to be a backup and that goes for Winston too. Flacco is probably toast and there is no real FA QBs worth anything. So, would it make sense that the Bills take a flyer on a 5th or 6th round QB in the draft? I'm not a huge college fan but maybe a Nate Stanley/Steven Montez type?
