  1. He just was interviewed and said he doesn't know how he got it. He said he has quarantined himself the last month and only been out something like 4 times and was taking precautions. FWIW.
  2. Your points on Devin are well taken. I guess I should not of said I think he is incapable of being a true #1RB. I guess it could be more of my personal take on the position. I want a more rotational RB stable with each back a little specialized. Devin definitely is a unique type of RB and I definitely am a fan of how he runs. Wouldn't mind him teamed up with a more typical 5'10" - 5'11" type with some breakout speed and one that can get to the edge quickly. That's my want as a RB1A and B setup. A bigger tough between the tackles RB/FB rounds out the stable for me. Of course you want each one to be able to catch the ball too. I like the thought of having different skill sets to scheme and adjust somewhat depending on the type of defense you face each week. I guess I always have thought that way since the Morris/Csonka/Kiick days. NE has been pretty successful with the same theory today.
  3. NFLN ratings will soar to new heights when Kay Adams does her segments from home in her pajamas.
  4. but still.....Zay played like his hands were on backwards and KB caught like a Manatee.
  5. I have mixed opinions about the need of a FB in today's NFL. I said IF they want to continue using one it's a good time to upgrade DiMarco. I personally would like a big RB in the stable that can "part time" be used as a FB. To me that's the best of both worlds. First off I have never been an excuse maker for Allen. He needs to improve a lot this year and probably will have to continue every season. If you read my OP you would see I acknowledged the starters but had other reasons for my opinion. As for the "clown comment" I'll let Homie do my talking.
  6. FWIW he lives here in Colorado (south Denver) and the local news just had a spot on this. He's suppose to talk to the press tomorrow about his situation. I'm sure someone will ask if he could of spread it to teammates. Health wise the reports are he is doing fine so far.
  7. LOL, those JUCO WRs snagged Allen's throws a lot better than K. Benjamin and Zay Jones did.
  8. Most likely true. I would ask, other than a rookie rotational DE what rookie defensive player is going to bump a starter this year? The vast majority of FA $'s went to the D this off season.
  9. I do acknowledge that the 2nd round could go the way you are saying. If that happens great but then the 3,4 and 5 picks going O playmakers are all the more a priority for me.
  10. I started the thread because I seen a lot of posts about draft needs. Many of them had abundant reasons for all kinds of defense and OL needed by the team. It got to the point where many say that after the Diggs trade a backup RB + WR both in the later rounds is all the O needs. The more I listened to those posts the more I started feeling that I do not agree with that train of thought. I started the thread to get a sense as to how many are leaning toward my thinking. Beane may very well think what others believe but I will feel a little of a let down if it ends up Diggs and a backup RB with a late round WR. I do like that you prioritize another RB in the 2nd or 3rd. So do I.
  11. Edge I agree with but there is no room on the roster for a DT 2nd rounder. I don't see a C/G at all at 2, maybe an OT. No way do I see what in essence would be a backup S at 2. CB in any round is always a possibility but I don't think it's a 2. 1 week to go and we all want to see what Brandon does. I spoke my mind in the OP LOL.
  12. I'll answer you and @Buffalo716 together. I said "with the exception of DE/Edge" I would like the other 3 picks to go O playmakers. I want to see a RB1B, someone getting a good share of snaps, another WR and either a RB/FB to expand on DiMarco's role or maybe another WR/Punt returner to upgrade Roberts role. A blocking TE (which I think is important in Daboll's system) with a 6th that can be Smith replacement in 2021 who can be stashed on PS if he doesn't move Smith off his job this year may be considered too.
  13. With the exception of the 2nd rounder this year most of the other picks will be depth/rotational players. I just would like to see them on offense this year. I would like to hear the NFL National Draft Pundits say that "Brandon Beane is surrounding Allen with playmakers"! I still don't know how good of a QB Allen can evolve into but I do want him to be the best he can be and if a better surrounding cast helps then I'm all for it.
  14. Like I said in my OP, I'd be fine with a DE that fits with any of the higher picks as long it's surrounded with O players. If they can't find their DE they may have to wait until next year and hope their 1st can snag a good one. I know it doesn't help this year but you can't always get what you want.
  15. I actually wouldn't mind that at all especially if one of the RB's is a RB/FB type back. I got mixed emotions on Clowney. Big name and big money.........I'll leave that huge decision with Brandon.
  16. I want Beane to go into the draft looking for offensive playmakers with the first 3 out of 4 picks and maybe a later pick or 2. There, I said it and feel better already. Stefon Diggs was a great start but he is the only playmaker upgrade so far. In fact he is the only starter change on O from last year. Getting a backup RB (like many have suggested) and calling it a day is the last thing I want to see. For all the "we need more on Defense" posters I understand your concerns and want to see many of the upgrades too BUT much of that has been addressed in FA and let's all acknowledge that the D will continue to be "Way above average" this coming year. Do we think Diggs is all that is needed for the Bills Offense to get "Way above Average"? The Bills have Allen, Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Knox and Singletary as starters. Singletary IMO is not a 65% snap count kind of back. Knox is still a work in progress and Brown and Beasley are already into their prime age contracts. If any of these guys are lost for any amount of time who are their replacements? Yeldon, DiMarco, Kroft, Roberts, Williams, McKenzie, Barkley, Jones and Foster are all FA's next year. How many of them are needed/wanted for the future? Lee Smith has 2 years left on his contract. How many want to see him on the team in 2021? The other JAG's Croom, McCloud, Easley, Becker, Webb, Wade, the Professor and Mary Ann are all 50 to 1 long shots. With exception of Mary Ann! Let's start rotating out of these above players now with rookies on 4 year cheap contracts and not wait to do it all next year! With the exception of an Edge Rusher I want Beane to get playmakers to help score as many points as possible and/or establish some decent long term depth. A consistent Punter wouldn't hurt in the 6th or 7th too.
  17. You and I see team needs very differently. I'll politely bow out of the conversation.
  18. Yes, Round 3 is the sweet spot between performance and value and it's what I predict Beane will do.
  19. Sure their available, but most suck at running in the NFL. It seems you have your mind made up and I have a different opinion. I believe the idea of easily picking RBs in the late round is akin to an urban legend. I've posted this 3 times in the last month or so and will do it one more time. Which group do you want to pick from? Last 6 drafts of RBs Rounds 1-3. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/draft-finder.cgi?request=1&year_min=2014&year_max=2019&draft_round_min=1&draft_round_max=3&draft_slot_min=1&draft_slot_max=500&pick_type=overall&pos[]=rb&conference=any&show=all&order_by=rush_yds Last 6 drafts of RBs Rounds 4-7. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/draft-finder.cgi?request=1&year_min=2014&year_max=2019&draft_round_min=4&draft_round_max=7&draft_slot_min=1&draft_slot_max=500&pick_type=overall&pos[]=rb&conference=any&show=all&order_by=rush_yds
  20. I got to disagree with you on this. If Devin was lost for any significant time would you be happy with Yeldon as the only RB. Taiwan Jones is 31 years old and been in the league since 2011. He has a whopping Career Rushing Yards Total of 223 yards! He is not a RB, he is a ST'er. When you take out Jones's contract (being he is a ST'er and not a RB) the Bills are dead last in $'s spent at the position at less than 3.5 million. The Bills are spending half again more than that on a backup OLman. As a comparison, right now the league average is 9.1 million. This will go down once the "scrubs" are let go on cut down day but so will the Bills current total too. "Best bang for the buck" does not even need to be considered. I'm almost certain Beane WILL draft a RB no later than the 4th and/or acquire a decent one after the draft in FA. IMO and I know I'm not alone.
  21. If Beane traded back into the 1st round using a combination of this years and next years picks I would be extremely disappointed in him.
  22. Which is why the draft is so intriguing as to what Beane does in the 2nd and 3rd. If they don't get a guy they want they will have to go look at the FA RB again. Can't go into the season with just Devin. If he get's injured they will be screwed.
  23. Many of us are under the assumption whey want to draft a RB1/A or B to work with Singletary. Having a one two punch backfield on the cheap for the next 3-4 years would be a good thing in my book.
  24. LOL, that's an understatement. I was scared to go to the bathroom alone when I was a kid. It was like the Black Hole of Calcutta.
