  1. I think you need to consider what Brown and Hughes would do with a 1yr extension. Cut their cap hits by about $4M each in 2021, and in 2022 they each have cap hits around $6M with limited dead cap of cut (maybe $1m-$2m each). This way you do three things... 1) cut salary cap in 2021, by a total of about $8M 2) keep players that have been relatively productive (Brown hurt, Hughes slowly decreasing with age but still effective) 3) save the money keep those guys, but have relatively easy outs after the 2021 season.
  2. According to Spotrac & Over the Cap, his Cap Hit in 2021 is $12.471M. https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/philadelphia-eagles/ https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/
  3. If traded, I don’t believe the team that trades for Ertz would be on the hook for the whole $12.5M. According to Over the Cap’s Calculator, Philly would still be on the hook for about $4.5M if traded.
  4. I like Demetric Felton as a late day 2, or day 3 option. Has experience at receiver and running back. Adds speed and a dynamic skill set and was at a program that doesn’t seem to know how to use its talent. Another is Hamsah Nasirildeen. I think they go after hun in the 2nd round. His stock will rise during pro-days and from senior bowl. Again, comes from a program that didn’t know how to utilize their talent
  5. I think most of your stuff is correct except Brown. I think they extend him one year, cutting his 2021 cap hit from $9M to about $4M-$5M, and cut him after this year if he doesn’t return to form for a small cap penalty ($1M-$2M). He said he didn’t want to call Davis a #2, and Brown would be insurance for that.
  6. Idk. I know we try to read into this a lot. The only things i really came away with is... 1) Expect them to look for a speed rusher in the front-7. Either a DE, or a LB in the Lorenzo role. 2) continued re-tooling of the offensive line. 3) Speed added to the offense at RB and WR 4) a consistent, veteran TE added. -I think he is being genuine when he states letting Milano go test the market, because at this point he doesn’t know what the salary cap will be.
  7. When they re-signed Tre White, he kept his 4th yr cap hit basically the same and his 5th year was similar to his 5th yr option number. I believe it’ll be similar with Josh. He’ll get re-signed and it’ll basically be an extension off the end of his 5th yr option.
  8. I think they know they need speed. Don’t see either of these happening.
  9. I think Butler is gone for sure. Addison I’d say 75% chance. Hughes gets a one year extension lowering his 2021 cap hit. Star returns. Phillips, Oliver and Jefferson return. Zimmer fights for a job in camp. Johnson and Epenesa return. I believe they’ll look for a veteran UFA Defensive end, but I also see them looking to move up in round 1 and get a guy they like. Rousseau seems to fit the bill. Ideal height/weight. Freak athlete. Just not sure about his off-field staff bc he did opt out, but if that causes him to slide Beane could use that as a reason to move up into say, the late teens or early 20’s for a guy they view as arguably a top-10 talent
  10. Matt Breida as a scat back option? I think we could see Christian Wade make a push for a spot. Ingram could be a candidate as well
  11. I think he’s talking specifically about or defensive backs. Hill’s speed specifically really hurt us. We also got hurt not having a speed option out of the backfield. McKenzie provides some of that in the run game, but it’s too gadgety. Singletary’s dropped pass which led to Yeldon coming into the game I believe was a microcosm of how ineffective he’s been this year. I expect them to look for DB’s who can play more press when necessary to disrupt opposing teams speed. I expect them to look for RB options who can add speed to stretch the field horizontally. I expect them to look for someone on defense who can really get after the QB.
  12. McDermott needs to grow from this game. Field goals instead of touchdowns
  13. Hurts. but that’s what drives you to strive for excellence. they'll be back
  14. Sign a RB Draft the Pass Rusher Keep developing the tight end. Obviously they can do more to each position as well. But I think that’s the basics. I believe they need to add a legit pass rusher so they can rush 4 and still get pressure with consistency. They’re unable to get any pressure when rushing 4. Addison and Butler have been average at best. Jefferson has not been very good either.
  15. My gut tells me Denver makes the move for Stafford. Their 1st, 4th and Lock for Stafford and a 2022 5th or something like that.
  16. The one organization that could mess his career up as bad or worse than Houston
  17. They must REALLY be struggling to find people who want the job.
  18. I think he’s a bit more than that, read the following just to see his athletic freakness... https://www.stack.com/a/small-school-star-justin-zimmer-might-be-the-most-athletic-300-pound-prospect-in-nfl-history
  19. I think it’s Williams that leaves. Morse saves you $5M by cutting him. Not enough to keep Williams on its own. I believe Williams will get more than they’ll offer ($13M-$15M) and they’ll use a combo of Ford/Bates/UFA/Draft pick to battle for that spot.
  20. I think they’re more confident in Wallace than we are. Also, they want a different type of player at that position than most teams. Most of your typical 1st round picks are guys that are more typical man coverage guys where we tend to play much more zone. I believe they’ll roll with Star and if he continues the play from last week, Harrison Phillips can play the 1-tech as well. I do think edge is a need. I think Hughes, Addison, Epenesa & D. Johnson will all be back but they need another guy to develop and it depends on how the board falls
  21. Tony Fields II is a player I’d look into in the later rounds
  22. I don’t doubt running back is a need they’ll look into. I also don’t see them using their first pick on a player, especially with two 3rd round picks in the room. I expect them to go after some free agent veterans. If they look to add a speed dynamic, Matt Breida could be a candidate. If not, I believe next year is finally the year we could actually see Christian Wade make some noise with more of an off-season and pre-season to show himself. If they look for someone to spell Moss depending on his injury, I think Ingram is a good fit stylistically. If they’re not happy with the run, I believe they’ll draft an offensive lineman first to fix that. They believe that more often than not, the line creates the runner, not the other way around. I also believe this is correct. Also don’t see them taking a TE in the 1st. Positional value isn’t there, and I believe they are taking the long term route with Knox. Will possibly have Sweeney coming back next season, Kroft might return on a lower deal, Smith could still be around as a blocker, and Gilliam is an interesting option.
  23. Possibly, but 1) he could slip, smaller school guy with one year of good tape and 2) Beane isnt afraid to move up for his guy.
  24. I feel like our defense is missing that guy who can flex between playing the edge, blitzing the A-Gap, dropping into coverage, and basically be a front-7 chess piece. 6’4” 260lb linebacker finished with 8GP-54tkls-4sks-4INT-2FF-1FR-2TD Also has a nice chip on his shoulder, only school to give him scholarship was Tulsa
