Mt Rushmore of Buffalo coaches (Bills and Sabres)
GreggTX replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you need to coach the team to a 'win it all' season to go here and Lou Saban is the only one that qualifies. -
The problem with Madden is that it ISN'T a simulation game. It's an arcade game for kids that like bells and whistles and that have short attention spans. The same numerous, glaring shortcomings persist year after year while they focus on adding BS that adds nothing to the quality of the game. I sometimes wonder if they hired a bunch of 5 year olds to design the game. I want to play as the coach, not as a finger flipper. EA desperately needs a serious competitor. Isn't competition what the NFL is all about?

Can Stefon Diggs Emerge as a Superstar in Buffalo?
GreggTX replied to jletha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He already is a superstar. The real question is, can he maintain it here? He certainly has the talent, but Reed had Kelly, Thurman and a great OL. Diggs won't have the same advantages -
Which Bills player is mostl likely to progress in 2020?
GreggTX replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree 100%. I'm not a big fan of Allen's passing acumen or accuracy, but a big jump in his game would help a LOT. -
Which Bills player is mostl likely to progress in 2020?
GreggTX replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, but I agree with you. I also think the combination of Singletary and Moss will rock. I see Singletary as the #1, but that could change if he doesn't stop putting the ball on the carpet so often. -
Dallas 175 million 5 year offer to Prescott
GreggTX replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not worth it. Let him walk and draft or otherwise sign your next QB. -
NFL is making plans to experiment with a sky judge in 2020
GreggTX replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My 1st thought was "There's an accident waiting to happen." I'm just waiting for the 1st time one of those things gets in the way of a punt or pass. Maybe gets blown into some Bills fan's beer by the gusty winds in Orchard Park. Cue the drone jokes... -
How do you see the right side of the OL?
GreggTX replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ford desperately needs to be moved inside and Feliciano could very easily be replaced with someone better. Unfortunately, we have no real talent at RT. Nsekhe is a career backup for a reason. Williams is no longer any good and should be our backup at G unless Ford moves inside, in which case Feliciano becomes the backup at G/C and Williams fails to make the roster. Despite all the cap space, we ignored this huge liability and the left side of the OL is just average. Allen handles pressure poorly, so the OL will probably be the reason our offense will fail to live up to the lofty expectations of some. -
Which Bills Starter is most likely to regress in 2020?
GreggTX replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree on Hughes, but he played hurt in 2019 so I'm not sure. I also think Brown and Beasley get fewer targets, but will still play at a high level. Diggs is another candidate. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he can duplicate what he did in Minnesota with better passers. -
Stop making excuses for him. He had the lowest completion percentage of ALL QB's with more than 100 attempts and there wouldn't have been so many drops if he had better accuracy. Josh Allen leads the league in number of apologists. I've never seen any player whose fans simply dismiss his shortcomings without any objective consideration. He's not even an average QB. Maybe some day he will be, but not yet. Not by a long shot.

Owners to vote on Extending EA exclusive License
GreggTX replied to Warcodered's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want a game that focuses on better simulation than Madden. The computer does some incredibly dumb stuff in simulation mode. I also want to play as HC -- Call the plays, make substitutions and manage the clock. Let the computer handle all the joystick wiggling. Example -- Madden focuses on stupid bells and whistles while year after year the computer punting is still broken. I have a long list of things that never get fixed. -
Reason the Dolphins fired their OC
GreggTX replied to Nihilarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reason #2: Chan is a very good OC and play caller. Just don't let him pick your QB or DC. -
The only significant move was trading for Diggs unless Epenesa and/or Moss turn out to be great. We did nothing to improve an OL that still needs some serious upgrading. Other than Diggs, much of this talk amounts to counting your chickens before they hatch. I just hope they prove me wrong, but this looks like a roster full of mediocre players.

Murphy Out at One Bills Live - Brown and Glab to Replace
GreggTX replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Murph was very good. Not sure why some say otherwise. As far as leaving the show is concerned, maybe he just wants to have more free time. He's not getting any younger and I'd wager he's set for life. We'll see. If he takes another full time job, he was gently pushed. If he's spending more time fishing or skiing, it was his own choice. -
I like 'em. I see that puts me in the minority here, but I prefer to think for myself than blindly follow the crowd. I like the new Chargers uniforms even more.
-
Relax. He made a stupid mistake. He's a kid. He'll learn (I hope). I hope his impending suspension is his wakeup call. I'll be so disappointed if he's the next Darius. I'll wager he's gonna have a very difficult conversation with McDermott in the near future. He was supposed to make a big jump in progress this year. Let's hope that process doesn't get derailed. Why do these guys have to drive around with guns anyways? Just to show off? He needs to grow up. 1st offense. McDermott is his biggest worry.

Who will win starting jobs at these positions?
GreggTX replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent Murphy is better than the other 2 at this point, but Addison is a better pass rusher. I can't say one way or another about Epenesa yet, so I'm assuming that TM and Addison are better until I see otherwise. I hope AJ turns out to be the steal of the draft. Yup. You can never have too many good roasters. -
