  1. OP, I agree. TT is not the answer. Why not give the kid a shot? I don't think I'd start him again too soon, but TT isn't taking us to the playoffs either. I don't see this team winning many more games this year, if any.
  2. TT may be the best option right now, but I think they've already decided that he's just not good enough so they wanted to see what they had with Peterman before the season ended. I don't disagree with that decision. Who knew the kid would implode like that in his first start? Better days are ahead for young Nate.
  3. I'm especially encouraged to see Dawkins on this list. If he turns out good, that's a huge boost in a time when OL talent is thin league wide due to so many high picks for OT's that have been busts, I suspect. At least Shaq is average. There's still hope.
  4. With Dareus gone, we can't stop the run. Result: We get a better draft position and (hopefully) draft the core players that will make this team great for years to come.
  5. Just stop. Leslie Frazier is one of the top DC's in the NFL. The problem is NO TALENT in the front 7 besides Jerry Hughes. Let's give the poor man some talent to work with. Start at DT and MLB. Exactly. They have to replace both Marcell and Kyle next season, but they should be able to get better play for less money. I think we still have to eat some Dareus money next year, like $9 mill? It was a move they HAD to make, but it will cost us the season. Cheer up. Brighter days are ahead. Look at the bright side. We might even get the next Wentz without having to trade up and keep all of our remaining picks.
  6. If our drafting doesn't get better, it won't matter who plays QB. Keep in mind, we just replaced our ENTIRE personnel staff. Let's see what they can do. Cousins may make us OK, but if we want to win it all, we have to swing for the fences. There are 31 other teams all after the same prize.
  7. I think it's quite naive to believe that the team has "quit on the coaches." These guys know their next paycheck depends on what they put on tape today. Our secondary is actually better than it was last year, but we just have so little talent left in the trenches other than Richie and Hughes. We're getting pushed around up front on both sides of the ball and the absence of Dareus, overpaid as he was, has exposed this. With no help in sight, we're going to struggle until the season ends. Pray that Mr. Beane is our savior on draft day and during the FA signing period. We need TALENT, not "the locker room."
  8. Maybe start researching the QB's believed to be coming out this year. Even if Peterman finishes strong they might still draft another QB-- just not so high that we have to give up a bunch of picks and trade up.
  9. We know what we have in Taylor. Let's see what the rookie can do before we mortgage our future for a top 3 pick to land another QB.
  10. The Bills have a huge decision to make soon regarding the most important position in sports. I think they're going to give Peterman a chance to open things up a bit and see if he can handle it. Also, the Bills don't neccesarily have to trade up into the top 3 to get a QB they like if Peterman plays well. If nothing else, this coming offseason looks to be very interesting.
  11. I beg to differ. There's nothing like outguessing the other teams's playcallers to give you a big edge.
  12. Clearly he hasn't watched Peterman play. I know this is his first real test, but at least give the kid a chance.
  13. I think he looks strong in the football smarts area. He makes good decisions (usually) and gets rid of the ball quickly. He's not the athlete that Tyrod is, but his arm looks better than advertised coming out of school. We'll see how that part about making good decisions holds up on Sunday. It won't be garbage time and definitely not preseason. Who knows? Maybe this kid turns out pretty good. I'll cross my fingers.
  14. We simply must accept it. Tyrod is not the answer. This last game removed all doubt. It's all in on a new elite QB or a rookie with the potential to become elite. No more excuses!
  15. He clearly sees the whole field. He makes good decisions and gets the ball out quickly. His accuracy, to me, looks better than advertised just as it did last Summer.
  16. They didn't quit. They have no one to plug the middle with Dareus gone. If other teams can run at will, we'll have to throw a lot to try to catch up. We can't be putting games on Tyrod's shoulders. I believe getting rid of Marcell was the right move, long term. For the rest of 2017, however, the wins won't come so easily
  17. We clearly need to get much better on offense. Adding a QB and some help on the OL and at RB will fix that. What we really need to save the season is a run defense. Right now, our front 7 is terrible. Hughes is playing very well and Kyle remains average. Lorenzo has been average too. The rest of that front 7 is VERY weak. We're going to get pushed around a lot until next offseason when we can hopefully resolve these issues.
  18. I don't expect it, but I'd love to see Peterman get a shot. I think we already have a good idea what we have in Tyrod and he has trade value. Let's see what NP can do if Tyrod's struggles continue so we know what to do this offseason.
  19. "On the fans"? How about Kyle is ready to retire and the rest of our DT's aren't even good backups. Shaq has been a bust so far and our LB's are overrated.
  20. I'm not saying our OL doesn't need upgrading, but a QB that holds the ball too long or a run first approach with a RB that mixes a high number of losses along with big gains makes their jobs harder.
  21. P Brown hasn't played well since his rookie year. This year is no different. He'd be a capable backup as 'first man up', but it looks like that's all he'll ever be. Don't always fall for the preseason hype about what a great season some guy looks poised to have. They said the same thing about Shaq last Summer.
  22. All this team needs is a QB that can fit the system and a few upgrades in the front 7 on D. There are several other things that would be really nice to have, but that would be a great start.
  23. 1. Yarbrough is a DE, not a DT. 2. We aren't going to the playoffs. We were a 8-8 team with Dareus. We are a 7-9 team without him at this point. I think 2 more wins is realistic. Or someone to compete with Peterman next year.
  24. LOL jumping the gun already? Beane hasn't even held a draft yet. Come on. Do you really expect them to say they are throwing out this season for next year?
