  1. I've been looking for a video of that Thurman catch that is similar to the OBJ catch.
  2. Did Tim Settle do or say something?
  3. He is supportive and complimentary of everyone.
  4. Going to four straight was amazing. Losing all of them was not amazing. Yes and yes. If football is giving you trauma, I think you need greater perspective in your life. It is possible to care too much about sports.
  5. You can explain it any way you like, but Mahomes has won more, has better stats, more accolades, shown up in bigger moments, etc. He is more consistently elite and less volatile than Josh. It's just the truth. Mahomes is the best, most impactful player in the NFL.
  6. Well, he had an OK run, but I think he is not well liked because of how it progressed and ended with him. He went from being a dual threat with a really pretty deep ball who could win you games, all while taking care of the ball, to a complete coward who would not throw the ball to open receivers or take any risk even when the game was on the line. And he didn't even run that much either, by the end. By the end he was just too hard to watch. And that's why McDermott benched him, because Tyrod was too conservative and the rest of the team could not overcome his risk-aversion to win games. But in totality, he is one of the better QB's in Bills history, mainly because there aren't that many good QB's in Bills history. It is easier to watch a gunslinger who turns it over too much but at least tries like Fitz did, than it is to watch someone who will never pull the trigger, even if they don't turn it over much. Also with Fitz, a big reason fans like him is because of his personality and the fact that he really loves Buffalo and continues to speak highly of it even years later. He's asking why. So, why is that, in your opinion?
  7. The comment was specifically about receivers, but you are always moving the goalposts. The Chiefs have one elite receiving option in Kelce, the Bills have one elite receiving option in Diggs. The rest are not as consequential of weapons. I think the Bills and Chiefs are in similar shoes when it comes to their receiving weapons. The Chiefs have a better oline, though, and Mahomes is more consistently elite than Allen. The Chiefs for sure have a better offense overall, I think. But they do not have elite wide receivers at all. That is one of their weak spots, and they have tried to address it in the draft and free agency with mixed results.
  8. Wow. Quite the strong take, here. There's no reason to believe that.
  9. The Bills could have won the superbowl those years too. They've been good enough for a couple of years now and they'll be good enough this year too. But so are other teams. We don't have the best QB. Mahomes is better. Burrow is close to or at Allen's level too, although quite a different style. I'd argue that Allen has a lower floor than both of them and maybe others as well, but his ceiling is as high as anyone's.
  10. Held them back from what? Being one of the best teams in the NFL?
  11. Exactly. This is what held the team back last year. The injuries to the defense, and Josh Allen's elbow injury.
  12. How is linebacker not the weakest unit? It is by far. The weakness of the receiving group is overstated.
  13. Untapped potential? He is 30. This is his 9th season. He does not have any untapped potential. He is who he is: a decent WR.
  14. Hard to separate when he is holding on to you.
  15. And, I think most would agree that was exceptional. Most coaches do not get fired under those circumstances. There are exceptions, and this is one of them. And it usually does not work out. Sometimes it does, but often the team regresses.
  16. Hey, I'd take more comfy seats. That would nice. To me, a stadium is good when it has good food options, decently comfortable seats, and a great view of the field.
  17. They won 9 games last year. They haven't had a double digit season since 2017. Before that? 2007. You don't get to add playoff games to your regular season record. They were 1 game over .500. Good thing they had an extra game with the new 17 game schedule or they would have been 8-8 and missed the playoffs. With a pitifully easy schedule, no less.
  18. How about double digit wins? How about playoff wins? How about getting to the conference championship? How about having success for more than one season (and the Jags's "breakout" season was barely better than average.) Just a laughable take.
  19. That is not proving anything. Getting to 9-8 and losing a game in the playoffs does not vault you to the #1 seed.
  20. I am not going to project the Jags, of all teams, to become a great team. They have to prove it to me, just like the Bills had to prove it when they were a laughing stock organization coming out of the drought. Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not saying they will fail, but I just need to see it from them. Last year could have easily been a fluke. Teams go on good runs and then regress to the mean all the time.
