  1. He's a 2nd string TE now. There is just no world where he is going to ever get significant targets.
  2. I don't think people are up in arms because of the media. I think many Bills fans are not able to handle failure. But failure is inevitable. There is no such thing as a perfect season. Games have ebbs and flows. Seasons do too. Even teams who win the super bowl go through ups and downs. You even see it within games where fans will freak out about a single drive, or even a single play, like it is the end of the world and everyone should be fired, like the expectation is that the Bills should steam roll the opponent like they are a bunch of nobody NPC's who don't have good players, coaches, and game plans of their own. Football just isn't like that. But the Bills have spoiled us many times because of the games where they do dominate. Expectations minus Reality equals Disappointment. Many fans need to adjust their expectations to be more in line with reality. And the reality is, the Bills will get beaten sometimes, even badly. It happens to EVERY team, even the ever holy and sacred Chiefs.
  3. Not compared to times in the past. Who compares to Moss, Owens, Megatron, and Fitzgerald? All those guys were HUGE stars and their presence was felt on the field. You have Justin Jefferson and that's about all at WR. The rest of the elites today are good players, but not as dominant and they certainly don't have the superstar presence. And the same goes for QB's. Mahomes and Allen are superstars. Sure, throw Lamar Jackson in there. It doesn't compare to when we had Brady, Brees, prime Rodgers, Roethlisberger, and Rivers. The early 2000's was full of superstars. The 90's was full of superstars as well. I think this current era lacks those truly elite, all-time type players with huge presences on the field. I will say that we have some of that on the defensive side of the ball, though, with some of the great pass rushers today like TJ Watt, Myles Gerritt, the Bosa brothers, etc. (though they tend to get injured a lot these days...).
  4. Charles Davis is one of my LEAST favorites to listen to. No thanks. He is only slightly more tolerable for me than Collinsworth, but even Collinsworth can have some good analysis on plays. Davis only says things that are obvious in the most annoying way possible. He also says some pretty dumb things, sometimes. I have no issue with Ian Eagle, though. He does a nice job.
  5. Defenses are putting a cap on big plays now, not just with the Bills but all around the league. Things were different a few years ago with Daboll.
  6. But it is usually before the season starts, not four games into the season.
  7. In the middle of the season? Does that usually happen? Is this related to the domestic violence thing awhile ago?
  8. We can beat the Texans. They aren't some juggernaut. Stroud has struggled a lot more this year than last year.
  9. I think there are a lack of superstars in the NFL today, especially at the QB position, but also at the WR position.
  10. No thanks. Draft and develop your own receivers. You never see KC making big splash trades like this, and they have had just as many issues with WR talent. They sign cheap guys and draft to develop. Let the perennial losing teams make the big splash trades.
  11. TE's all over the league have been pretty disappointing so far this year. It's an interesting trend.
  12. We lost a game. Don't you know that means every player is now bad, the coaches suck, and the team is soft? We can't say anything good about the team or players until we win a game again. Then we can make superbowl projections.
  13. Incorrect. I never said he was going 22.5 mph. My original post stated that he was going nearly 22 mph, which was my memory from the broadcast. Maybe some other poster mentioned 22.5. I'm not sure. Sorry, I don't trust your numbers. You calculated his top speed wrong. So the 17 mph number you keep mentioning is likely also wrong, and also irrelevant. Of course he wasn't traveling at top speed for the entire run. He spent time at anywhere between 0 and 21.3 mph throughout the run. Players take time to accelerate and decelerate. Everyone understands that. The question is whether or not our defensive backs are slow, because of an assumption that Henry must be slow because he is a large back. Well, he isn't slow. He is fast. He has a history of long runs where his top speeds are very fast. He is a powerful runner who can be quite fast when he is allowed room to accelerate. The fact that our defensive backs did not catch him does not mean they are slow necessarily. They could be slow, but this run is not evidence of that.
  14. You don't have to change personnel to have more defenders in the box, though.
  15. Your appeal to authority doesn't really sway me. I don't know you or what you do. I trust the numbers put out by the experts, not a random guy on a message board. Henry was running very fast. It's a fact. His top speed was 21.3 MPH. Your calculations are obviously off because you had him slower than that. The narrative that all the DBs are really slow is not true. That was one of the fastest runs all year, and Henry has a history of fast runs when he is allowed to accelerate up to top speed. So, this thread is easily debunked by the actual numbers.
  16. I think your calculations are off. He wasn't just running vertically. He was also running at an angle toward the sideline. And you don't reach top speed with "instantaneous velocity". All the fastest MPH runs in the NFL are the long ones, because it takes many seconds to get up to your top speed.
  17. On the broadcast. It was somewhere around 21.5.
  18. He ran pretty fast. They said he reached almost 22 mph. The fastest of the 2023 season was a DK Metcalf run that reached 22.23 mph. The problem is, he reached top speed while all the defenders had to turn and accelerate. So, the gap increased substantially before they could reach top speed. Once you take an improper angle, it is difficult to get back into the play.
  19. This Dolphins game is up there with the least entertaining games I've ever seen. Both teams are just terrible.
  20. I warned all of you what would happen when we lost a game. And it's happening 🤣
  21. We're actually not.
  22. No thanks. I've never been a fan.
  23. If they bring him in and cut Bass, we'll be paying for two kickers this year and next.
  24. The Bills weren't going to keep the run of never losing by more than one score going forever. Better it happened now at the beginning of the season so they can evaluate and move forward.
  25. Because I've been critical of Lamar Jackson.
