  1. Certainly, but that doesn't make him a top 10 player in the league.
  2. I would put him in the teens, probably.
  3. I don't think Chris Jones deserves to be that high, personally.
  4. And if there is any position group to trust McDermott with, it is the secondary. He has an excellent track record with the defensive secondary.
  5. QB's don't play directly against each other, but you certainly have to match the opposing offense, and that is much easier to do when you don't have an elite QB over there putting their team on their back and willing them to victory. Allen and Mahomes weren't playing against each other on the field in the playoffs two years ago, but they certainly had to match what the other was doing to keep themselves in that game. Elite QB's have the ability to neutralize even the best of defenses, sometimes.
  6. This was way more funny to me than it should have been, lol.
  7. He is such a monster. He must be such a nightmare to game plan against. Oh, he certainly improved a ton and he turned out way better than I thought he would. The sky is the limit for him. But I just don't see him as a top 10 player in the NFL yet. Maybe I'll feel differently next year if he does it again and shows even more improvement in the passing game. He needs to pass for more than 22 TD's, though, to be considered up there with Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, etc.
  8. He had a good season, no doubt. He threw for fewer than 4000 yards and only for 22 TD's. Those are not elite passing stats. He was certainly an elite running QB, though, adding 700 yards and 13 rushing TD's. People are always going to view passing stats as more important than rushing stats for QB's. Just how it is. And it was one year, so he has to show that he can consistently be that guy before anyone is going to crown him with elite QB status. Also, let's be honest. Who does he have to compete against in the NFC? There are no elite QB's to go through over there.
  9. Chris Jones is too high on both lists, as is Hurts. Kelce is a top 5 player in the NFL, in my opinion, and he has a case for being the best TE of all time.
  10. Laughable, honestly. Nobody would choose Hurts over Josh Allen or Joe Burrow if they had to choose a QB to build their team around. Yeah, but he has to prove that first. It took Josh Allen three years of elite play to get this kind of respect. I have no issue with Burrow being ranked ahead of him, but Hurts has one good year. He is way too high.
  11. It might not be. Maybe all the experts will think he is ready to go.
  12. Most of them are just terrible from a UI standpoint. They seem ancient and horrible to navigate. It's great that we don't have to deal with that here.
  13. If he is all healed up and ready to go, there isn't really a reason to keep him out, though.
  14. Oh, I'm sure you've been counting the hours and minutes...
  15. Belichick knows better than any coach out there how elite Josh Allen is.
  16. Allen is an elite passer. If he never ran again he would still be among the best QB's in the game.
  17. Yes, people who say this are hyper focused on Elam and Cook and not considering previous years where clearly rookies have been major contributors and sometimes given starting jobs immediately. It is a false and lazy narrative.
  18. Maybe pick up a vet who gets cut. Neither of them inspire any confidence.
  19. You are comparing a 5th round pick who never played to a 1st round pick who saw regular playing time last year and who is getting tons of 1st team reps in camp? What is the similarity here? What a moronic take.
  20. It's a big stretch to say he was a hall of fame talent. Getting into the hall of fame requires supreme talent, longevity, and elite stats for a long time. Sometimes that isn't even enough. The NFL is littered with failed talents like Dareus. Supremely gifted athletes who don't put in the work, aren't smart enough, or get injured too much to have a great career. Dareus is not unique. There are thousands of other players like that. He is more normal and typical than a guy who puts it all together and has a hall of fame career. I also think he benefited a lot from playing with a very talented defensive line with the Bills.
  21. Hamlin is good enough to make the team, in my opinion.
  22. I thought it was a terrible hire for the Broncos and was not surprised by how terrible he did. I think he is not qualified to be an offensive coordinator either, but I think it is less x's and o's and more his temperament and leadership ability, or lack thereof. But Rodgers likes him, so he has that going for him.
  23. Fred Jackson was way bigger than Cook. Slenderness does matter. Some short running backs can block well because they have a low center of gravity, but they are still built pretty solidly.
  24. I'm not sure Singletary was excellent at pass blocking, but he was good. I'm not sure Cook is who you want out there for pass blocking. He is more slender. I'm sure Harris and Murray know what they are doing with pass blocking.
  25. The team is objectively better at nearly every position group. RT and MLB are the big question marks. Can Spencer Brown take the next step? Who will play MLB? Outside of that, the Bills are deeper everywhere. I get there is concern about WR, but it is still better than last year, plus we added a high-end pass catcher at TE. If everyone thought the Bills were good going into last season, they should be even more confident now. The team is better, and healthy. The health of the team was a big hurdle last year.
