  1. Offense: It has to be Cook Defense: Bernard (assuming he plays. Douglas if he doesn't)
  2. Mayo seems like an uninspiring coach to me.
  3. And he has done next to nothing in every playoff elimination game he has been a part of. Your #1 receiver is supposed to step it up in the playoffs, not disappear.
  4. He also had a season at 88% for extra points! That's really bad.
  5. Why would you feel better with him? He isn't very consistent. Letting a crappy kicker go to sign another crappy kicker (while taking on a lot of dead cap) doesn't seem like a smart decision.
  6. Sophomore slump. Hopefully, he takes that next step in year 3. I'm hopeful he can put things together for the rest of the season, though.
  7. I'll be driving in with my son and staying through the weekend. It's his first NFL game (he is 8 years old). He caught the football bug this year, so he is super excited.
  8. Yeah, I've always liked his moxie. It's nice to see Darnold doing well, too. I like to see the 2018 QB's doing well.
  9. That was a fumble. They should have challenged.
  10. They could have restructured him more, but wanted to keep a significant portion of his cap hit for this year. Allen is getting a bunch of money every year. They've been restructuring him and giving him a big bucket of cash each year they do so. He is not underpaid. Him and Mahomes have both been highly paid even though their APYs are technically lower. But Allen will get a reworked deal soon, just like Mahomes did.
  11. He was on the practice squad a couple weeks ago.
  12. Really nice throw there by Mayfield.
  13. They should list Lamar Jackson but show a picture of Josh Allen.
  14. I think Hamlin has filled in admirably. But he isn't an impact starter. We are used to having impact starters at safety. Rapp is kind of the same way. He does well, but doesn't make a big impact positively or negatively. Cam Lewis is a backup, and he has done as well as you can hope for a backup. He makes some plays and he misses some plays. I think he is quality depth, but it sure would be better to have Taron Johnson in there. At linebacker, Dorian Williams is actually making impact plays. I'm excited for the future with him. Spector is another guy filling in who just isn't an impact starter. He makes some plays but isn't dynamic like Bernard or Milano. And that's really the issue. Replacing all of our impact starters with guys who are fine, but don't make the impact plays, takes all the upside out of the defense.
  15. Bills - 28 Texans- 24 Bills win with a late TD.
  16. He's a 2nd string TE now. There is just no world where he is going to ever get significant targets.
  17. I don't think people are up in arms because of the media. I think many Bills fans are not able to handle failure. But failure is inevitable. There is no such thing as a perfect season. Games have ebbs and flows. Seasons do too. Even teams who win the super bowl go through ups and downs. You even see it within games where fans will freak out about a single drive, or even a single play, like it is the end of the world and everyone should be fired, like the expectation is that the Bills should steam roll the opponent like they are a bunch of nobody NPC's who don't have good players, coaches, and game plans of their own. Football just isn't like that. But the Bills have spoiled us many times because of the games where they do dominate. Expectations minus Reality equals Disappointment. Many fans need to adjust their expectations to be more in line with reality. And the reality is, the Bills will get beaten sometimes, even badly. It happens to EVERY team, even the ever holy and sacred Chiefs.
  18. Not compared to times in the past. Who compares to Moss, Owens, Megatron, and Fitzgerald? All those guys were HUGE stars and their presence was felt on the field. You have Justin Jefferson and that's about all at WR. The rest of the elites today are good players, but not as dominant and they certainly don't have the superstar presence. And the same goes for QB's. Mahomes and Allen are superstars. Sure, throw Lamar Jackson in there. It doesn't compare to when we had Brady, Brees, prime Rodgers, Roethlisberger, and Rivers. The early 2000's was full of superstars. The 90's was full of superstars as well. I think this current era lacks those truly elite, all-time type players with huge presences on the field. I will say that we have some of that on the defensive side of the ball, though, with some of the great pass rushers today like TJ Watt, Myles Gerritt, the Bosa brothers, etc. (though they tend to get injured a lot these days...).
  19. Charles Davis is one of my LEAST favorites to listen to. No thanks. He is only slightly more tolerable for me than Collinsworth, but even Collinsworth can have some good analysis on plays. Davis only says things that are obvious in the most annoying way possible. He also says some pretty dumb things, sometimes. I have no issue with Ian Eagle, though. He does a nice job.
  20. Defenses are putting a cap on big plays now, not just with the Bills but all around the league. Things were different a few years ago with Daboll.
  21. But it is usually before the season starts, not four games into the season.
  22. In the middle of the season? Does that usually happen? Is this related to the domestic violence thing awhile ago?
  23. We can beat the Texans. They aren't some juggernaut. Stroud has struggled a lot more this year than last year.
  24. I think there are a lack of superstars in the NFL today, especially at the QB position, but also at the WR position.
