Well yeah, but my comment was about Murray. My point was most people think he is good regardless of his race. I don't think he is held to some higher standard, which was the claim with Tyrod and some of these other minority QB's. When you are good, you're good. I don't think people generally care about anything else (except sometimes with Josh, inexplicably).

Will Biscuit get in to the HOF? Video highlights w/ Tasker

Hmm. I think he is one of those borderline guys. I don't think he'll get in. -
How many Nick Wright threads do we need?

Rams #2 is kind of strange...

Huh? No. The Bills were 6-2 heading into that game. Everyone saw it as a big matchup. There's a difference in being an underdog and it being a trap game. You think there was any chance the Seahawks would be looking past a matchup with a 6-2 opponent?

John Brown designated to return from IR

I don't think you could play football with full sickle cell disease, could you? EDIT: Apparently Tiki Barber had it. So I guess it's possible. I'm pretty sure it was a new injury. -
I've only recently realized that race has been at least a small part of the reason why some of these former players and minority analysts have been hating on Josh. I guess my head was in the sand. I didn't realize that benching Tyrod after he threw for less than 70 yards and then replacing him with Allen was such a hot button issue. Tyrod is, at best, a below average QB. So I never thought it strange that the team would be actively looking to replace him. And we have seen the same thing with the Chargers and their minority coach. Tyrod just isn't good enough and I don't think race had anything to do with the Bills decision.

Nice to be in a position to have a "trap game". For the longest time we were hoping that WE were the trap game for bigger, better opponents.

A Few Thoughts about the Steelers Game, in no particular order
MJS replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When the kick is above the height of the posts the rule states that if any part of the ball is over the posts, it is good. So in fact, if any part of the ball did that, even if most of the ball was outside, it should be called good. But it's Bass's job to not kick it so high and force a judgement call by the refs. The refs get things wrong all the time, so don't put it in their hands. -
I used to live in Colorado, through my middle school and much of my high school years. Right next to the Olympic training center. I moved to California close to sea level and I was able to just run... forever. I could have just run till my body gave out, I guess. It was very strange, but I figured out it was the elevation change. These days I play a lot of disc golf and I also travel a couple times a year for work conferences and stuff. I usually try to play a course when I go. The disc flies very differently at lower elevation vs higher elevation. You get more turn and less fade at lower elevations. So yeah, elevation makes a difference. I wonder if they might have John Brown sit this game because it also can affect those with sickle cell trait. Ugh, that's why I hate it. Takes so long to get into town.

On her turf - Kim Pegula opening the door for women

Those darn women! -
Hard to put the Titans and Chiefs ahead of us, I feel. The Titans stomped us (yeah, with extenuating circumstances, but still...) and the Chiefs beat us and only have one loss. I'd put the Bills at 3rd or 4th. Easy to put the Packers up there too.

Jets Fan Admitting Josh Allen is Better and Why
MJS replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't hate that idea, actually. Those two are already friends. I thought he looked a lot better the past two years and just fell off a cliff (with the rest of the franchise) this year. He made similar improvements from year one to year two as Allen did. He is a top 3 draft pick do you know he has the physical attributes and potential. Give him a couple of years in the process and he could be turned around. Gase isn't even trying anymore, though. He's just waiting for the season to end. -
I guess my point is that all of them could be franchise QB's and stick around the league for a decade and a half, even go to Superbowls, and still not be anywhere close to that draft class.

Pegulas openly championing Leslie Frazier for HC openings
MJS replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I tend to agree. The biggest thing is being able to develop QB talent, and defensive guys have no way of showing that. Plus, it's hard to know how much influence he has with McDermott as the head coach. But, if we make a deep playoff run and have a great season next year, we could see someone take a shot on him. Just don't see it this year.
