Jaguars: Lather, rinse, repeat
MJS replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't think that. Marrone is just too mediocre to sustain anything for too long. He doesn't have anything going for him at all. Players don't love him, he doesn't have a special offensive or defensive mind. Not particularly good at game management. I can't think of a single thing he is good at. Some say oline, but our oline was the worst it had been in years under him and improved immediately when he left, all with largely the same players. -
Pegulas openly championing Leslie Frazier for HC openings

If we produce two head coaches that would be pretty incredible. And it would have all the best and brightest coaches lining up to fill those vacancies. -
Super Bowl ticket prices. What would you pay?
MJS replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't afford it. But I'd throw a nice party at home. -
Eh, I usually poke around for 5-10 minutes if someone posts a link here. Never did me any harm.

How we can still get a first round bye? critical paths
MJS replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, 1st seed and the bye would be awesome for sure. Obviously that's the dream scenario. But deep down, I kind of want to see the Bills play every single round. The more Bills games the better (as long as they win them, of course). I'd love for Allen and the Bills to go into the conference championship with two awesome home playoff wins under their belt. That was my mentality in the off season, but I'm not sure how anyone could have watched the season play out so far and not believe that the Bills have a legitimate shot at a Superbowl this year. Will it be tough? For sure. We see great teams, experienced teams, fail to make it to the Superbowl year after year (Saints, for example). But the Bills have a dang good team and could go all the way, even through the Chiefs. If the Raiders can bear them, the Bills can too. KC will be there next year too. If not this year, why next year? -
I wouldn't go as far as to compare them to Marino, Kelly, and Elway. Especially Mayfield, who just seems pretty average to me. He's a legitimate starter, for sure. As far as Jackson, I am just not impressed with him as a passer. But for sure he is a tremendous runner. Maybe that's enough for him to have a long, fruitful career. Who knows? But he has sucked in the playoffs two straight years, so we'll see. I would prefer for him to fail because then that's one less hurdle for Allen and the Bills to jump over on their own road to a championship.

3 worst passing teams right now are...
MJS replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm still here. 300 yards passing is a useless stat that does not predict winning. -
Plus or Minus that Allen keeps throwing to struggling receivers?
MJS replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knox also caught TD's the last two weeks and would have caught one this week if it wasn't for the blatant PI that was called. -

I think he trusts them all. I don't think he is going to blame guys for making occasional mistakes. That would be hypocritical because HE makes mistakes too. Even Diggs has made a couple mistakes in games (not hurrying back to the line of scrimmage in a hurry up situation, and dropping a couple catchable balls). If you start "punishing" your teammates, where will that get you? Besides, it's up to the coaches to change the personel if they seem it necessary, like holding out Moss after his horrible fumble. -

That's not consistent with how they call it in the NFL or college. -
Thoughts on Chris Brown - One Bills Live?
MJS replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really like Brown. He, at least, knows a little about football and the x's and o's (more than Murphy, at least). I think most of his opinions are reasonable. Tasker is better than he used to be, but he is the one that has some outlandish takes every so often. And his interview questions are sometimes train wrecks. Overall I like them both. I usually skip over any segment with Maddy Glab. I find her annoying. -
Broncos may be without Gordon on Saturday
MJS replied to Herc11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lindsay is a good back, but he isn't great. We've faced better backs already. -
Yep. Nobody we face will be a pushover. We already lost to the Titans. The Ravens have beaten us the past two seasons. The Colts are good. The Browns can be great any given Sunday. I don't think the Dolphins will make it, personally. The AFC is pretty strong this year. Hope the Bills can elevate their game for the playoffs. Last year was great experience for the team, especially Allen.

But Allen had the clutch gene and was a gamer. Lock doesn't really have that.

Yeah, he made some good points too. He talked all game for 3 hours. But I thought some of what he said was not really accurate, or especially not supported by the particular replays they were showing. -
Yeah, we've faced some tough defenses already and still have more to go. NE can show up and play defense, and Miami has a tough defense too.

Doesn't the league usually move slow on these things? Unless he gets added to the commissioner exempt list, I kind of doubt that anything will happen this season. But I admit I don't know the particulars for this player and his situation. -
That Allen stiff arm picture is pretty sweet.

Wallace interception spot/Camera angles
MJS replied to SoCal Deek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They clearly got it right. Allen was wrong, then. He started his slide about a yard short. -

He began his slide before the first down marker. When you begin your slide it is immediately dead. Give it another watch. -

I thought a lot of his analysis was poor. He'd talk about how the Steelers are getting tons of pressure and Watt is unstoppable, but show a replay of Williams stopping Watt single handedly and Allen having lots of time to throw. A lot of his particular points were just not supported by the replays. Also, it got a little annoying that every time he would mention a player he'd say "they just love this guy". It's like, yeah, they're on the 53 man roster so that means they probably like all their guys, but come on... -
Still, Bass needs to kick it lower so it's not a judgement call for the refs. It's an extra point, not a 60 yarder.
