  1. Yeah, he just never says anything new or interesting. Just all the same stuff he has been saying forever. Every touchdown is: "Touchdown! Touchdown Buffalo!" and then he describes the TD in such a painfully simple way: "Josh Allen threw the ball to Diggs, who ran it into the end zone! Wow!"
  2. I figured Darnold and Mayfield would be gone by the time the Bills picked, so that left me wanting Rosen. I didn't want Jackson because of the Tyrod years. I just wanted an NFL passer, not a running back who could also pass sometimes. The media told me not to like Allen, so I didn't. I don't watch college, so I gain my opinions from the talking heads and watching highlights and stuff. They convinced me that he was too erratic and that nobody could ever overcome a sub 60% college completion percentage. They also talked up Rosen a lot.
  3. It never ends with this guy. I can't see how this ends with him keeping the team.
  4. Hey, I've been waiting for this team for my entire life, basically. So happy it is finally here.
  5. My Superbowl pick for last year was Bills versus Rams. Got half of it right, at least.
  6. Some of them annoy me. Some of them I like. But there is only one that I can't stand and consider muting the TV for: Chris Collinsworth. I'll also say the Monday night guys were pretty cringe worthy last season. Those guys really annoyed me.
  7. The Bills don't have rumors. Only speculation.
  8. There's some truth to that, I suppose.
  9. People talking up Bowles, but to me, he doesn't have the temperament you want as a coach. He is too reserved, soft spoken, and he seems lacking as a motivational leader. I actually think that is a great temperament for a coordinator, because he can stay calm, cool, and focus on getting the right plays called without getting too hyped up or emotional by what transpires in a game. But as a head coach, you want more, I think.
  10. How did it go? No wait. Don't spoil it for me.
  11. Has to be health related, right? Arians looked like he could barely handle it last year. His health is not good at all.
  12. Receiving more targets is another indication of good play. 2020 was his best year. Period. It's not true that he had been regressing since 2019. I will agree that he has had two years of injury issues, though.
  13. And then you drive down and score to tie it up, then give the ball back to the other team to go win it. That's the problem. The 3rd possession is the possession where you can win it. I know people are bringing up 2 point conversions, but those are low percentage plays. Get the ball first. Go score. The other team gets it. Stop them from scoring, or even if they do score, you have the next possession to go win the game. If you want to bring 2 point conversions into it, fine, but it is just as easy for the first team to try it as the 2nd team.
  14. I thought it was common knowledge that he was playing injured most of the season last year, and I do remember it being rib injuries. That's why he would catch the ball and go down before contact, unlike previous seasons where he would fight for extra yeards. I have no idea about the injury reports, though.
  15. I grew up in the drought years and that's basically what I knew. But I was still influenced by the 90's teams. They were legends for me. Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas, etc. I'd go back and watch highlights and look at stats. I couldn't wait for the team to get good again and have another run like that. So, even though I was too young to appreciate the 90's team when that was happening (I was born in 1989), I sure gained that appreciation later. That being said, I am a fan because of my dad. He grew up in the Buffalo area and passed that fandom on to me. That's how it works for 99% of Bills fans.
  16. The Bills aren't going to sweep Miami for the rest of time. At some point, Miami is going to beat the Bills once. Maybe it's this year, maybe it's not. But the Bills are the better team by far at this point.
  17. And then subsequently lose on the next possession from a field goal in sudden death.
  18. I hate Greg Rosenthal. He had Josh Allen ranked pretty low all season long, and had some ridiculous rankings higher on his list. Now that the nation has a Josh Allen craze, he decided to rank him higher. He is just a nerd who thinks he is smarter than everyone else.
  19. There aren't two. It's the same city, but since it is on the border, the city has portions on both sides.
  20. If you miss it, the other team wins. If you kick the extra point (which is an extremely high percentage play) you at least give your team a shot. That's why you take the ball first, so you have the 3rd possession and can win in sudden death.
  21. Two point conversions are low percentage plays. If you miss it, the other team wins.
  22. You take the ball. It's not even a debate.
  23. You will never see a team choose to kick ever unless it is an extreme weather game and direction is more important. I'm having trouble following your logic. If you take the ball and score, you can then prevent the other team from scoring to win the game, or if they do score, you have the first try at a sudden death score to win the game. If you kick the ball, your opponent can go score, and then the pressure is on you to match them. Even if you do match them, you then give them the first shot of a sudden death score to win. No team is ever, ever going to take that risk. I believe it's because of the stats. If you look at the regular season overtime numbers, getting the ball first gives you only a small advantage, and usually the team doesn't win on that first possession. It usually takes multiple possessions to win. The numbers are a lot different in the playoffs. The coin toss winner has a considerable advantage. I'm guessing this is because in the playoffs you have much higher instances of elite QB's and offenses in general. So, I bet they are fine with the slight advantage in the regular season, but felt like they needed to do something to take away the considerable advantage in the playoffs.
  24. No, because if both teams score, whoever has the third possession can go win the game with a TD or field goal. You want that third possession, so you take the ball first.
  25. Ok. Whatever. It's honestly no different. The defense still has to make a stop at some point.
