What's the point of a mock draft before free agency?

Quote from Josh highlighting the Bills' flawed thinking...
MJS replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really? Because the Chiefs copied plays from the Bills and used them in the superbowl. The Chiefs are absolutely looking to other good teams to see what they can learn and how they can compete. -
Why are you threatened by people saying nice things about Hurts? It literally has nothing to do with Allen. Both of them can be good QB's. I know I was impressed by him. He is definitely on an upward trajectory. Since he's in the NFC, it really doesn't affect the Bills at all.

They were hoping for the free draft picks if someone hires him.

There has been lots of smoke for years about there being turmoil in KC and Bieniemy is not well liked by the players and other coaches. He has also been interviewed many times for a HC position, and the rumors are that he interviews terribly. Where there is smoke, there is fire. There is something about him that is blocking him from getting more opportunities. I don't think he will ever be a head coach.

Why a new thread to say the exact same thing everyone else says? There are literally dozens of threads a out the same exact thing.

That's true. That's why every halftime show sucks.

I agree, which is why I said they shouldn't have called it. But some fans are claiming the hold didn't happen and when they see it did, they claim it didn't affect anything (even though it clearly did). The level of outrage is ridiculous. You know what really lost the Eagles the game? Hurts fumbling and spotting the Chiefs 7 free points. Or how about getting zero pressure on Mahomes the entire game, with a historic sack defense?
-
It was a ticky tack call. It did affect the route, though. The initial hold does impede the receiver somewhat. I'm not sure why you and others don't want to admit that. It's obvious when you watch the play. I think they shouldn't have called it, but there were technically still grounds to call it, including an obvious jersey tug.
-
It clearly stopped his momentum.

That flag was not as bad as many others you see from officials. He WAS held. I don't think it was a bad hold. It was a ticky tack call, for sure, and in that moment you should probably let them play. I don't think the outrage is warranted, personally.

I agree. Josh has his own issues to clean up. He should not be immune from criticism. Yes, the oline needs to be a lot better, and yes, the defense needs to play better in key situations, but Josh made a lot of bad mistakes of his own last year. When your oline is not good, you need to get the ball out quicker, for one thing.

She was clearly lip syncing most of the time. I think they had her live voice once or twice for a few seconds, but that's all. There were so many times where she left the mic or lowered it too soon, but it didn't impact the vocals at all. That's what i don't like about it. Don't be a wuss. Sing it live.

Can't fit everyone.

That Eagles defense did nothing. Led the league in sacks and left Mahomes infinity time to throw in the 2nd half. It doesn't matter how good your defense is in the NFL today. You need a consistently dominant offense.

Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
MJS replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't project your own insecurities onto him. -
I wouldn't mind drafting a pair of olinemen high in the draft. I'm also hoping for a WR. I'd take a WR first and then maybe oline in rounds 2 and 3. Also, regardless of past failures on the defensive line, it is still a problem. You don't stop addressing a problem because you failed before. The dline needs to be fixed as well. Von coming back will help, and Rousseau is good. But we need a better 3rd edge rusher to come off the bench. Settle turned out to be a non-factor, and Phillips is always hurt, so we need a better interior dlineman off the bench as well. Draft or free agency, but these positions need to be addressed too. And if we don't sign Edmunds, MLB is the #1 position to address on the team.

That's just good life advice for everyone. Avoid Twitter at all costs, regardless of what happens to your sports team.

I don't care if people want to complain and be sad about the loss. I find it childish when fans come on and demand change and make declarations that this coaching staff and this team will NEVER succeed. That's just a bunch of BS. If people want to talk objectively about what changes the team needs to make, and some do, I am totally happy with that. You can even say you want to move on from McDermott or other coaches and state your reasons, but to get all emotional and attack them ceaselessly is just childish. And the statements of finality are silly. This was not the last chance the team is going to have to make the superbowl. And there are a lot of FALSE statements being made, like McDermott never changes, or he's a bad coach, or he is unwilling to change the coaching staff. All of that is hysterics and objectively false. Go look at the history of this team under this regime. If you point that out, you get labeled a homer.

Locked On Bills, Cover 1, and One Bills Live are what I listen to. Locked On I listen to every day. One Bills Live I don't listen to everyday. Maybe once or twice a week. Funny, because the stats and rankings are the main reason I like the show. My least favorite episodes by far are the herd mentality episodes. But I'm a data and stats guy myself. That's what I do for work.
