You don't ever want to rely on contested catches. That means your receiver hasn't gotten separation. They are called 50/50 balls for a reason. Sometimes the defender makes a good play on those and comes up with an INT. Davis was catching a lot of those last year. Now, he isn't so much. That's where a lot of Allen's INT's have come. So basically, Allen wants to throw it to guys who are open and put it on the money because that is smart and effective. He doesn't want to put it in a contested catch situation because it is risky and he got burned multiple times this year. He will really only take risks with Diggs, now. And I'm fine with that. But also consider this: the Bills have a bunch of lower round draft picks at receiver. Diggs: 5th round. Davis: 4th round. McKenzie: 5th round. Shakir: 5th round. What does that mean? They lack elite traits. No big size/speed/athletic freak combos on this team at receiver. Knox is the closest thing. Wanting a bunch of wow catches I guess is understandable, but also a little unreasonable and unnecessary.

I was kind of indifferent to him resigning with the team. I thought he would be decent depth. I'm glad we have him now, with all the injuries we have been dealing with. He is good depth.

Part of the problem is a complete lack of understanding in the advancement of society over the past 100 years in the United States (and the world). The mind-boggling changes that the older generations have seen. The complete shift in average standard of living. My great grandfather, who I knew before he died a few years ago, went through the great depression and WWII, and he experienced real struggle in survival and standard of living. Even in my lifetime seeing the rapid rise of computers and technology. It's insane. It's incredible the younger generations can stoop to blame and derision for anyone who had to endure that vast change in their lifetimes. I know I'm not the typical millenial, and I fully understand that each generation has their own collective failures, but I really admire and respect those who came before and paved the way for a bright future for all of us. There are always bumps along the road. People don't think about the struggle that the baby boomers went through. Their parents were ravaged by war and the great depression. Their fathers had PTSD and physical trauma from the war. It takes many generations for a society to recover from mental trauma like that. And still they were able to do great things.

Uh, no. Almost every single climate saving technology and advancement has come from research and development by baby boomer entrepreneurs and scientists. Every advancement in civil rights since the 1960's has come from baby boomer leaders, politicians, and activists. And that's how wealth, leadership, and innovation work. You grow older, you get more wealthy as you get more experience, you gain more leadership opportunities, and then you retire and the next generation takes over. That's how it has always worked and how it will continue to work for the rest of time. Millenials are now taking over in wealth and leadership as we are now reaching a point where we have lots of experience in our fields and experience managing people. It's the normal progression of life. No baby boomer should feel the need to debase themselves like this.

The longest night of my life was staying up with my sick 2-year-old. She threw up every two to three minutes all night long. Poor thing. When I saw the sun rising I switched with my wife. By then she was throwing up only twice per hour, or so.

That is not normal for the flu. You must have had a particularly bad case. 3 to 7 days is the typical length of a flu, with residual cough lasting for a couple of weeks, sometimes.

I'm technically a millennial, but I find it highly disrespectful for people to make fun of and deride the baby boomer generation, personally. I think it is one of the more cringeworthy and childish things people do on the internet these days. Is it so much to ask for people to show kindness and respect to the generations that came before us? I guess so.

They held the other team under 20 points. That's all modern defenses can be expected to do. If you hold a team under 20 and can't score more than that, your offense failed you.

Sorry, but if you throw 2 INT's, lose a fumble, and lose the game, nobody will care how well you played otherwise. Also, it really just wasn't a good performance. He had a 54% completion percentage and a passer rating of 79.7. Three turnovers. This is what we call a bad performance. There's no way around that.

It was completely short sighted. How do you not realize that it is good for your team if more people are watching on television? What is especially surprising is how long it took them to get rid of the dumb practice.

The blackout rule is so bizarre. Why was it ever a thing?

Because Brady is a QB. He just has to stand there and throw a football. He doesn't have to get hit. He doesn't have to run.
