  1. Allen is the leading rusher, though. I don't think there is really anything to apologize about. The Bills running backs outside of Singletary had been pretty ineffective. The play calling went away from running the ball. There were legitimate concerns, and those concerns have been addressed with Moss gone, Cook developing and getting more opportunities, and the play calling sticking with running the ball more. They honestly seem to get demoralized early and after awhile it just looks like their whole team is just going through the motions. Belichick is also the least aggressive coach in the league. He is very conservative on offense. So if the defense has no hope in the offense getting a spark, that's another thing to demoralize you.
  2. That's probably true. I stand by my statement that I don't think he should have been ejected.
  3. Yeah, I know. I don't think it was flagrant and warranted an ejection. But honestly, I was not too bothered by it. It is what it is.
  4. You aren't allowed to hit them in the head. Doesn't matter if it is with your shoulder. Yes, the receiver was ducking down and he probably couldn't have done much about it, but that's what happenes sometimes. I don't think he should have been ejected.
  5. The Hamlin hit was a foul for sure. But he led with his shoulder and was probably trying to knock the ball out. The receiver was ducking down and got hit in the head. Hamlin isn't a dirty player. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone. And honestly, I'm surprised he was ejected.
  6. Really nice to see them stick with the run, for sure.
  7. Good win. They played smart football. Oline was pretty bad at times, but otherwise I liked what I saw.
  8. He did lead with his shoulder, but he hit the head and neck area. It is correctly a foul, but I am surprised by the ejection.
  9. Nope. He made a smart play. Just like he checked it down earlier to set up a field goal.
  10. Seems like the crowd is super quiet.
  11. Oh no, we have the spawn of Ed Hochuli tonight?
  12. The pass rush has not been solid WITH him actually. But a lot of that has been injuries. Hopefully with the others on the line getting healthy we will see improvement.
  13. Seems like a good offense to me. Basically a bunch of average guys with two super elite players. That's pretty awesome. BTW, Morse is more than just above average. He is a really good center.
  14. The Dolphins quick turnaround? They were 10-6 in 2020, 9-8 in 2021. You are acting like they were devoid of talent and rebuilt their team. They have been this team for a few years now. They just went through an insanely easy period of their schedule. Let's see how the season goes before we make any bold statements about the Dolphins. And even if they make the playoffs and go on a decent run, there is nothing quick about their turnaround. This is year 4 of their rebuild.
  15. Davis hasn't progressed as much as we all (including Greg Cossell) projected. Crowder is a good slot receiver, but he is injured. So yeah, outside of Diggs we do just have a bunch of guys at receiver. But Knox is a good TE. Singletary is a decent back and Cook is progressing. The offense is not devoid of talent. As for the oline, yeah, there are some issues. But it is a serviceable oline. The Bengals just went to the superbowl with a worse oline.
  16. Well, you never know. New injuries can and do happen. Just have to see how it goes. But it is also possible they can get healthy. Strange that we are to the point with injuries that we are EXCITED to only have Hyde and Miller out. The last couple of years we would have been really nervous if we were missing two players on defense of that caliber. This year it is the healthiest we have been for a very long time.
  17. It is all just a trickle down effect of the injuries. Tre White was out, which made Dane Jackson our #1. Hyde and Poyer have been out/hurt, which puts more backups on the field. Elam and Benford have been hurt, forcing even more backups on the field. Edmunds and Milano have taken turns missing games, putting more backups and more stress on the passing defense. And pass rushers have been hurt, which puts even more stress because the secondary has to cover for longer. This leads to the coaches trying to scheme differently to cover all the new player deficiencies and also the backups are not capable of doing all the things the starters are, and that eventually trickles down to Johnson having to account for a lot more and is asked to do a lot more, such as more man coverage and less help from the linebackers and safeties. Even one injury to a starter has a trickle down effect on all the other positions. If half the starters are out, that ripple effect is compounded each time. You can only do so much to cover it up. Backups are backups for a reason. Good depth is nice, nut not when half of your defensive depth is now asked to start. Really, we just need to get the defense healthy and all this stuff will fix itself.
  18. Hard for fans to make any of these determinations without knowing the health and fitness of each individual player. Ike is good depth, so idealy you would get him back ASAP. Benford and Crowder as well, although we have no idea where Crowder is in his rehab. But I would have a lot more confidence in the offense if we got him back, especially for the playoffs. I don't care about Stevenson. He hasn't done anything.
  19. Nope. It went straight to the dome fund.
  20. Adding a bunch of nobodies and cast-offs. I'm shaking in my boots.
  21. Such a versatile gif.
  22. I think it started with overconfidence. Josh stopped taking the easy throws and started looking for only the big throws. Once he threw a lot of INT's and actually lost the team a couple of games, it hurt his confidence and he is working his way back from that. Plus, the elbow injury. As for the team as a whole? Injuries caught up to them. Their depth held for awhile, but now there is significant film on all our backups, and they are backups for a reason.
  23. Did the play take the player out of bounds and he was seen there right as he was running back on the field, or has it actually been confirmed that he was not on the field for the start of that play?
  24. I mean, there are plenty, honestly. Jefferson, Hopkins, Kelce, Adams, etc are all capable of making that catch. They've all had big catches in big moments like that, including some against the Bills. But absolutely it was a great route and a great catch and a great competitive play from Diggs. I think the moment of it was the most impressive thing. Diggs has had more impressive catches than that with the Bills. Plenty more. But what sets this one apart is how NEEDED it was at the time. Big time players show up in those big time moments.
