Allen was in his slump before the elbow injury. I'm sure the elbow is affecting him, but his problem had been decision-making before the injury. Now, he needs to piece back together his confidence plus deal with the elbow. But I'm sure he'll be just fine on both accounts in a couple of weeks.

Romo has no bias against the Bills. That is a laughable claim.
-
Opponents sure complete a lot more passes when Edmunds is not playing.

Fans just fell victim to the classic training camp / preseason hype of a late round rookie.

Let's just forfeit now, then.

From where we are standing, what is your measure for a successful season.
MJS replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is really only one success and that is winning the Superbowl. Sure, there are teams that are viewed as "rebuilding" and you can point to, perhaps, a winning record and say that is a successful season. The Giants, for instance. For a team like the Bills, there are no moral victories. Either you win the Superbowl or you don't. There will be some disappointment if that doesn't happen. -
Joe Marino of Locked on Bills speaks often about missed tackle percentages and the Bills were excellent the first few weeks, then regressed back to bad again. The Bills have had one of the higher rates lf missed tackles the past few years. As far as individual players, basically all of the defenders have a poor rate except Tremaine Edmunds. He was the only one below 10%, unless something changed the past couple of weeks. Milano has always had a pretty high rate of missed tackles. I don't have the numbers myself, or I would post them. But it is a stat that is tracked and can be found. The Bills under Sean McDermott have always had a poor tackling defense (despite being so strong in other areas). All the starters have poor tackle rates as well. I'm not sure why. I don't think it is as simple as saying it is all on coaching. I know McDermott hammers and practices fundamentals. It just might be one of those things where most of our defensive players happen to have the same weakness. Could be an inherent flaw in the scheme. Not sure.

Be careful what you wish for. I don't see how you can go through each off season and see all the garbage coaches hired each year that inevitably suck horribly and get fired after one or two years and still think we should take our chance at that lottery. McDermott is a great coach. The team is where it is at because of him. He started it all.
-
His stats are decent because Josh Allen force feeds him the ball. But he drops the ball at one of the highest rates in the league and has not been good in contested catch situations. Last year he was much better at both of those, so we know he can do it. I like him, but he needs to improve.
-
At some point as a corner in this league you need to learn how to get your head around and make a play on the ball. That's what he is missing. I don't fault him on that crazy Jefferson catch where he had a hand on the ball, but Jackson usually plays the man and he needs to play the ball more. Seems obvious to me that this was the plan all along. It can't be a coincidence that Tre comes back EXACTLY one year after the injury. They decided to keep him out a full year, ramp him up the final few games of the season, and have him full go for the playoffs. (Just my opinion)

Because there are legitimately fans who hate McDermott. They are the worst types, but they exist. They hate him no matter what the team does. Why do you watch? You seem to hate it.

That picture shows me a receiver with his hand out with a Bills player half a yard behind him. Does the receiver separate after that?
-
I think this could be the worst I've ever seen him. Remember how he used to NEVER turn the ball over in the red zone? But even at his worst he can still take over games and will the team to victory. He is a pretty amazing QB.

Nobody batted an eye when the Ravens got decimated by injuries last year and failed to make the playoffs. The Bills are missing half the defensive starters, plus a number on offense, (plus Josh Allen has a hurt throwing arm), and people are saying we should fire the coaches sitting at 8-3. Just crazy.

My prediction came true! I predicted we would win a close one and all of the Negative Nancy's would still be freaking out.
-
You don't have to trade for OBJ. And nobody is signing him until he is ready to play.
-
Wilson threw for 150 yards and zero TD's against the Bills. By any one else's standards, that is being shut down. He has had plenty of games like that this year, btw.

Cardinals fire O Line coach after “incident” in Mexico City
MJS replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall
You seem to know what happened. Any insight? -
Do whatever you need to do to beat the offense. If that means you need to blitz, fine. If that means dropping into coverage, great. Scheme to beat the individual opponent.

NFLPA claims Owners colluded to not give out fully guaranteed contracts
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL is not a free market. It is a giant organization with collectively bargained rules. The owners have the power to not give out guaranteed contracts. The owners get together regularly and discuss issues related to the NFL as a whole. This is way different than Walmart and Target getting together to set a price ceiling for sneakers. Just wait and see. Nothing will come from this lawsuit. -
