How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
MJS replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I give the Bills the edge because they are at home and a pretty battle hardened team. I'm not really that confident, but I think the Bills will pull it off. -
Allen led all QB's in PFF Offensive Grade at 91.8
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, but he used to NEVER turn the ball over in the red zone. That changed this year. Those ones seem to hurt a lot worse. -
Halftime Adjustments a Myth! (Per Peyton Manning)
MJS replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's so awesome. Love it. I think coaches are trying to adjust throughout the game, but they actually have a few minutes to sit down and think through things (separate from the players) and perhaps decide on a few things to try during halftime. -
Rinse - Repeat: Blue on Blue in Divisional Round against the Bengals
MJS replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was going to say that. That's the only reason I can think of why they have been using it so much. -
Will your respect for Tom Brady change when he retires?
MJS replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I already respect what that scum bag has done, outside of the scandals. No change for me. -
Is it just me or do we always let offenses convert 3rd downs on us?
MJS replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
It seems like fans are demanding perfection. Teams are going to get plays against our team sometimes. The rules are designed to allow offenses to make plays against defenses. It's just how it is. Go watch other teams play and pretend you are a fan of either team. You'll see the same type of stuff regardless of what team you watch, although most are worse than the Bills. -
Is it my imagination but has Cris Collinsworth improved this season?
MJS replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he is biased because of the comments he makes in support of or against things that happen, such as when an official throws a flag in a key situation. If he likes a team or player, he will come out for or against the call, regardless of the evidence sometimes. You can also hear it when he is "praising" a play. He'll make it sound like a good play came out of nowhere when it is a team or player he doesn't like. When a player or team he likes makes a mistake, he is quick to excuse it or make up reasons why it happened. Yes, the rest of the time he is just spouting empty praise. -
Good guy. Horrible PBP. He just blandly describes the game. Every TD is "Touchdown! Touchdown Buffalo! The player caught the ball and crossed the goal line, which means he scored a touchdown. Wow!" He has no wit. He provides no color or imagination.

No. It's just him being a weirdo.

He's just older and more lazy. Thay has taken the edge off of him a little. But I still can't stand him. He is clearly biased for or against players / teams and I also hate his annoying voice. -
Did you seriously not watch the 4th quarter?

Expected Points Added. The most important NFL stat is also almost unknown.
MJS replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
The offense turned the ball over a bunch of times in their own end, or allowed huge returns after turnovers, and literally fumbled the ball and allowed a defensive score. The defense played really well considering the constant stabbing in the back that the offense continued. -
Interesting thought. But the consequences of that would be pretty unsafe. Players would start getting blasted in the back on every play and it WOULD lead to injuries as they are not able to protect themselves.

Billboard to get a message to the team — what would you say?
MJS replied to alton's topic in The Stadium Wall
"Good job winning a boat load of games and advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs and giving the team a chance to go to the superbowl. Keep it up!" -
He isn't really. Allen has check downs on every play that he can go to.

Yes. Most issues were due to player execution. Dorsey isn't out there telling Josh to throw the go route every time either. Josh was just a little flustered from getting blitzed all night. This season, I think the main issues have been, in order, 1) Receivers letting Josh down, 2) Josh making bad decisions, 3) the oline not giving enough protection, and lastly 4) Dorsey play calling. Yes, play calling has occasionally been an issue, including in this game, but I think the other issues I mentioned have been worse. And even with all of that we had one of the best offenses and win/loss records in the league.

I see more McDermott and Dorsey attacks than Josh Allen attacks. It's just insecure fans who can't handle a little adversity in a football game. If something goes wrong, even something small, the sky is falling and they need to find someone to blame. Since Allen is so loved, that means they need to blame the coaches. But why even need to grab pitchforks, folks? Just embrace the good and the bad and see how far this team can go. Dust off your pitchforks when we are eliminated, if you must.

Seriously. The drought has messed up this fanbase. They can't deal with normal, everyday things in the NFL like players leaving and having success elsewhere, or the Bills winning close games. Or heck, even losing a game every once in awhile. All of these things are the end of the world and means we need to fire everyone and start over. It's like we are dealing with toddlers. You have this strange, childish vendetta against McDermott. It is an obsession and says a lot more about you than it does about McDermott. Your tirades really make you look bad. You should probably cool it. Just friendly advice.

How? Josh is just standing there and Wilkins comes from nowhere to push him. Clearly Wilkins started it.

Yeah, except they won all those games...

Viking bailed out. What a horrible call.

It's the consecutive deep shots that get us behind the sticks that bothers me. We need to go into dink and dunk mode sometimes. -
He had a great game.

A lot of it comes down to execution from players. Not saying Dorsey is without any blame, but Josh Allen and other players have to take some blame too. Josh chooses where to throw the ball, you know. He is the one choosing to throw it deep time after time. He needs to take his check downs more often.
