If it's 4th and short, the play call is easy... or should be
MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't say I've seen a QB injured on a sneak before. Maybe it has happened, I'm not sure, but it is not common. Tom Brady did it all the time. If Tom Brady can risk his body to do it, Josh Allen should be able to as well. -
Tua and the fish Buffalo are running wild Now we have tuna

The oline is night and day from last year. And they should get better as the year goes as the right side gets more experience and the new faces gel even more. Dawkins is playing very well, in particular.

Stopping the Miami Offense (and Tua the wizard) - Lets hear the ideas.
MJS replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, they've played two mediocre teams (Chargers and Patriots) and one poor team (Broncos). They've been impressive offensively, but let's not crown them the champs yet. They literally did this last year and couldn't sustain it. -
Agreed, but McDermott is definitely more aggressive, and he has been getting the defensive line to play with more nastiness, as Greg Rousseau mentioned on the broadcast.
-
Yeah, but why would we add someone just because the rest of the team sucked? That seems like a pretty shallow reason.

OT: if the Pats lose to the Jets - how hot is the seat for their HC?

He's also the reason they are devoid of talent as the GM, so it is interesting. -
Nope, not even close.
-
Sorry. Not wall of fame worthy to me. Love him, though.

I'm on board for Kyle Williams and Eric Moulds. Those guys were excellent by NFL standards. I'm not really on board with Fred Jackson. He was an average NFL running back. I get that he was super popular and he has a great story, but the bug reason he is so loved is because he was basically the only decent thing about the Bills offense for a long time. To me, that doesn't make you wall of fame worthy. Brian Moorman is an interesting one. I'm not sure what to think because he was really good, but he was also just a punter, so I guess I'll say no to that. Butch Byrd is the guy who really needs to be added. 5x AFL All-Star, 3x First Team All-AFL, 40 INT's (Bills franchise leader). He should have been added a long time ago.

The Quarterback Push Play and Josh Allen
MJS replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
What are people complaining about? They are mad that they can't stop it? They were mad about the hurry up offense when that first started, and the forward pass. The game is supposed to evolve. -
Josh wasn't playing hero ball. Quite the opposite. He was rattled and confused, and when that happens he stops thinking and just wings it the best he can.
-
Grading Ken Dorsey? What are fans basing those grades on? Fans are clueless when it comes to evaluating a coordinator. Stupid poll.
-
He just needed more opportunity. Singletary outplayed him. If Moss would have had Singletary's role, he probably would have put up similar stats to him. They weren't all that different. Moss didn't really take advantage of his limited opportunities here, either. Maybe he is a guy who needs a bigger workload to get going.

Oline/QB Unforced Error All 22 Review - Week 2 Raiders
MJS replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice analysis. Joe Marino had similar things to say about Brown, that when he was one-on-one with Crosby it wasn't pretty. With the Bills running much more 12 personnel, that should make it more simple to have TE's chip and help block, so that is another benefit. Brown is the weakest link, but it is rare to have 5 good starters on an oline, so the Bills will need to make it work. At least he run blocks well. -
Practice injuries are the worst.
-
He should have been. Maybe the official didn't see it well.
-
Why isn't he ejected for throwing a punch?
-
Well, if Adams had caught the ball, a big hit from Rapp could have jarred it loose. There's no way he knows if he caught it or not in that instance with how fast it happened. Yes, he hit him in the wrong area, but it is sure hard not to when Adams is falling out of the air almost sideways. I think it was correctly a penalty, but it was a bang-bang play and there was nothing malicious about it. Adams is just angry. Sure, because it is a penalty. But hits like that happen. Watch it in real time speed. It is much harder to avoid than many are saying. If Adams caught the ball, a hard hit from a safety (if legal) could have jarred it loose.

OT…Have sports debate shows run their course?

Were they ever popular? -
She already has money, so I wonder what she is attracted to.

USFL-XFL merge; become UFL w/USFL and XFL divisions
MJS replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't watch, but it is another avenue for player development and scouting for the NFL. I hope it gets bigger and profitable and remains a good avenue for players to get back into the league. There are already success stories.
