Mills has to be replaced. Groy needs to be Center (Bodine blows). Re-energized Miller helps fill 1 OG spot, hopefully. Need another OG and OT to step up.

Weeks 1-16 (17). The best 48 hours of my year. I get so jazzed up the days leading up to each game. The morning of I do a 2+ hour workout to try to calm down. My wife stays away from me (a bonus, at least on football Sunday) and I coach from the couch the entire game. I love it, though. When they win, I have a great week. When they lose, I'm miserable. It's a disease, but I don't want a cure. Go Bills.

Your legs are as pasty white as mine. That's why you should wear sweat pants, dummy. Geesh, you have a lot to learn. -
If the Bills TRADE UP for Josh Allen...
BuffaloBillies replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Allen part wouldn't bother me, the trade up would. I want to win in 2018. We need our picks! (ILB, OT, C, OG, CB, WR). Honestly, I'd be fine with any of the top-8 QBs as long as we can get 5 day 1 starters in rounds 1, 2, 3. A golden boy QB likely won't even play (much) in 2018. -
4-11: Dane Brugler Talks NFL Draft on WGR
BuffaloBillies replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No confusion. Just analyzing as much as possible and prior performance has to at least count for a little something, doesn't it? I'm NOT saying it is at all a primary deciding factor... just a factor. Rudolph 65% and 5,000 yds... Allen 56% and 1,800 yds. last year. Just something to look at. -
4-11: Dane Brugler Talks NFL Draft on WGR
BuffaloBillies replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Say what you want about Rudolph (team, schedule, system, guys around him, etc), but it's tough to argue with his stats: Improvement every year. 65% comp pct. Nearly 5,000 yards last year with a 37/9 TD/Int ratio and a passer rating that is off the charts. Maybe it won't translate to NFL, but at least you'd know he's put up numbers like this in the past, so physically he's capable. -
He's ranked right around the middle of the pack (15th or 16th) in every statistical punting category. Good enough for me. If you're worried about whether the punter is good enough, then the team obviously has bigger issues to deal with.

Trade up AND Trade down? Just ran some numbers off the value chart. Hypothetical (approx)... Trade #21 up to ~#7 (top 10), and give up #21, #53, #56 Then, Trade #22 down to ~#32 (bottom 10), and receive #32 and #64 (a low 2nd round). NET: Original Picks: #21, #22, #53, #56 Trade UP/Down Scenario: #7, #32, #64 May be something creative like that?

Through 17 games this year (correct me if I'm wrong).... ZERO blocked punts ZERO blocked FGs/PATs ZERO KO Return TD ZERO Punt return TD I don't remember Bills even getting close to a blocked kick either. Bills Kickers and coverage teams are fine... but would be nice to block a kick here and there and return 1 or 2 a season.

The Time is Now McBeane!
BuffaloBillies replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What would it take to get Bridgewater? (a 1 or 2 year deal) Draft whichever QB falls to top Bills pick as well (Rudolph?) Go into camp with Bridgewater, Rudolph, Peterman. Assuming don't have to give up the farm for Bridgewater, still have top picks to fill holes: OT, LB, WR, OG, CB -
I don't trust the process(ed) meats.

Offensive PI (rule change to consider)
BuffaloBillies replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The current rules on offensive PI are fine... they just need to call it! So many receivers push off, even some (most) of the star WRs around the league. They got good at it too... extending their arm about 80% right before the ball comes, but not 100%, so the zebras let it go, but it's a major advantage. -
Video of McCoy angry after the game
BuffaloBillies replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Run the ball. Period. It actually reminded me of the Bills/Dallas MNF with dumb*ss Jauron (and co.) having Trent Edwards throw a flat pass at the 8 yard line (pick six), when a FG would have ice'd the game. We went on to lose that one too. Throwing the ball in OBVIOUS running situations is just asking for trouble. Why do it? -
Video of McCoy angry after the game
BuffaloBillies replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's probably (rightfully) pissed they didn't give him the ball up to 4 straight plays at the 1 yard line. He knows he would have got 1 yard and a TD. Dumbest play calling of the year. Don't tell me it's TT's fault. RD shouldn't have called an RPO. Just a straight dive play right up the gut. No decision needed by TT at that spot. -
Run up the gut 4 straight plays. If you don't get 1 yard, you don't deserve the points. No one was even lined up over the center. I think TT could have just snuck it in anyway. PLUS, if you don't get it on 1st or 2nd, you're burning more clock and/or Jax uses their timeouts. Save the pass plays MAYBE for 3rd and 4th down - but run on 1st and 2nd for sure.

Keep the picks or just get a QB?
BuffaloBillies replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Important to realize that Tyrod helps mask some of the problems on the OL. He often escapes where most other QBs would get sacked or rush throws (ala Peterman's horrendous half). You could draft the #1 QB, but without a solid OL, they'll be toast too. The big uglies is where it needs to start. Hoping for a couple big monsters to solidify that group. OT, OG, and may even need a center (Wood is adequate for now, but likely not for long). -
Keep the picks or just get a QB?
BuffaloBillies replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sit tight. Take a QB if one of the right ones fall to first pick (I also love Rudolph - he'd likely be there). Bills need top-3 round quality for new: OT, DT(s), LB, DE, CB (if lose EJ). Later rounds: more OL help, RB, other flyers. -
